It's biographical. I have it, but haven't read it much. If you don't have a Robert Monroe book, I'd recommend you check out his third book "Ultimate Journey" first.

I already have the 3 books.  I have read them 2-3 times.  I'm  glad about this new book, I'll be able to know more about Bob.

By the way, my order was:  Far journey, Ultimate journey and finally Journey out of the body.

I read Robert's first book about 26 years ago shortly after my first out of body experience.  Years later, before I read anything by Bruce Moen, I read his third book Ultimate Journey. For me, it was really significant to read Ultimate Journey before reading his second book Far Journeys. Not long afterwards, I made my first contact with my I-there in a clear way.

Robert's first book is quite different than Ultimate Journey, and I believe Ultimate Journey can be understood without reading Far Journeys.
