before the year started i really wasnt that nervous about it , but as soon January started and the weeks started to close in , i've really been getting this feeling that my moving out of my parents house isnt going to work and something really bad might happen to me abroad Undecided

welcome Hassan. maybe you should think this through. if you stay home for instance, is it better to play it safe and be home with the same routine, or could it be that an adventure awaits you in another culture that you might miss out on?

sometimes you have to take a risk if the opportunity is there. and then if you do go, and you get there, will your parents let you come home should u change your mind?
so my suggestion is not a reading. its just to make Plan A, but also make Plan B, in case Plan A fails.

hope this helps. love, alysia

Hi Hassan,

Maybe it would be good to have a friend to take with you. It is always good to have a friend, or to make one.

love, blink Smiley

Hi Hassan,

Your intuition is warning you to alter your plan. I don’t mean stop going to Europe, but taking another rout. Like you are standing at a crossroad and had planned to go to the left path to reach your destination. The other unplanned road also leads to your destination, but you had not planned to take it. Destiny (your intuition) now tells you to change plan and take the right road. It is important to listen to your intuition as you could avoid trouble, even catastrophe by listening to it. There is also a positive side to this, by changing your initial plan you could open up unexpected positive opportunities in your life’s path. Only a small alteration in your plan will avoid possible misfortune or lead to fortune.

I hope this helps somewhat

Hi Hassan,
I think I had very similar feelings on several occasions, and I found a pattern in it: It had not so much to do with what in particular I planned to do, but that it was something different than I normally did, something new, not familiar. To leave the familiar home for certain is something new, and it is normal to feel more and more uncomfortable about it, because it is like you loose the ground on which you're standing, it seems as there's nothing for you to hold on so you might, exactly, feel lost.
Maybe when you realize that this is the normal reaction when facing a new situation, you might calm down a bit. I often ask myself in such situations "Now, what can happen?" I come up with some bad things which can happen, but first they're not very probable to really happen, and secondly, surprisingly, I find myself thinking "Yes, could happen, so what?" In fact, I realize then that I NEVER would get lost, no matter what would happen!
Sometimes, when something new is about to happen, the old dies, this can hurt and cause some sort of grief and disorientation, but after a while normally the new situation is established and has become familiar so that one can again feel settled.
Of course you can ponder whether it's the right decision to leave home or not, but the underlying pattern, the necessity that you can't avoid new situations from time to time, will remain. The more one tries to avoid something new, the lower the level will fall from which on anxious feelings will arise. As so many things in life, the right balance is the trick. Not too many/too big steps at once, and not too few new things in your life.

Spooky

P.S. What Alan wrote is true as well, but it's not easy to discern between a warning from intuition and the kind of anxiousness I sketched above.

Greetings Hassan,

Just tonight there was a fellow on TV who had travelled in countries whose major religion is at war with some people of his religion. But this young man said in all his travels he felt safe, and that young people around his travels did not share the negative bias (of hate and anger) that he heard about before.

Perhaps what you fear is not from your experience, but is just stuff you heard about from someone else.  I know when I hear negative comments and take them to heart, those comments can turn my heart in wrong ways. Finally I began to realize that I could not honor all the negativity I heard by believing it. Then I became free of many fears.

May you have an enjoyable sojourn, Hassan!

cute story about my daughter who left home for a year right after high school graduation, she went to Italy to stay with a host family.

shortly before we went to the airport she had this attitude that our little family of 3 were unintelligent, poor white trash. she said she couldn't figure out how it was her fate to be born into this family. lol. her twin sister was going through a hippy stage; black leather jacket studded, tight skirt, hair half shaved off..I used to pray a lot  Undecided

After living with her host family, of which she had to change host families, as the mother was going thru a divorce and crying a lot, she found a much more stable family through the agency and started missing her family and writing us every day. by the time she got home she had turned into a loving daughter who was proud of her family, as she compared the cultures, and I thought it was a very spiritual experience for her.
she got back home and said, mom, are we middle class? I just said, oh, well, we get along just fine don't we? we aren't white collar but we aint trash either!  Smiley

so I do recommend travel if you get the chance.

Greetings again, Hassan,

I just checked Google and it said there were over 38,000 Pakistani college students in the US.

Also, when you get here, check out the comedy hit on TV "Aliens in America'.   It's about a Wisonsin teenage boy who hosts a Pakistani fellow during their junior year in high school. The Pakistani boy is shown as very wise and the US boy usually appears very foolish.  Cheesy Most people are getting used to the idea that we all live on the same planet and need to share.

I cannot guarantee that every single person you meet will be your friend, but you will not be alone.  Smiley
