The Mayan thing is truly interesting. I had been to Palenque and poked about, but was unaware of the operation of the Mayan calendar.

Theories about pole shift abound - mine is that the ocean currents create a moving conductor in an electrostatic field due to solar wind, hence a magnetic field sensitive to the positions of ice etc, and climate variations. This seems a bit simpler than moving continents and the planet's core around. The core, while potentially magnetic, is far hotter than the Curie temperature at which the magnetic effects vanish. Thus, it may conduct, but is an unlikely source of magnetic field. However, since most of us experience magnets made of cool, rigid iron, we tend to think of the Earths core that way. It isn't.

I read Cayce's predictions, and since he was generally right about things, I kinda hoped that I'd be here to watch everything turn over from global warming. But with the threat of the Apophis asteroid, maybe returning to hit us, in whole or part, it looks like the whole universe is tuning up for a major shake and bake.

I still like to think it is about a shift in consciousness, an evolutionary progression in our DNA. I'm reading a book by Daniel Pinchbek called '2012' which focuses on shamanism, the Mayan Calendar and human consciousness.

"There are many hints, both in quantum theory and elsewhere, that humanity is precariously balanced between greater self-potential and environmental disaster."

I think that our collective choices affect the path to where we are headed - enlightenment or disaster.

I purposely buy some books by just standing in from of the wacky section in bookshops and buying what my eye is drawn to  - before I can make any conscious sense of the title.

Somehow I've ended up with a series of books on 2012, including just this week Daniel Pinchbeck's 2012 as mentioned above. I've no personal sense that there's a disaster coming, but that wouldn't mean much. I like the open way he discusses his own research and experience without preaching.

I have a definite sense that there's some sort of opening taking place. Even Pinchbeck's own story describes perhaps both a personal path, and perhaps also his witnessing the beginnings of a broader opening.

His story resonates so much with my own (much more personal one) in many ways. I'm not a writer, have not experimented with interesting substances to any degree, but his path from yearning but no path to pretty much a certainty that reality is so much greater than is regarded as normal and that something is going down is so familiar. As is the list of writers he tends to draw on.

He quotes Robert Anton Wilson's 'the doors of Chapel Perilous swinging open'. (the 'oh sh1t feeling that hovers in the background when you start to realise that actually almost nothing is the way you were brought up and conditioned to think it is) That's pretty much the way it feels to me right now, whether it's the result of personal path or something more general.....

Instead, what they do here in Germany is not thinking about this, but build more streets. I guess when there's no green anymore to build streets, then they would build second store streets. Maybe this behaviour might change 2012, when they come to the insight that we must live somewhere when we're not sitting in a car.

I don't claim to have insight into this particular date, but it seems to me that it is almost a catalyst just because of the intrigue it is generating.

We are accelerating in a process of change, and I think these changes are going to include physical and mental breakthroughs for us as humans.

It really seems to me that we are being assisted in this from the other side.

A friend of mine whom I spontaneously called a few months ago, a very old friend from 20-25 years ago, has just started meditating with a group. I attended once with her a couple of months ago.

She now tells me that they are rapidly moving into collaborative work with a clairvoyant. This clairvoyant is moving souls with them---from her descriptions these sound like earthbound souls.

They are taking many of them directly from the battlefields in the Middle East. They are "retrieving" a lot of angry souls. They don't appear to use Bruce's language, although she called them "stuck" souls, and, from her description they are moving folks who are right in the room with them. I say this to distinguish their activities from the type of retrieval work that Bruce teaches. It just seems to be a variation, in my mind. At least, this is what I am hearing. Of course I am going to go see what is happening!

She said they are retrieving "groups" of souls together. This was when I just about flipped out. They are getting "groups" and not just individuals. This is accelerating!

Apparently, they are beginning to train others to do this. The leaders have been told that more is coming, that there will soon be many people doing this job, and that there are higher levels coming in soon for them.

I was shocked when she told me this. I had gone to one meditation session and it seemed like a very focused group, with different people learning different levels of breathing and visualization. The basic practice was a good one, and powerful.

It was at a well-to-do ex-banker's home, and his own artwork was everywhere. He had been called to start a meditation group....by Jesus.

That's how the story goes. Why should I question it?

Well, that's all I know. I just know that signs will be all around you, and will you notice them? Obviously, you will. You will be drawn into it, and you won't be able to stop this train from coming!

In Nothing Really Matters she says "nothing takes the past away like the future" and it makes me wonder? Is this how we will all collectively change our karma...
