Grandfather's voice in recording
Apr 16th, 2008 at 2:21am

Hey guys, I havent posted anything in a reaaaally long time. I came across something so interesting tonight while i was suppose to be studying for an exam...oh well, this was amazing.

I was talking to a friend a few weeks ago and she told me a story of a friend who died from bone cancer, the girl's mother did a psychic reading over the phone and tape recorded it. When she was replaying it back she distincly heard her daughters voice, and i was so amazing i decided to spend the better of my time going through about 5 videos i had on my computer from the past few weeks.

My grandfather died last summer, and i can say ive had a good few signs he's been hanging around. I gave up hope on my other videos hearing nothing, and remembered a little later on that i had one more video of my grandmother reading out the birthday card i gave to her 3 weeks ago during a little party we had, within the first 5 seconds of the video i distincly heard his voice. im in amazement and shock and cant stop playing it over and over. i never dreamed i would hear his voice again. if i can find some way of cutting down the clip or just doing the voice recording of it...ill try to post it along with a video of him speaking before. i dont know how likely that is though. i just wanted to share with you guys something completely amazing, i still can't get over it. i can't really understand what he is saying... it sounds like "you eh vuout de vuar". i tried googling it, it brought up some song called missing you...could be a very big coincidence, seeing as the musicians name sounded nothing like what he said. but it makes me so happy that i'll just go with it.

anyway ive got to get back to studying! take care.

It sure would be amazing to hear a voice recorded after someone's death.  So there's no doubt to you it was your grandfather's voice?  Was he French??  Is there a way you could post the video on a place like You Tube and then post a link here to it?

I can try to post something within the next few days when i've got time to dabble with it.

I'm 99.9% sure thats his voice, i played it for my family..at first they couldn't hear anything, but when i amplified it and switched to better speakers they were beyond words. it's very hard to forget someone's voice who was so close to you and always in your life.

haha..and it turned out he was speaking english, everyone just has their different interpretations on what he is actually saying. it's also kind of hard because theres some interferance in the background

anyway, il post the youtube link when it's done.

A few years ago when I was just beginning to learn about all this stuff, I bought a book about using electronic media to record voices from the afterlife. I simply set up an old ordinary tape recorder with a microphone attached and put a new tape in it. I left it on overnight pressed to record.
Next day I had to listen and listen and listen, I was sure I could just barely hear a voice part way along on the tape. Eventually, I distinctly heard the words "Hello Sonja" in a woman's voice and (since that was my birth name, Sonja) I knew it was my mom. But I could barely hear it. So frustrating. There are things you can do to improve the volume, and I went and bought that expensive software that singers use to record with, but I could never figure out how to use it. I tried the tape recorder again a couple times but didn't get anything. I have also set up an email address in hotmail for my mom, in her name, hoping someday I might get an email from her...Definitely dreaming, ain't I. Vee

Hi all,

since no one's used this term yet--
              EVP   (electronic voice phenomena)
I'll throw it in just for fun.  Alot of the websites on EVP are abit heavy on the physics and electronics, but you might find some ideas on them if you search through them.

"Direct" contact is certainly involved though, to get the soul on the other side to be responsive. Maybe asking them first for when a good time (earth-style) would be for them would be helpful. ?

Better late than never...oops. I kind of forgot about this, sorry! If any of you are still interested in hearing, I uploaded a video I made real quick with the audio of my grandfather's voice. This is the audio from the full clip taken, my mom thought his voice sounded like it was coming from "another place" so I'll let you be the judge if you hear anything different.

I don't know if voices usually sound different in evps, but I clearly hear my grandpa's voice. My family is also speaking in the background in an adjoining room, and I'm positive it's not one of their voices...I have a good ear for that.

It only lasts a few seconds, I think starting around 5 seconds in the clip. I still can't understand what he's saying, but I've stopped trying to figure it out awhile ago.

Last to mention, this was during a dinner for my grandma's birthday (many months after my grandpa died), she was reading a part of my card out loud and my brother decided to catch it on my camera. A few months before this happened I had a dream that my grandpa came to me through the same camera.

Sorry again for waiting entirely too long for that!

First, let me say that you are a horrible procrastinator...or wait, maybe you are a very good procrastinator!  Glad you finally got the link up.
Smiley

So can you tell us, from watching the video, what the loud noise is that interrupts where your grandfather is supposedly speaking?  It sounds to me like someone scooted a chair across the floor or closed a drawer.

I can hear what sounds like a voice speaking over your grandmother's voice, but I can't tell what is being said.  It does sound superimposed over the noise in that room, and does not sound like it's part of the background noise in the adjoining room.  You don't hear it again.

That's very interesting.  Wish I could make out what he's saying.

lol, I am a great procrastinator! Let alone one with a horrible memory sometimes.

That loud noise was my dad dropping the trashcan lid on our kitchen floor. Great timing for that to happen, right?

I wish I could understand what he was saying too, but it's great enough just being able to hear his voice. My friend thought she heard "be who you are" or something close. My mom also heard "who you are" too. But I guess when it's hard to make out, everyone has their own interpretation. Even my skeptic brothers said they hear it's his voice...but they think I influenced their thought on it.

Im usually quite sceptical about EVP as you often make yourself hear things during white noise by "filling in the gaps" - I had to do quite a lot of research into this as I read out the reverse EVP and was quite freaked out for a while!!

But with this one, I definately heard "You are" at least - and then your grandma struggles with the next bit - "Your are..."...  that to me says your Grandpa was talking directly to her which would explain her confusion with the next bit if she had picked up subconciously what he was trying to say.  And added to your dream, it sounds very convincing.

Beautiful, thank you for sharing!
