Destiny of soul by Micheal Newton PH.D

Hi, All, especially to Dave

Dave and the others,

I have just read a book destiny of souls by Michael Newton, PhD. very interesting, Dr, Newton seems to have a similar methodology to Dave’s, using spiritual hypnotherapy regression to explore the mysteries of the afterlife. Have any of you guys read his works as I feel they would be very informative and helpful adjunct, to Bruce’s comprehensive works. If this is already the case sorry.

Hi,

I think very highly of Newton's books. I discovered them before I discovered Bruce's, but they somehow didn't speak to my whole being.
Yet I feel that Newton is 'true.' --Maybe 'Newton' is an alias for Dave?!

I have read two of Michael Newton's books. They really made sense to me. I'm actually looking to get a life between life session.

Yes, I too was impressed by it, although somehow some things to seemed a bit too one-dimensional and uniform. Our Dave here told repeatedly that Newton's method has quite a frontloading/suggestive part, so that the uniformity of the reports not necessarily means a high certainty of it's contents. But the basic tone is true I guess, that those things count in life which come from and go to heart, PUL as Bruce says.

Dr. Michael Newton is an ideal example of what I call "adaptive spirituality."

I find that when I go to a place such as TMI (twice) or Bruce's seminars (four times), I generally have the spiritual experiences characteristic of those places and people. I suspect if I went to something Bhuddist or Muslim and embraced the experience fully, that I would have experiences in line with what they believe.

I had a session with Michael Newton a few years ago and sure enough, I experienced the kinds of things he writes about in his three books. I distinctly recall seeing my "council" seated around a table for one of my in-between-life reviews, but I snapped out of the hypnosis when they turned out to be all my siblings. Perhaps I was projecting.

Adaptive spirituality colors everything we experience, but that doesn't mean it's wrong or misled - it's just the context in which we experience. My understanding of spiritual reality is that it's so vast and varied that no single individual has a full understanding of it while still in the body.

Michael Newton is a very pleasant older gentleman with a twinkle in his eye and a lovely wife of decades. He was still living in northern California when I went for my consultation. He is retired now. His books are major contributions to my understanding, along with those of Bob Monroe, Bruce, Gordon Phinn and others.

hi all. Yes I've read a few of Newtons books. similar books with a common thread would be Soul Agreements by Dick Sutphen and another book titled Love is the Answer, (I've been turning my house upside down looking for it to get the authors name) this book was extraordinary account of two lovers who were looking for each other, and the author was a regressionist. somehow they each wind up in his office for periods of maybe a year.

each of them unaware the other is also being regressed by the doctor. they each tell accounts of people they met in other lives. their accounts were of exact detail of descriptions of transitional point. the doctor was needing to protect their confidences, yet he wanted to get these two lovers together! what a quandary! even names of similarity, were brought out during regression.
the one fellow could not find his match throughout life. He was looking for her. the doctor decided to arrange the schedule so that as she left, the man would be leaving and they would have to pass each other in the outer office.
he watched it take place that the man fixated upon her face and she upon his for longer than usual.
as it came down later, as luck? would have it, they were both to be on the same airplane flight due to some technicality. they fell in love needless to say on that flight. Smiley

I forgot the author's name, he is also a regressionist and has several books out there.

Hi Joe, good to see your happy face once more! I heard reports our family members counsel us in between lives, and we counsel them. although speaking personally, my siblings are not around my counsel table as they are not into the areas of study I have undertaken. they are more like the rodeo type while I stay home with tea and crumpets most the time. lol....my mother and grandmother though, I can see the 3 of us couseling each other very easily.
so I was thinking maybe on a soul level, you saw your siblings around your table, that you guys teach each other things, but they are equal to you, or maybe its just that we are very suggestive on the other side, seems we are always in movement to question here or there.

love, alysia
