Hmmm  Undecided Yes, there was quite a bit of energy on the board yesterday : 24 Topics running simutaniously. LOL.. Wow - sort of like a watching the NASDAQ Markets going up and down. Sort of as if we were provider of sales, trading, structuring and advisory services all at once..
I`m the meany and posted alot of independant thoughts yesterday. As one can see "that was yesterday". Wink I do want to humbly apologise for that to.

Hope you all keep the energy running like that, for theres nothing worse on a conversation board, as when no conversation takes place, then it becomes mere flat based reading and this can be done without coming to the board to converse.

Hugs and love to all of you,
Nanner

Hi Alan,

I've thought the ratio of poster to readers is interesting also.  To some extent it's always been that way. Since membership keeps growing, I think it's just a natural aspect of things, that some are happy to come to read only.

The current concern is slightly different though, that so many new posts come up daily, that there's only time to answer 'off the top of our heads.' A few fewer posts would be a blessing and allow more think time to respond.

Wink I guess there's quite a difference between the sort of surface, intellectual and reactive 'chatter' we get into when we move too fast versus the much deeper, more creative and intuitive insight that surfaces given time for the pot to boil.

It's symbolic of the spiritual path too - get too reactive or sucked into our heads and we don't get the insight that's needed if we are to open...

PS on the other hand we don't have to retreat into not posting for fear of causing a problem. Feel it =  post it I'd say...

Nanner,

I used to be a 5-star "Super Member."  But then I relocated from the east coast in New York to the west coast in Washington state.  So I had to re-register as "Berserk2" and humble myself with my newbie status.  I am now a lowly 3-star "Full Member."  Currently, you are a 4-star "Senior Member."  Soon you too will be a "Super Member."  That exalted status comes with perks.  You get to start as many threads as you want and to dispense with wimpy qualifying phrases like "in my opinion."  When you become a "Super Member," your views rule and can be stated authoritatively.  As for me, I must be necessarily modest in my posts for a while--until one day, I regain my "Super Member" status.

Well, I started posting on this board shortly after it was started, but now look at me.  Just a peon with 3 stars because I also had to re-register after the website crashed a couple years ago.

Is there anything I can do to regain my lost 2 stars? Or least get frequent flier miles as compensation?

Hey maybe there's a way I can "retrieve" them!  I think I'll review my notes from Bruce's workshop I attended......

Come on guys, if there is no response to a new topic the forum simply does not resonate with it and it dies a natural death on page two.

I'm sorry my friends.   There are too many threads, and so many posted in a given day that deeply developed threads don't seem to be happening.  A fair number of threads are off topic to the afterlife but not put in that "off topic" section.  Due to all of this, it has been difficult  for many  here to follow the board.

I am happy and moved by the new guard posting, and am supportive of you, but I think we need to have certain threads that develop over time in order to really get everyone into this, not just two or three people.

Just my two cent - take it or leave it.

Doc-

I'm responding mainly to get your post and this thread back on page 1.

Once again, can we ask that people try to either consolidate their many posts into just a few, or at least wait a few days before putting so many posts on the page?

Doc makes a good point, there are many posts that really belong Off Topic.

It's nice that there is enthusiasm, but at the same time it needs to be tempered by realizing that once someone's post goes off the front page, it's more or less history.  And that's a shame because many good posts have become lost over the past few weeks.

OH...what the heck, let's get drawn in to this for a few minutes.. Undecided

Feel like were're chassing "Stars" here and status.
Just saw a shooting star; let make a wish.. Grin

Let's see 2002 (8yrs)-295 posts, geezzz and still a beginner, and happy to be.
And already forgot if i'm a regular or part time/full/senior/advance etc. Doesn't matter really; it's what you say/said/think/feels that counts, and able to share freely without being critizized.

Somewhere on the first or  second page..someone make a comment on a: beginner place/forum type topic" it a great idea, maybe we should. with link to archives/Bruce lectures, experiences etc, which we do have on top of the main page and hopefully do a lot of reading/asking question in Beginner/Safe place/ forum. Specific to Beginners and don't worry about the label here..we are all beginners.

Or internet informations link index should be move to OFF TOPIC, so we can have/replace with a Beginner place/forum type.
But this is Bruce forum and his choice as always; how he wants it to operate.

Romain
