ACIM

Smiley Gosh, I was just on my way to go shopping to sustain my extreme vanity, however, thanks Recoverer for mentioning ACIM, my favorite of all pathways.

It is important to bring attention to this great work so that other's become aware it is there to be studied although our society as a whole will not grasp everything that is in it, you may notice that it is human nature to resist the truth, and most of the conflicts we enter into are illusions, even as our death's are illusions, for we continue on with the same bias and focus into another dimension that we hold so dearly at the present moments.

All the more reason to look closely at material which one finds to arouse conflict. If you are having conflict with anybody or any material, it is important to examine why, because conflict will indicate a misperception, and an underlying sense of irritation.

I assume all of us want to get to a place of peace of mind. that is what you are really after when you study anything.
there is so little demonstrable peace of mind in this world. Sometimes I would see some shining example here and it would brighten my whole day.

I have written much about ACIM and in the years ahead I will probably be writing much more about it, how I found it, how spirit made me read it, how I was at once loved by spirit beyond my wildest dreams and forgiven was also in the PUL.

I cried and cried and cried. I waited then for god to take the final step as it was promised. the final step was a mystery. Now I think I understand the final step. It is to be patient and have faith, knowing that all things are working out for each of us as we deal with our conflicts, and also keeping in mind to respect others, and be gentle with each other, for what goes around does come back to it's owner.

So, like I said before, hang unto your seatbelts! we are sliding willingly or unwillingly into the most upheaval times in history into the 4rth and then the 5th state of balanced perspective, then we WILL see a greater harmony upon this Earth and more live and let live principle.

thanks for the read

Glad it helped you Alysia. I am sure I will get around to reading it at some point. It didn;t suit Recoverer, but it was just what you needed. I guess that's OK. I suppose the same texts and approaches don't necessarily have the same effect on everyone

It's ok that another does not agree with me because all paths will end up the same place, at the starting point.
its just a book about love and about loving others the same as yourself, which love would include respecting their pathway, or their beliefs, which includes the material they read which did help them.
I was told not to defend the material, as it stands alone and does not need defense. there are better qualified people who can stand guard over it if they want. I don't see that anything is threatened here actually. I like the attention it's getting, whether unfavorable or favorable as it makes others curious, to see for themselves. as well, there's so much material out there of a spiritual nature, channelled and unchannelled, we should none of us lack for reading material.

I don't see I necessarily want to promote it here, that I would have to, but it would be good if more people go to TMI, or learn of hemi sync, phasing, and retrievals, that is where ACIM comes in for me, as retrievals and PUL go together well, its just the underlying premise of holding someone's hand.

why would anyone have to defend reaching out for others? I think what some of us would be able to understand about ACIM and PUL, is that our egos do get in the way. Ego is full of fear based illusions.
that is the illusions the Course refers to, in that the ego is the illusion.
But you can find out what the ego is, what it's job is, in many books on the market.

just briefly, ego is the voice which says you are superior to another.
then, it is also the voice which says you are inferior to another.

this is an illusion, for you are neither superior, nor inferior in the eyes of your creator, you are all equally wondrous beings, greatly loved.

but I am not here to preach or demand any following. you are all free to express yourselves the best you know how, but please keep the love for each other and be gentle, as you are Oliver, a very kind and gentle traveler.

I'm glad I met most of you. Truly you have given me much pleasure to wile away the hours and let me talk.

love, alysia

Ack, I've removed my post.  I thought this post was the same one as another of a very similar title / subject.  My apologies to Alyssa and everyone else for getting upset - I thought a bunch of posts were removed - my mistake Sad.

Again, I'm sorry about that.

I haven't noticed if any posts have been removed, we haven't seen Bruce since he moved to Puerto Rico, he must have many adjustments to make when you move residence, so we're on our own!
Prat, I never read your posts, I can't read everything here due to time factors, so you're off the hook  Smiley but thanks for apologizing, it shows that you care.

I cannot remove posts on any threads but the book forum, so you see, thats why I put up the guidelines here, just to try to maintain a friendly atmosphere, but I cannot be heavy handed, nor would I want the job. not my style.

I would like everyone to feel free to express themselves fully, about their own personal experiences on any subject. I do not consider this a debate place, but that is what some think and I wouldn't be changing that either. just consider me the wallpaper for now..I'll peel off someday!  Smiley
