Pain in ethereal bodies?
Apr 18th, 2008 at 12:42pm

Greetings,

Last week I did a stupid thing, and dipped my fingers into boiling oil while arranging egg rolls Shocked   Before then I was pretty happy because the previous week had included several explorations farther than I'd ever been before, and a couple of somewhat successful visitations to heavenly realm newbies. (It just keeps getting better !)

One of the explorations had involved emerging from four (I believe) ethereal bodies, so far that even my spine, or some sort of such an axis, was dissolved or moved out from. I mention this because of the sensations that lasted after the hot oil incident--besides a rolling deep wave of acheing, there was also a repeated  fine stabbing like being sewed up by a saber, particularly ner my spine. I'm pretty stoic usually but this combination made me want to yell whoa and whimper at the same time.  Cry

Do any of you have any antidotes or ideas on what to do in such a situation? Aspirin did nothing, my usual AL tonics of olive oil with lemon, and extra-sweet lemonade --zilch,    and Justin, I didn't have any figs.

Betson

Bets,

I have had the awful experience of being murdered during an OBE. Now I know it could be a memory of another existence or me objectively feeling the pain of another person being murdered in the here and now.

What do you think?

Hi Alan,

I don't know, but we could play with several possibilities.  Smiley First though it seems you'd have to be on the same 'wave length' of a victim to suddenly switch over to his/her perceptions. Here are some ways you might get onto another's wavelength:

---Since you thought you were about to be murdered, maybe switching at the last moment to a true murder could easily happen. It might happen so late in the act that no sense of the person came through so you thought it was you yourself. (I bet it was confusing to the real victim who may have been driven to super-lucidity by his danger, to see another victim thrashing away also!  Shocked Wink )
---Perhaps in a former life your soul was not so developed and it thought of someone it hated that it wished they'd be killed, and that wish was just recently catching up with you as a late payback.
---Maybe someone in some lifetime wanted to kill you and your soul gave it the opportunity to do so in some realm that would seem real and satisfy its need. Unfortunately it had to seem real to you too  for the experience to work.
---Perhaps you arranged the scenario with your Oversoul because you wanted the experience.

All those 'supposes' have in common that they happened in another realm of focus level, thank goodness!

Love Bets

(Are you suggesting that my pain wasn't 'real?'  If so, it sure fooled me! )

Hey, my hurting (which started up again this morning as I wrote and re-membered ) just stopped!  Are you saying that if we concentrate on concern for another, our own pain subsides?

Hi Bets

I was not about to get murdered in this OBE but went through the whole murder feeling the knife burning in unspeakable pain before dying in this other body. I have experienced this twice during conscious OBE thus my now aversion to this way of OBE. I now only use Bruce Moens method of imagination and vivid lucid dreams. It was in a physical  body something like transmigration of the soul awful I know, but there it is.

Are your OBE'S of the Bruce typr or do you do it like Robert Monroe?

Hi Betsy,

I'm not sure to understand clearly what happen, but that spine/axis experience make me think about recent sucess.   I think we have the equivalent of a spine in each of our 'body'.  The energy raise through it (kundalini).  More you advance spiritually, more the energy go through higher bodies.

This rising from can cause a lot of side effect.  The "sew" effect could be what you feel about  the energy going through blocked area.  The "dislocated" area you saw could is this area.  It poped out because of the resistance.

In fact, sewing is very helpful to remove blockage ( Robert Bruce use it in the New Energy Way)

Greetings,

Thanks PhantasyMan --  I've been meaning to read Robert Bruce and take your comments as a reminder to do so. Smiley

Alan, my first response side-stepped the seriousness of your question. Now I  understand that the issue cannot be 'supposed' away. For it to affect you strongly, despite your familiarity with and mastery of so much of the non-physical, I suspect that you are reliving memories of a previous violent death. During that previous struggle if you were conscious of leaving your body, then any experience that reminds you of that could trigger the accompanying emotions.
Your spiritual life seems so active--do you ever have the time to give it assurances, for example deep breathing to replenish it?

Sometimes I start my explorations with imagination (to picture my special place on FL27), or with prayer or in meditation. Then they  all involve moving a point of energy, my focus of attention, to a place under my skull, and then the energy whisks out through the top center and 'I' go with the energy. It happens quickly now so I had to think about how it works. (But I am 'blind' OB except for energy fields and a few glimpses, so I have not achieved any 'mastery' of these explorations yet.)
Since we all store various memories that help form us, probably whatever method we sense is best  Is  best for us.

Bets

Hi bets I remember when i had really bad toothache and nothing would shift it,so i put my hand over my mouth and asked God if he would send healing through me and stop this toothache and a couple of minutes the pain completely stopped and i did not get anymore pain with this and when i went to the dentist a week later he said that he could not understand why i was not in serious pain as my nerve in this tooth was exposed,i could have told him why but i dont know whether he would have beleived me.

I  have asked God many times to give me healing when i have had pain and each time the pain has gone.

Love and God bless      love juditha

Thanks Juditha,

for that so very important reminder.

I know I do forget to ask God for help, especially if I'm panicky about something. I probably forgot in this case too. I appreciate your reminder.

Alan--Does Juditha's reminder apply to you too? I can tell you're more in touch than I,  but in moments of extreme feeling, do you think you should 'tough it out' ?
Or have you already asked God for relief from that violent death ? To make you repeat the experience must mean it has some very important purpose.

(One time I was out exploring and I zoomed very high to see if i could. My Guide said 'if you want to go any higher, you must die.' So I hovered and thought about it and then thought well, what's the good of exploring if I can't go any farther. I might as well chance it. so I said OK, I can die for this. And the Guide said, 'you must tell God that you are ready.'
--I had to use a full sentence addressing God regarding what I wanted. It wasn't OK to just say 'OK, let's do it. It had to be a more respectful appeal. )

Love, Bets

Bets,
I remember, when I had bad back pain, don't know where it was coming from, I noticed the more I fought it, the stronger it became. So I stopped fighting it, and then there was a critical situation: I felt like I could bet overwhelmed by the pain, taking me totally away, but it didn't happen, but ceased. I call this kind of approach: "To let it pass through you, and not touch you" .

Sounds very interesting and exciting your experiences (well, not talking about the oil one).

Greetings Dear Alan!

I remember once hearing that if you clear out your own 'sins', you will begin taking on the sins of others. Perhaps you have done that and now your guides give you another's traumatic sin to purposely create blockages in you. They are trying to slow the flow of Divine Energy because a human body cannot stand it on Earth.
----Did your own subtle bodies react to hearing that possibility?

Yes, Spooky,

I will try 'To let it pass through you, and not touch you." Just to hear that phrase has just made me release some resistence to ??--to just standard daily grumblies, I guess. And it is much better, I feel it! to not resist those negatives and let them go by.  Now to do that instead of panic!
Thank you!

Bets

Hi,

I just want to mention that I think the subtle bodies might have been involved in feeling pain because the rolling wave I mentionned was alot like the flopping about that used to begin my attempts to leave the physical body, only slower. The sensation went beyond / below the physical ---it's hard to describe.
I just wonderred how to permeate the physical and give some sort of solace to the ethereal etc. Two leads on that that didn't get posted both suggest that maybe 'fumes' are involved---

One dearheart  said oil of lavendar is excellent for burns and I'm thinking maybe it has fumes that can move further into subtle bodies. ?
A related lead on that came at it from the other side and suggested that cooking onions (fumes again, or aromas is a better term perhaps) seem to make pain worse. So again the possibility that gaseous particles can get further into our subtle body system.

I don't care about my fingers, they healed.
But have you any experience with aromatherapy that might be explained by these scents working at a subtle body layer?
Do you ever use aroma therapy after OB experiences because it restores you more quickly than most anything else?

Bets

Hi Bets,
no real practical hint here, but from youth on I've liked the scent of roses and honey, and sometimes in meditation these scents appear suddenly.
As well, I attempted an "Exploration 27" like the TMI one on my own, and to my surprise, I was shown a place where scents, smells and all the plants/materials for it were there. So, there is something about it.
My way would be, to listen not so much on general application prescripts, but to sniff&smell on your own, what is right for you. Perhaps you have a special memory which includes a scent and a feeling of healing/comfort/transcendence.

Betson:

You might've read this before, but I used to have lower back, upper back and neck pain. Mostly lower back. I got rid of the pain by clearing up energetic blocks. I cleared the energetic blocks by finding out what psychological issues were causing them.  Spirit guidance has also helped me with energetic work.

There have been several times where a spirit being did some adjustments on I guess my etheric body.  A couple of times I was in an astral state when these adjustments took place.  On each occasion only a couple of adjustments were needed and they felt mild compared to physical adjustments. One time I could see a white point of light moving around as adjustments were made. The spirit who made the adjustments spoke to me with an old English accent. I can't share everything he said, but one thing he said is that every time he sees me, he doesn't recognize me.

Hi guys...Bets I've never had pain in any of the bodies, and Alan, that seems a very difficult experience of dying. Perhaps you will remember something that is important about another life and not have to go thru that again. For it to happen twice has got to be a reason for that.

The most similar of the sensations on the astral body, just once I remember being obe and a friend and I were playing chase..chase alysia back to the body...when I landed into the body I heard and felt energy like the rumble of a train noise going up my spinal column and at first was fearful then something said relax and watch it move by. it was exactly like as if I was laying down next to RR tracks and the train was rumbling by, only it was on my back. but not hurting, just very very loud. then after that a burst of PUL, almost simultaneously and I feeling like I had been  involved in a game of play.

I've heard a few reports of others hear loud noises while obe. the only advice I might offer to Bets is to consciously relax when pain is felt. I learned this technique while in the birth process, if I resisted the pain, it got worse, if I relaxed some of the fear resistance went away and made the pain subsist considerably. maybe it would help during this separation process also, if you can remember you are safe. love, alysia
