We can get quite a list when we staart to think about it!
Alysia, your OB dancing and magic carpet riding are special forms and is not hinted at on my list---going out for the joy of it ! (Several of us remembered whooshing about during a Partnered Exploration with Alysia 'driving' the magic carpet.) Joy is a fine motivator for connecting to spiritual realms!
Spooky said: "It was like a daydream- a bit different,
because this kind of stories I have had never happened
in my daydreams before."
My list format doesn't give this daydream/imagining enough credit. It is the basic step in Bruce's books too and what frees one to trust if other methods present themselves. Hooray for 'daydreams' !
I'd like to add a couple also:
Prayer is a part of the words category but should have its own listline, it is so powerful. Focussed prayer can lead to being lifted up and receiving healing or grace, and even without such immediate feedback is certainly connecting us
with spiritual realms.
Meditation when we quiet our own systems to share the Oneness of All is certainly anoher way of connecting.
There must be others......
we can speak of techniques and methods to connect to these areas and no doubt about it experimenting with other's suggestions definetely gave me most of my glimpses and connecting points yet studying all these explorers in books and here I noticed how individually tailored is our journeys. the oneness concept awareness helped me to study others. a nonjudgment area.
might link that to openness during meditation. Prayer might be supplecation or it might be invocation, so it can be powerful.
as far as the most growth for me personally occurred along with a desire to communicate that growth, and writing it down produced more insight, that everyone is dealing with what's wrong with life on Earth.
that its a dual world thing. either/or. yay or nay. after writing my story down, which was just scratching the surface, yet I saw everything I thought was going wrong as this little kid was actually a plan unfolding.
it turned out that, theres this poem about footsteps in the sand. you look back and there was god all the time, close by, you just didn't notice.
so we get caught up in our experiences and judge them to be something going wrong when if we just wait a bit, we can look back and see it was going right all the time.
and the journey continues and we can make it hard or easy on ourselves, but in truth the journey is already done and we're in a movie putting on a performance the way I see it, as death is not what we think it is here, its stepping into a familiar place we've been before.
Imagination or daydreams or night dreams are a good area to study. The thought that helped me a whole bunch was from Bruce's books
1) Play along
2) See it not there
the play along idea I first tried out when talking with my deceased grandmother. it was like a daydream, so glad Spooky mentioned this. being as it seemed unreal that way, I was having trouble at first. that's ok, I remembered he said to "play along" like it was real, so we call this pretending also. I relaxed and played along, lo and behold, I started to enjoy pretending. thats when it started to get real. nanny had a few others with her, I thought I felt laughter rather than heard it whenever nanny said something which i couldn't accept as real. but I'd just tell myself, well, this is crazy, but I'm going to play along some more, see what happens. had to "play along" about 4 or 5 times to keep the connection going. it's like you are going to have doubts no matter what you do in life, but if you gently nudge the doubts over you can connect. some see themselves putting the doubts in a suitcase, picking them up on the way out of the exploration. you can do that too.
Nanny, bless her heart, she gave me the evidential I needed to confer with my mother it had been a genuine contact. a black brooch was mentioned. aha, another place I needed to stop and tell myself to play along as wanted to cut it short right there. I'm not into jewelry is the reason. I find out later, dear nanny was!
she wanted to give me this brooch even though we barely had a relationship at all during the time she was alive. I was quite touched by this gesture and mother confirmed she had withheld the brooch from me. in essence the dead can nail you! haha! Mother was nailed but for a reason; nanny had become mothers spiritual guide and teacher on the other side. this is why I tell folks, family members can become helpful to us once they transition.
Seeing it not there
this is easy, we all have tunnel vision thru life anyway until we expand awareness to other's viewpoints. In this reference however, Bruce was talking about sticky stuff, an illness, some thought system which keeps us stuck in anxiety or illness, which eventually manifests on the physical body as a portent of that thought system holding us trapped.
Seeing it not there, you can turn that thought around to "I focus on what I want to see."
then you see the solution, not the problem.
it can be a catch 22. because u can manifest a denial thought too. the way you can do this is to ignore that you have a manifestation of an illness on your body.
that would not be the right use of this concept. You never ignore your body, but you are here to experience your body and pay attention to what it tells you if it has a pain. u do what u think best to be healing it, and oftentimes to pray brings you to the right doctor that you need to see or the right cure.
the way to benefit from "seeing it not there" is before you get sick on the body. The inception of disease is in the unconscious belief systems..straighten out your thoughts and emotions, get back to love, you need never suffer illness after that. so if someone comes along and says that you are "less than" you are this or that, we take this pain into ourselves of judgment by them and we can manifest being not at ease or disease if this keeps up over time. so in our explorations we can view what we believe about ourselves and about humanity, and we can help each other by seeing not disease on another, but a vision of their perfection and perfect wholeness in the sight of god.
dead preacher is on a tangent again. I keep telling him its my life now. but I guess he set up housekeeping here. love you all! alysia
