From my experience, it's a matter of having a well-prepared and organized team, and about not making unnecessary noise on early development stages. Would you like to have all these more or less "aroused" people wandering around you and making a myth about you? I doubt. Open-sourcing is also a process with steps and stages, process which takes time. I'm giving the choice to Bruce because of two reasons. He is engineer-thinking, and - he can make better strategy than I - if this topic is worth of further exploration according to his knowledge.
