Hi. I'm new to the site and to Bruce's work. I bought Voyages into the Unknown and couldn't put it down, and just ordered the Afterlife Knowledge Guide. I've been suffering from severe anxiety for as long as I can remember --  mainly anxiety of death. I'm excited to hopefully prove to myself that there is an afterlife and something beyond our physical bodies, but the skeptic in me never stops. I wanted to introduce myself, as from the posts I've read you all seem to be very caring people. One of my major road blocks is how evolution fits into this. Science seems to have plenty of evidence of evolution, if this is true, how does it fit into the afterlife? Also, if anyone has any words of advice for a newbie I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the site and forum. When I first found this site i was having the same kind of feelings as you, it used to scare the living hell out of me, and it wasn't dying itself that did it, it was the idea of non-existance afterwards. After readings Bruce's books and other books on the subject I have started to discover my confidence and belief in an afterlife and that non-existance is nowhere near as scary or real a prospect as it used to be.

As to how the idea of an afterlife fits in with evolution, its funny as humans we are sometimes to intelligent for our own good, we like things to fit together like a jigsaw puzzle all in their place and all a perfect fit. Life however is rarely like that as we all come to learn. The idea of an afterlife, as I see it, isnt that human people go there and come back here but rather that our spirit comes back and forwards, therfore it wouldn't matter if we had never evolved or if we had evolved into giant orange headed turtle people we'd still be going and coming between here and the afterlife.

Greetings KP138,

Welcome!  This is a wonderful group of people and I'm glad you're joining in.

Senote is right, not all parts fit. Even evolution as it has been taught has some contradicting fossil evidence that disputes it.   At the same time I think a few things do fit the concept of evolution:
Now, not last century, we have repeated reports of near death experiences that bring us views of the afterlife. Now, not decades ago, we have spiritual explorers like Bruce Moen who bring back even more extensive experiences there. Now we have methods taught by Moen, Monroe, and others, to teach ALL those interested (not just a few select monks in a monastery) how to get to the other side.
All those changes point to our now being evolved enough to benefit from these opportunities.
Isn't that evolution?
