Bird PUL !?
Aug 15th, 2008 at 11:50am

Greetings,

This one's weird, so don't read it if you're conflicted about this whole realm -- or maybe you should, more than anyone ---

Birds (phoebes) raised a family in a basket on my porch, but they're done now so I removed the nest in order to give the plant a good watering.  I disliked the idea of having to touch, even tug, the nest away, due to bird groobies, yuck, etc.   Tongue
Surprisingly to me,
the nest had the most beautiful sense to it,
--it felt like PUL !  It felt like loving kindness ! Like shaking hands with a really kind person !  Cheesy  Cheesy  It was amazing!

These small beings had emitted a sense of harmony--happiness, love for each other --
all despite our turning on the porch light at odd hours, walking by, slamming the door, etc.

Some time back we discussed picking up the vibes of people in a mall, and what vibe is left on used books, etc.
but those were human-sized vibes!  I really hadn't thought about the little creatures and how much they contribute.
It's humbling.

Bets

How fortunate for you to pick up on the PUL. Such beautiful energy to experience. Never doubt its existence with the nest. I look at it as complete willingness to sacrifice everything for the survival of family. What All of us are here to do. Give of ourselves for the betterment of others, and others of our group. The coolest thing Bets is that I feel the PUL and the emotion attached to it, to you,  by reading your post. Thank you for sharing it.

I often feel that with bird nests.   For some odd reason, more with the little carefully made woven or clay nests...maybe because more time was spent on them?

I have a dozen or so little nests in an artifical cactus (had to keep the ugly thing, it was a gift - so now it's prettied up with bird nests).  Some have horse hair woven through in what must have been hours of effort.

Hi--

Cricket, your arrangement seems symbollic of bringing life to the desert, innocent life among the thorns. I bet it speaks stronger than alot of sculpture in galleries.

'Mine' I placed in a very small (sort of semi-bonsai) Japanese maple, blink. It had been woven into three of the strongest Boston fern fronds - three points being the most stable  Shocked   I can't match that craftsmanship and just put it into where several branches meet.  Smiley
