How many of you...
Jun 10th, 2007 at 1:02pm

I'm new to the board and I just ordered Bruce's Afterlife Guide and CD's. How many of you have proven the afterlife to yourselves? And do you have any advice for a new person starting out?

I have astral projected while being aware it was happening. I have looked at my astral hands during out of body experiences. In addition, I own psychic medium books on the subject, mediums who say astral bodies talk to them.

Hard not to believe in the afterlife now.

Hi, glad you got the books and CDs. you're in for a treat.  I proved said question at age 18. nowdays I think most people don't think about proving an afterlife until someone in their family dies. but I believe a poll was taken and something like 80% of people believed in god and an afterlife. it's just the details we get confused on Smiley

Greetings,

Welcome!
You've already taken the best advice I could give: getting Bruce's books and tapes.

Before Bruce's information put everything 'in order', I had no way of knowing whether all my bits of experiences were random 'brain-games' or valid.  Now I am very grateful to see how they fit in with his and others' here, and how it all fits into greater spiritual realities.
May you also have rewards from your new studies!

Bets

The existence of the afterlife has been proven to me in many ways. In order for me to not believe in the afterlife at this point, I would have to be the most stubborn being in the entire universe. Next to the word "stubborn" in the dictionary, they would put a photo of me.

I proved it to myself about a year ago. I consider Religion Idiotic and try to console people about death as much as I can.

Doesn't work out how I want it all the time but so what, I feel good talking about it.

Spiritualism is the acceptance of empirically elicited evidence that the human consciousness survives physical death and that those who survive can communicate with those who are physically on earth in a number of ways.

Hawkeye--- I'm sending out the pictures of Guideline plus a CD copy of the book I wrote. That should help you confirm some of the Afterlife experiences.  I new as a child, also, that there was more than "death" and absolute blackness.  Also, when I did a retrieval, I asked to help anyone.  I saw an acquaintance and she ran to her Jesus and they hugged. She gave me a thumbs up.  Within 3 hours of that vision, my mother called me to say that Donna had passed away about 3 hours ago. I was so honored that Donna came to me to reaffirm what I had already known.  She went to her belief system and I saw her afterlife.  --Carol Ann

I've always felt like there was an afterlife but I never had any outwards signs or experiences to confirm it personally until my Dad died last November from brain and lung cancer.

He began letting me know pretty much immediately that he was still with me and wanted to comfort me.  I've seen flashing and blinking balls of light a few times, I had my hair pulled one time, I've heard bumps and bangs, and he's come to me in some several dreams.

I've never had someone close to me die and I've also never been in the presence of a dying person until my Dad.  He and I had a very close bond and even though he hurt my Mom, brother, and me with many of the things he did, I firmly believe he's been coming to me to try and say he's with all of us and wants us to be happy.  I am the only person in the family who's "open" enough to let him do this.  I feel so lucky.

I haven't had any OBEs and I don't do retrievals or any of that advanced type of stuff but that's okay because I'm not to that level yet.  Who knows -  I may never reach it.  I'm going at my own pace and this website has been an infinite source of knowledge and support.  You've come to the right place and I think your journey will really take off.  Even though I don't post all that much I'm always reading the threads and learning from all the members here.  I'm so glad I found this community when I did.

Welcome!

hi Kate I just want to remind you that you are an important forum member just the way you are, as a lot of us don't do retrievals, we go at our own pace as you pointed out and very often we don't think about the afterlife because we're too young to think about it..doing the 9 to 5 takes up all our thoughts, not to speak of the kids need feeding.
just the fact that your willing to share with the public you have contact with your dad, this is a love story for all of us to see, thats what makes people believe.
so u are important and I LOVE your family photos! (well, pictures are a thousand words) Smiley

Alysia,

You're so sweet - thank you so much.  I don't know what I would've done had I not found this community.

I'm right there with you. I'm also new to the whole thing. I have recieved some things in dreams but the dreams always seemed to play like a cross between life and a movie sequence. I was there doing everything, talking and what not but I was not in control of any of it. It all just seems to happen in dreams. Out of everything I have seen in regards to the afterlife, the things I read on Bruce's site seemed to be the most logical. As far as advice goes, I'm new to this myself but you can learn a lot from the free articles on Bruce's site. The articles tell many an interesting story and its a great way to tide you over while you wait for the books to arrive.
Peace
David

Kate:

The amount of love you have in your heart is more important than whether or not you go out of body and such. I see you're taking care of children. That provides you with an opportunity to influence a couple of Souls in a postitive way. They in turn can effect other Souls in a positive way, and so and so on. I don't believe people should underestimate the contribution they make to the grand scheme of things through parenthood.

Recoverer,

Your words are so inspirational.  I thank you so very much for them.

The most important thing for me in this life is to be a good Mom.  After all, I signed up for this before I got here, right?  I realize that my choices affect everything I do and everything my children do and so on.  I'm not perfect but I sure do try.

It's folks like you who are here to remind us to hold our heads up high.

Sometimes my fear with all this newly acquired knowledge is that I am focusing too much on what happens after I die rather than on life here and now. When I first discovered bruce's web site, I was absolutely taken by all the information and found myself wanting to learn more and more. I feel like the information I've learned is invaluable, and it's helped me put so much in perspective. but at the same time, i've felt the need to "reel it in" so to say because it didn't seem healthy to me to be so focused on it.

so for those of you who truly engage in serious meditation, astral travel and all that comes with that, do you ever feel consumed by the afterlife and distracted from your life here and now? or do you view it a simply as a seamless extension of your physical life?
