Just a hello
Jul 3rd, 2007 at 12:11am

Wanted to pop in and say hello!  Its been a while, but y'all are often on my mind.  Many times, one or more of you will pop into my head at random moments.

Just haven't had as much time to post.  Hope every one is well..

Hi Shirley, I've been wondering how you are doing with all the flooding in your area these days. I have been in a safe place where I live, but north, south, east, west, the flooding is amazing this summer.

I have been on medical leave for about four weeks. Various issues. It's been great in some respects because after 17 years of nonstop working I am able to let my mind catch up a little. It is almost impossible for me to function at the rapid pace that most of the world has adopted.

This may be a mental/physical condition coming on over time, because my mind has been at war with itself for a while. We, as human beings, need to return to a more natural way of life. Our modern, high paced society, along with our addiction to fast paced media, is starving our lives of balance and honesty with each other.

I find within my old working environment a fast paced avenue full of people who speak loudly and strenuously...why? Do they feel they must be as flashy as their environments....the "unreal" environments on which they pattern their lives?

This is not a criticism, but a plaintive note sounded to a world which has lost its mind.

There is a running joke when something goes wrong over and over:  the person asks, "Is it just me?"

"No, my dear, it's not just you, but if you don't get out of this oven soon you are going to turn pretty toasty all over...."

We choose our own hells, don't we? Well, this summer of '07 I am looking around me and have decided NOT to participate in madness...not my own, not that of others.

I look forward to the meditation dates of 7/7 and 7/17. There are bright stars everywhere to follow if we are looking for them.

What's up, Shirley?

love, blink Smiley

Hi Shirley,

Good to say hello !
Aren't you off work for the summer? I've hoped we'd now get
to hear from you more.

Right Blink, people really go blablabla all the time; it's as if everyone is trying to come over like "businessman"- always active, in charge, important.
