Is there anyway I could find out who I was in a past life.  Is there anyone here who is able to do that?

Hi noslord,

There is a fellow here named Dave who posts regularly and is an expert in this field of work. He has been absent for a few weeks, from what I can tell. He has left here a huge amount of information in his posts on this site.

There are cds you can buy on the web which can help you to have meditative experiences in which you may review past lives.

However, if you prefer a more personal approach, you might find a full length session or two with an experienced provider of this service to be longer and more intense. Plus, if you don't remember the session, and hear your words on a recording later, I can only imagine that it would be mesmerizing.

I have used a couple of cd's and had some interesting results. But then, I didn't have a particular goal or problem I focused on. Perhaps it's best to define your purpose first.

The exciting thing about looking into a past life, to me, is the interesting feeling of being in another person's shoes, and of actually experiencing a point of view from inside the skin of a different personality than the one you recognize as yourself.

Do you meditate? What has brought you to be interested in your past lives?

welcome, blink

Greetings and Welcome, Noslord,

Yes, many people here have a strong sense of who they were previously but I don't know how to proove it.   Smiley

If you are getting a sense of who you might have been, you might be wise to keep a log/ journal of what reminders you've had--dreams, newsclippings, anything that made your heart jump at the thought. Gradually the pieces form a whole that cannot be denied.

Any non-physical explorations require a pure heart and healthy body--not 100% but cleared more than clutterred. meditation, less meat, etc etc. have you done any of that yet? It's hard to tell what stage you're at since this is your first post.
If you could say anymore about yourself or your search, someone with that type of experience could give you more sepcific information.

It's an interesting search and more interersting is the spiritual reality you will become involved with as a side effect of your search!  Smiley

I have never figured out who I was in my many past lives. Unlike some who believe they might have been Kings or Queens, famous people and the like, I most likely have always just been me. Someone who has been a searcher of truths and lessons. I think the more important thing is to find out who you are in this lifetime. Sometime it takes a lifetime to do just that.

Thank you for your posts.  I have had a recurring dream of being in a massive battle or war.  I don't know why I think it was a past life, but I just have a feeling and I was interested in investigating it further.

I have been trying to go out of my body using hemi-sync.  The farthest I can get is to start floating above my body.  At that point my heart starts pumping uncontrollably and I get "sucked" back in.  At that point I'm all the way back to starting over again and I fall asleep.

Congratulations, Noslord, on your progress!

You are doing test runs, a very good way to start out of body explorations. Many writers  suggest hovering over your body to test the silver/blue chord that connects the two--it needs to get used to being out and get stretched, etc.

Another way to get out of the physical body that avoids the chord is to think of an interesting building in your area and imagine what it looks like from above it's roof. Sometimes your imagination will take off and you'll be seeing parts that you had no way of knowing about . Choose a historic of famous building so you can go look it up later to try to find photos of it from the air.  --that's how I first learned I'd been out. It's called active imagination and our host Bruce Moen considers it preferrable to alot of other methods.

A battle certainly would have memorable dramatic moments that would be hard to forget  Shocked ! and might come tomind when you hear of current ones or read about them.  Good luck on that! do you hear any names during it that might help you research it? Remember it's not real any more, nothing can hurt you.  You might even go into it feeling sympathy and brotherly love for the casualties. the love you feel will protect you.

I have a "past" life regression CD by Brian Weiss that i don't need anymore.   If you live in the U.S., I could send it to you for free if you want?

Hello Noslord,

While it is almost impossible to prove or verify the truth about a previous life, I have memories about events and people that I simply cannot trace in this life. Sort of someone I know and who is a close friend but at the same time I don’t recall ever interaction or meeting with this person ever in this life. Therefore, this event or person must come from some other reality, dimension or realm that I was once familiar with but had forgotten in this present life.

I think if the above case is true for you it will indicate strongly that you have had a previous existence "somewhere" and "somewhen", not neccsarily on this planet, however.

Do the above resonate with you in any way or am I not making any sense?

I just know in my case there are somethings I just relate to or can’t identify in this present life. Ahh! Difficult to explain and perhaps a bit convoluted, maybe other members more familiar with reincarnation can take my somewhat vague explanation and put it in easier words to understand

Anyway, that is my best effort.

Alan
