Your news makes me very sad for you. When I saw your name in the post column I was so pleased that you were visiting here again and hoped so much that the title of your thread referred to someone else's misforturne, not yours.

Most cultures that have kept in touch with their spiritual connections believe that the soul doesn't enter until quite late in the pregnancy.
Most or all say that the experience was requested by the souls involved to learn----       s      something. ?  While we are in the physical, it's hard to remember how spiritual entities think of life here on Earth.

How is your health, Dearheart? I hope you are taking care to be easy on yourself while you heal body and spirit.

Sunrise/Chaos - my deepest condolences.
My wife and I miscarried three times. In every case, I've had a chance to meet with the children in spirit well before they melded with their physical bodies (which occurs much later on in the pregnancy)
Sometimes a miscarriage is planned, sometimes it's just happenstance of the physical. Interestingly, the spirit that finally did make it to be our son was unsure of his arrival given our track record. I had to assure him that his physical body was doing well inside Mommy.
I view a miscarriage as a missed opportunity for parents to be with a particular spirit. There is hope that a future pregnancy can bring back the same spirit.
In my belief system, every child spirit is simply an admixture of energies from a soul that incarnates many, many times. Often, our soul and their soul know each quite well and may even be part of the same soul group (that is, known each other, practically forever).
Knowing this, still doesn't make it any easier...

I have been assured that the souls of our lost children continue, even under conditions such as yours. I am sorry for your loss and I hope you are receiving every support that you need. I have also been assured that the children are named and raised by others related to you in the afterlife, so you will meet your child later, if this child does not receive the choice to return to you here. I have actually had an experience of retrieving a child once, so I believe they are there, in the afterlife realm.
