I side with Spooky, that there might be some valid stuff here, but it needs more verification. I'd suggest taking two photos at a time, like with those binocular cameras that make 3-D transparencies. The perspective would either give depth to the orb through parallax measurements, or would indicate that the phenomenon is not visible to other lenses. This would be even better with cameras located far apart, one directly toward the subject, and another around to the side taking the same scene.

A second way to verify whatever these things are would be to use multiple sequential exposures, so that you take a few seconds of video. Then what the orbs are doing becomes dynamic, and we might understand them in terms of how they behave.

However, unless we believe in coincidences, the manner of their appearance seems to indicate that orbs tend to occur in a manner that has somewhat to do with the photographer and the subject. Unfortunately, I can't sort that out from my normal tendency to see faces in virtually everything, often looking back at me and changing as I see them.

I appreciate being able to look at these photos. I don't honestly know exactly how to interpret what I see. However, I do notice that some people have bigger orbs than others. Significant?

I did all your suggestions so thats why I believe, and they are good suggestions Dave. all my orbs were just in the living room, same camera in the kitchen, etc, nothing appeared in the other rooms, same time of day and it should have appeared if it was the camera lens fault, same light, and the orb over my mothers head disappeared when my mother moved out. No more large orb then, just small ones..she took the orb with her! lol. as I said it was my grandmother. but I don't expect anyone to take my word for it.
I believe its necessary to experiment and ask questions. but this is the times we are living in to unravel mysteries.

A friend of mine has some wonderful photo's of ORB's, they where taken in the pyramids.

The ORB's are clear and bright, theres know miss-taking them for dust particals. The photos he has are amazing, all the orbs have geometric shape to them, just fantastic to see. Makes you want to go see them for yourself.

Hi Can you get your friend to share the photos with us??

I'm convinced that there's more to this than systematic errors or photography.

Alysia's note about the orb size and such changing when Mom left is interesting. That kind of thing can be experimentally tested. Here's how to do it.

Pick a scene, photograph it under initial conditions. Count the orbs. Note their sizes.
Repeat for some period of time. Ideally, use more than 30 observation, so as to force the distribution to be "normal" (within 1%).
Average it all, to get a "baseline" value. Save all the various data.
Change conditions, and do the same routine to get the "experimental" value. Again, 30 or more trials are best.
Then either ask someone or go to Wikipedia and get the recipe for a Z-test, which will give you the likelihood of getting those specific data by chance alone. If you are more comfortable with numbers, an ANOVA could be used, including both orb sizes and number observed.
If the probability of obtaining these data is less than 5%, then psychology claims that you have a "proof" that the effect is "real".

If anyone has a collection of data of this sort and needs help crunching the numbers, I'm willing to help. PM me and we'll discuss it.

Oh yes - I know of a number of possible places that would be happy to publish experimental data of that sort.

I admit I'm no scientist but Daves suggestions are good and there are people already busy at this very thing, I have no doubt about that being a born optimist.

my personal contributions I just realized are connected to other events, whereby when mother lived with me and reported nanny was talking to her about things she could have done better, etc..in her life, and also nanny would say "I'm proud of you!" to mother, etc.

I began to have a relationship with nanny in my mind and decided to have a conversation with nanny the instructions given by Bruce here how to do it by playing along.

the conversation was successful producing personal verification to my surprise. then nanny showed up after that in dreams, to encourage me and to also say she was proud of me too. this really helped me alot, to know she loved me too.
love is always the answer to spiritual growth.

so my point about the orb, was this other connecting above described event.

I understand wholeheartedly the need to conduct one's experiments, especially the photographers, but even the amateurs like me, we always need to experiment as human nature, but with an open mind preferably.

Hi Alyssia-

Understanding often begins with something as simple as an apple that falls from a tree, and the question, "Why?"

There's nothing but a few centuries and a sex change to separate you from Isaac Newton.

(Since regression indicates that we change sex about as fast as we change clothes, that part is trivial.)  Smiley

Dave, u just helped me understand what I suspected. I accepted someone's report we rarely change sex identity within different lives. it seemed logical perhaps it was true.

I know you do regressions. therefore I am knowing of your studies in this area, and I am also knowing of your fine character from feelings. I admit, I am empathic but I didn't even want to admit that much.
however, I just got this strong feeling that what you said rings true, so I am slowly progressing to genuine knowledge and learning to let go of my fears surrounding releasing old ideas to trusting my self.
bless this board we are still riding the crest of the wave..love, alysia

Regarding Dave's suggestions on how to set up situations to photograph,
could I add one more possibility--

dust in the air may be involved, I hear from one of our successful orb-catchers.  Although we think of the dust we can see, (  Cheesy  at my house they're as big as bunnies), there could be some micro-sized dust that help show or establish a 'skin' for these non-physical orbs.
So shake it out, folks, before you shoot it!

Is anyone going to try this ? My cameras have never caught an orb, and alysia is busy packing and moving.  Anyone else?

Bets

Hi dave I have taken photos of the same part of the wall on 2conscetive days and one photo had no orb and the next day photo of the same wall had an orb on,i think your experiment sounds a good way to do it.

Hi Juditha-
So the orbs come and go.  -  Possibly they come and go within a minute or less. That would make me question their validity - or suspect them of being "insincere" in their orbing.

I wonder if the presence of the orbs, when they return, will tend to be clustered around the same locations? That would make me feel that they represent something in the room - and "orb magnet" or the psychic equivalent.

Obviously there's something there - the question is more to the point of what and how does it get there?

While attending Guidelines at Roberts Mountain  Retreat this past May, one of my fellow attendees took some fantastic orb pics of the house. They were taken just seconds between them and clearly show a multitude of orbs. Their were a number of witnessess at the time of the pictures, no rain nor dust. The first showing no orbs and then the second, after asking with intention to see them in the pic, lots. If I was told how to attach them I will show you them. Credit of pics goes to Wouter Velthuis.

Hi Hawkeye  The only way i know to put photos on the afterlife is if you have them stored on somewhere on the computer like photobucket account which is where you can store your photos for free.

www.photobucket.com

Kate sent me this on how to put them on afterlife if there stored in  photobucket.

Step 1  From the Home page, click on My Album.  You should see a box at the center top of the page with three small boxes in it that say Browse.  You'll notice several tabs above the Browse boxes so make sure you're on the tab that says "Images from my PC".  It should be set on that anyway but take a look to be sure.

Step 2  Click on the first Browse button and a box will appear and you'll search for the picture you want to upload.  You have saved all your pictures somewhere all together I would imagine, so this is how you'll locate it.  As you can see, you can upload several pictures since there are 3 Browse buttons.  When you find the picture you want to upload, double click on it OR click Open.  Either one will work and you'll see the name of your picture in the Browse box. Click Upload.

Step 3  You should then see the picture you uploaded.  Now, click one time on the box that says Img Code right below the picture.   When the link is highlighted in blue you'll then left click on your mouse and choose Copy. What you are doing is copying the photo link because you're going to paste it into your post.

Step 4  If you don't already, have open the Afterlife-Knowledge site up in another brower.  You are then going to click on your post and then left click and choose Paste.  The link should appear there and if so, you have done it correctly.

After you've finished writing your post click the Preview button just below here and take a look at how your picture looks.

I hope I've given you good directions on how to do it.  I went step by step in Photobucket as I was typing this and I'm pretty sure I didn't leave anything out.  Photobucket will save a lot of pictures for you and it's really a lot of fun to know how to post pictures.

Love and God bless    Love Juditha

Greetings,

Dave said:  'So the orbs come and go.  -  Possibly they come
and go within a minute or less. That would make me question
their validity -'

I don't follow you there, Dave. Lots of places I would, on trust alone, but not here.
If they are alive, they're not stuck in one place. Why would you expect them to be immovable?
