The Focus 27 'Dreamer's Class'
Aug 28th, 2009 at 4:43am

This was mentioned once by Tgecks in the PE forum about there being a dreamer's or sleeper's class as he called it that we all supposedly go to every night when we dream.

What is this 'class'? It seems such a strange thing to me, because whenever I dream I seem to travel a lot, and am rarely in a class setting, although I recall spending lot's of time wandering in schools that 'feel' familiar. I even remember one dream about being grateful to a teacher that I felt I knew in the dream, but upon waking, never knew in physical reality.

So, does anyone know what this 'dreaming class' is that we have in Focus 27 that we are supposed to be so familiar with? What purpose does it serve and is it really where everyone goes when they dream, or just some people? Because I feel like I am all over the place when I dream! Am I really just sitting in a class in Focus 27 every night?

Thanks, everyone!

PUL,

Hi,

I hope tgecks will reply.
Ever since he said that, I've been been more analytical with my dreams, even the normal night-time generic versions, so that I have more of a sense of closure regarding what they were showing me.
For example, I've had a series of dreams where I'm with rather large groups of people who seem to have free run through my apartment or home. I used to wake up asking what in the world they thought they were doing  Smiley Now I see them as tests or samples of life that are shown to get a reaction from me. So in my postdream reviews I've added my conclusions that I don't think that many people  know me that well, and that I don't know them that well either.  Cheesy

The New York Times devoted 2 large pages to three individuals who've been using their dreams to get them through their real estate problems rather successfully. I was surprised that regular media would publish about a 'dreamers' class.'

I have been to a number of differant classes. The one I have been frequenting as of late has been assisting me in discharging emotional attachments. Great stuff, but at times, fairly overwhelming. Until I get the lesson that is anyways. Then I tend to give my head a shake. So there is more than just the one. Perhaps TG can advise you as to the class he is attending.

I think the classroom scenerio is a symbolic representation created by our higher mind to give some context to the learning experiences we undergo in nonphysical dimensions while sleeping.  Chances are we are not really in classrooms.

I agree with Out of Body Dude. Chances are a classroom is not actually a classroom, a table is not actually a table, etc. But, I don't see any reason not to see it that way.

i wouldn't say in my experience it is like when I went to school. That sort of class. In the last class there must have been at least three or four thousand souls/idents there. But a class, it was. Learning was the goal. Just not a classic class room setting. I have even watched movies or experiences via rote(?) Just like watching a movie. I have also to agree that perception has a lot to do with it. By living it within a class, perhaps that is what relates it to a learning experience and not just some dream. The experiences themselves are a real as real can be. When working within the physical, within the experience, that "table" is as real as the one you sit at for dinner. When it comes to the traveling Ally, what comes up before and after the traveling? Thats when I notice there is more than the trip its self.

Bob Monroe makes several references to the sleepers' class in Far Journeys, one in Chapter 7.  He went by or through in one journey, discovering that he had moved on in knowledge and couldn't attend any more.  He doesn't say everyone attends every night but apparently lots of folks do lots of the time.  After all, this whole journey is about learning and we have much of it to do and many ways to do it.

Hawkeye, I'm not entirely sure how to go about explaining my travels. Mainly because I only remember bits and pieces of my dreams for the most part; very rarely do I remember whole ones, so I hardly know how they begin and end.

From what I can recall, sometimes my dreams just naturally conclude and transition to the next one. And sometimes I can't tell that one ended until it 'clicks' to something entirely different. And I hardly ever go lucid, either, although I imagine that would help greatly with my remembering them, and understanding what's going on.

I have so much trouble interpreting my dreams with the ones I remember well enough. But I am always left with these feelings of I was doing something important, and exploring. ALWAYS, I am exploring. I do know that one for a certainty. It's just, I don't know What I am exploring.

I always seem to be hanging in other people's houses, or residences with many others, and it is fairly often that I feel like I know these people, and some of them are my friends. But almost always, No One that I feel I am friends with in the dreamworld are people that I know here in the physical. I only see one person on occasion that I know in the physical, and it is my cousin and friend. We drifted apart some years ago, but we still keep in touch. She was once my best friend. She is the only person I know in the physical that I see in my dreams from time to time.

I have always had a very quiet social life in the physical. But in the dreamworld, it seems I must know hundreds of people!! I sure do seem to be constantly around people, and in their houses, and even riding in a car with their families! But, it is never clear, mostly hazy and vague.

I recently dreamed about my cousin and I in some kind of school building and dormitory type setting. Felt like a school she was attending. She and I left somewhere where there was no people. Looked like a public kitchen of some kind, but white colored and apartment style. The lights were off, but there was still enough light for me to see. My cousin sat down somewhere, seemed to be tired, and said she was going to rest for a minute there, and I told her I would make her a sandwich. I went to the refrigerator and started looking for ingredients to make a sandwich. Everything in there was unfamiliar, but I remember finding a half cut tomato, and a half cut onion, I even noticed that the onion looked a bit old and brownish on the cut part, but still useable, so I took it. I found a couple of bottles of mustard, and took one which was a squeeze bottle. Then I looked in the side part for other things, but couldn't find the rest of what I was looking for, I noticed a bottle of some kind of liquid fruit or preserves with writing and a name that seemed strange of which I can't remember now. And, before I could finish the sandwich, I woke up. I remember the feeling of wanting to help my cousin, to do that for her.

So, does anyone have any idea what my classes are about? I'd like to know more. Tongue

love and light,

I just saw this thread. Bob Monroe wrote about this, and described it like rows of hooded figures in a class, but I certainly do not see it in a physical classroom or any actual physical location. Actually I see it like groups of glowing orblike balls of energy, not hooded figures, and not really in rows. Sometimes it is much more detailed, but not in these so-called "sleeper's classes". I find I sleep very soundly for two 1 1/2 hour sleep cycles without waking, and very soundly, and with little memory of dreams during that time. Then the rest of my sleep-time is less sound, with more vivid dreams and OBEs. It depends on what I am doing the next day, actually, and I try to stay "in" when I have to work the next day. But those quiet hours in the dark of the very early morning are great times to go out of body, as the line between sleep and awake is blurred.

But as you see with the PE, having a group energy is both alluring and literally attractive, and we apparently learn some truly valueable things in those classes. I think that what distinguishes many in this group is that we can (to a greater or lesser degree) awaken within that dream, and such rote classes might seem slow and trivial to such spiritual adventurers.

Sometimes my nonphysical learning experiences occur in the classic classroom setting, where I am either sitting amoung other students learning, or sometimes up in the front of the class teaching.  Other times my learning experiences occur just about anywhere else, sometimes even in exotic locations hard to describe.  I remember once I was under water learning how to gather manipulate energy from an underwater being, being taught by a helper.

Hi,

Now I see we've been talking about two slightly different areas of dreaming. I (and maybe Ally) was thinking that any dream is instructive, and, more definitively, Monroe's and your experiences where a type of classroom situation is visited.
(Just to muddy the boundaries abit, I'll mention that classroom teachers often dream of classrooms, and those dreams seem like they could be dreams of any type.)

Ally, those things you got from the refrigerator for your cousin are probably all symbollic but perhaps on a more personal level, maybe between you and your cousin. You could try posting it in the Dream Forum as some people specialize in where they look on this site.  Smiley Maybe such a specialist could help answer your questions.

I agree that while some of my dreams definitely seem more instructive in nature, all dreams are learning experiences.  No different than how our physical experience is one of constant learning.  In my opinion any and every experience we have, physical or nonphysical, is meant to be learned from.
