I have astral projected while being aware it was happening. I have looked at my astral hands during out of body experiences. In addition, I own psychic medium books on the subject, mediums who say astral bodies talk to them.

Hard not to believe in the afterlife now.

You've already taken the best advice I could give: getting Bruce's books and tapes. 

Before Bruce's information put everything 'in order', I had no way of knowing whether all my bits of experiences were random 'brain-games' or valid.  Now I am very grateful to see how they fit in with his and others' here, and how it all fits into greater spiritual realities.

Hawkeye--- I'm sending out the pictures of Guideline plus a CD copy of the book I wrote. That should help you confirm some of the Afterlife experiences.  I new as a child, also, that there was more than "death" and absolute blackness.  Also, when I did a retrieval, I asked to help anyone.  I saw an acquaintance and she ran to her Jesus and they hugged. She gave me a thumbs up.  Within 3 hours of that vision, my mother called me to say that Donna had passed away about 3 hours ago. hi Kate I just want to remind you that you are an important forum member just the way you are, as a lot of us don't do retrievals, we go at our own pace as you pointed out and very often we don't think about the afterlife because we're too young to think about it..doing the 9 to 5 takes up all our thoughts, not to speak of the kids need feeding.
just the fact that your willing to share with the public you have contact with your dad, this is a love story for all of us to see, thats what makes people believe.

I'm right there with you. I'm also new to the whole thing. I have recieved some things in dreams but the dreams always seemed to play like a cross between life and a movie sequence. I was there doing everything, talking and what not but I was not in control of any of it. It all just seems to happen in dreams. Out of everything I have seen in regards to the afterlife, the things I read on Bruce's site seemed to be the most logical. As far as advice goes, I'm new to this myself but you can learn a lot from the free articles on Bruce's site. The articles tell many an interesting story and its a great way to tide you over while you wait for the books to arrive.

Hi Bird, we all have our own pace. a friend of mine stays lodged in the higher dimensions most of the time he says. when he grounds himself, he says beer does it, or maybe he just uses beer like a trigger to get grounded into C1. he also doesn't drive much, lets his wife do it as you absolutely must be grounded for driving, needing all your senses.

for me I do gardening, housecleaning, cooking, whatever tasks at hand and that is grounding for me. what used to unground me the most was seeing a precognition dream come true because it can make u feel like you're not in control when and if those things start up for you, but then you can get grounded again when you figure out how you participated in your future event by the thoughts, feelings and belief systems you carried around. then there is past life, or simultaneous other selves who are also yourself, these must be brief glimpses and not thought about constantly or it would definetely cause a crash of the identity sort.
its good to think on being balanced in all things, mental emotional spiritually, logically, all of our many facets should all have equal time.

spiritually, gratitude is a fuel which grounds efficiently as life on Earth can be enjoyable and is meant to be so. Instinctually and intuitively, you probably know when to back off and when to explore new ideas without getting too much off the deep end.

With respect to Alysia's remarks about needing one's total concentration, and the question about intrusion of the spiritual world, not very long ago I got stopped and did a stint in Traffic School as the direct result of lapsing into meditation while zooming down the freeways where they clocked me at 80-90 + mph.  Alysia is right - it is a very poor idea. I was lucky to have a friendly policeman there to help me out in my moment of need - if anyone every needed a traffic ticket.

However, I have noticed that so long as I am willing to allow input from extraneous sources, the entire universe seems willing to talk to me, send me bizarre messages, and a few that make good sense as well. The only trick seems to be to turn off my ego and all the inner babble and be receptive. Just because something is strange today doesn't mean that it doesn't attach to something that makes good sense - my junk sorts itself out, usually,  and most often in a way that reflects my participation in the universal activity we usually associate with the Oneness.

we always get the question, the fear of losing our self upon death. Gordon writes a good book describing some retrievals you might want to pick up for additional glimpses into our other home. the book is called Eternity, and how to enjoy it.  in this book he says many of those he retrieved he watched them come to their own funeral and stare at the corpse trying to figure it all out. just seemed funny to me, as it shows how hard it is for us even in this enlightened century so called, to let loose of the flesh, we get so ATTACHED that the flesh is who we are.

its just a vehicle for experience. don't sweat the small stuff. but do take care of the body while you're getting experience.
the other lives get assimiliated into your knowledge banks, it tends to blend in. our minds are expansive things.
