Mood Songs
Jan 8th, 2010 at 6:28pm

I find these songs seem to help put me in the mood to "visit other worlds".  But, maybe that's just me.

Give a listen, if you like.  They are Native American music, performed by the Native American Band, "Sacred Spirit".  They use a mix of traditional instruments and modern instruments -- the sound is very nice indeed.

Thank you, Quaero!
Those are very fine melodies!  They do seem to help alter my state of mind.
Do you know anything about how their composer?

Lots of posts about "PUL" these days.

Here's something that shows what it is.

Bets,

I really don't know anything about them, personally.  However, I did find this interesting article about them on Wikipedia, and find that some of my assumptions about them were a little off.

Rondele,

That video is very moving.  I sent the link around to my friends.  Not many will be able to watch that without tearing up -- I sure couldn't.

P.S.  Paul Hardcastle, of course, is a top notch Jazz composer in London.

Hi

Thanks Rondele, for the link to the PUL site of Daryl Markham.
I hope he keeps recording!

Has anyone listened to the music of Boris Mourashkin? I had an old cassette tape of his I listened to recently, after many years, called Bio-Energetic Psychotropic Music, and it was refreshing to hear at that moment. Now I have received and listened to a later work, called Points of Light, and it takes me into an interesting place(s). This is considered healing music, of a special kind. Like a lot of sound effects and musical passages, mixed together, really wonderful and enchanting in places, while challenging in others.
