in defense of politics, race, and culture

This is in response to some who see the Other Side as a place where politics, race, and culture would become irrelevant. If what we are after is a multiplicity of truths, politics, race, and culture are all very valid expressions of differing individual experiences and truths.
Violence, racism, and so on are terrible but I am a big believer in a civil exploration of different ways to live and organize society. If anything, I could see greater advancement leading to ever more complex politics.
Besides, without these things life would be quite boring. Kind of like visions of the other side where it is perpetually light...no weather, no night sky, no SLEEP, no feeling of coming in from the cold.
Does anyone like to watch movies about people getting along in perfect harmony?
Haha, I mentioned this to my mom and she said "No positive or negative passions of any kind? Sounds like hell to me." I PUL my mom.
