Visits from the otherside

Hello. Although I've always been very spiritually aware, I'm kind of new to the exploration of the afterlife. It's strange how the death of a loved one can somehow ignite an interest or curiosity in it. I have a quetion resulting from my own spiritual experiences: My father passed away a few years ago. Shortly after his funeral, I witnessed a bright, very brilliant white light in my room and I knew instinctively that it was him. In April this year, I lost my beautiful young 26 yr old brother. Like my father, he too came to visit me very shortly after he passed away. Unlike my father's light, my brother's light is much bigger and has colour. Does anyone know what the different colours of spiritual light denote?

It is great that you were able to see your deceased loved ones as you did.

I'm not certain how to define each color, but certainly white light is a really good thing.

How big was your father's light? Was it a point of light? If so, you might've been seeing it through your crown chakra (at the top of your head).

Since your brother's light was bigger, it is possible that you saw it through your third eye, which might explain why you saw a mixture of colors. What colors did you see?

Many other people have seen the spirits of loved ones shortly after they passed away. The fact of how they are able to be around so soon, possibly shows how the realm of no time (the spirit World) interacts the realm of time (the physical World). I say this, because so soon after passing away, your father was able to reflect white light. I have read of other cases where spirits appear in such a pure form shortly after their death.

Wings,

I would not read too much significance into differences in shades of color, but I would alert myself to the possibility that your loved ones might yet appear to you in a brighter version of their healthier earthly form. I was recently visited in my new church office by a woman, whom I sensed had experienced some otherworldly encounters. So I brought up the subject to encourage her to share her experiences.

She was mourning the recent loss of her sister. Then one night she was awakened from a deep sleep by the feel of a hand gently carressing her cheek. She is absolutely certain that she was wide awake. She saw her sister's smiling apparition beside her bed. Her sister was radiating love and a calm assurance that she was continuing her marvelous journey in heavenly realms.

Recoverer: My father's light was a brilliant white point of light which radiated out and filled the room entirely. My brother's light was pure white in the centre (not from a point) and radiated out into rainbow colours. I don't know how I was able to see this - I am not that familiar with chakras and the third eye. All I can tell you is that I was not afraid and had a deep, calm sense of knowing that they where 'alive' and very happy.

You're welcome. Seems like the key thing is that you had a positive experience. Even though certain colors can represent specific things, I believe it is important to not be too rigid about what they mean. Certainly a place like heaven can use any color it wants to use, without having to worry about things such as vibrational rate guidelines.
