For the glory...
Jun 13th, 2008 at 8:33am

Interesting little experience this morning, although I wouldn't necessarily read too much into it. Meditating in a state on the edge of dreaming but still fully conscious I dropped into feeling a little angst about the direction of my life - from a relatively personalised perspective. Not thinking about it, more a mood or a feeling.

Think i momentarily tipped over into a lucid dreaming state, but next thing this ordinary looking chap was saying to me 'it's for the glory'. I found myself adding ...'of God', although this may have been my background memory of a phrase i've often heard kicking in.

It seemed so apt. He was basically saying 'snap out of it', don't be feeling sorry for yourself - all you need to do is to get on with it. With 'glory' meaning not some sort of simple adulation, but rather the purpose for, or reason for creation of this whole existence.

Conditioning or not, what was interesting too is that it was much more biblical language than I would normally use these days given my exposure to Buddhism and the Eastern traditions...

Greetings Vajra,

I'm noticing that much of our explorations are expanding past beliefs
rather than obliterating old paths. We seem to be spiraling/helixing
upward and outward, in tune with the pattern of the movement of
galaxies and universes. This seems like a good thing.  Smiley

He seems like a CW worker Ian. (consciousness worker. this term coined by TMI here, Bruce in his books calls them helpers and guides.

they insert their thought as a way to help us to higher thought. they can change our mood for the better often times.

Some helpers come from religious avenues. the funny thing is, Christianity started up in the East.
so in all religions of a mix of Eastern beginnings. a little of this, a little of that.

you can even find an athlete says "it's for the glory..." it's not necessarily religious.

IMO, we can pick up others thoughts as easy as breathing, but don't realize it.  Just like a big mind matrix or field.  We are all telepathic, but have forgotten this.

Smiley Smiley Smiley  Yes Vajra, it is for the glory, not just a big mistake. What we go through serves a purpose.

Hi all, thanks for the inputs. I've been sick since last weekend with a stomach virus, am just getting going again this evening. It's not been very pretty.

Smiley I almost missed your little extra level of meaning there R. Yes, it certainly is a reassuring and hugely uplifting thought that none of it is wasted...
