was my catholic nun spirit my invention
May 21st, 2007 at 3:55pm

Hi I  feel like ive been tested as my catholic nun spirit guide, gave me a message for someone and it was completely wrong in everyway and this made me think as a practising medium, whether i invented her and its made me question my faith as well as my ability as a medium.

My faith in God has been tested as well as i prayed to him every night to save someone and it just has not happened,i feel really down about all this and im seriously thinking about calling it a day of being a medium.

I really feel tested by this and i have lost faith in everything at the moment.

Love and God bless  Love Juditha

Juditha:

Have past messages you received from this nun been true?

If so, are you certain you received a message from this nun on this occasion?

If so, is it possible that you didn't receive the message correctly, or the person you gave the message to, for whatever reason, didn't want to agree with its accuracy?

Regarding being tested, I doubt that a spirit who represents the light would purposely have you give a person false information.

Regarding being a medium, what are your reasons for being one?

Regarding God not responding to your prayers, I don't know the details of the situation, but life is complicated. If God always responded to our prayers he wouldn't be doing the right thing. It is often important to look at the bigger picture which extends beyond this World.

Hi Juditha,

We all have moments where we lose faith in everything...I know I sometimes do...and it seems that many times it is simply a result of weariness. If you are tired, it is time to rest. It can be as simple as that.

It can also be that some part of you is waking up and wants to move and stretch a little bit, and is frustrated by the pace around you. But it is what it is. How you see it makes all the difference, doesn't it?

Becoming a medium seems to be very important to you, but it is not and will never be all that you are by any means. I think you just need to give yourself some time to adjust to your circumstances.  It is often difficult to know what or where our true power is.

I often have wished I knew where mine was when feeling weak at heart.  But in the flow of life, sometimes we are exactly where we should be, even when it feels terrible to be there.

To let go, even for a moment, of all of your beliefs about yourself and your faith, must be very frightening for you. But it's okay. You can choose what to keep and what to discard of your previous self. Every day.

You are allowing yourself to change, and that is brave. I would not give up on what you love just yet.  But it is only human to be disappointed sometimes.

For myself, I cannot have certain experiences on demand....so if you have had some success with mediumship, then you have done very well. It is a grand experiment, and a brave one.

love to you, blink Smiley

Greetings Juditha,

I agree with blink that it could be just an adjustment to get you to rest abit.
If your spirit guides had told you directly to take a break from contacting them, would you have done it?  Smiley (I wouldn't.) Maybe the nun is tired too or has other things she must do.

You have been very generous to share your experience and faith through this board, but I wonder if we have been greedy in our responses to you, encouraging you to press on all the time. And as well you have the demands of family and church community and your own personal well-being.

Have you even had a chance yet to read any of Bruce's books?  His 'exercises' or 'lessons' are for building up spiritual strength and for getting through to the afterlife in the most direct way possible. Of course you have your own way but you might find his ideas help you to make adjustments.

Please don't cut away from the nun. Try resting you both first, OK?

Love, Bets

Juditha - Recoverer, Blink and Bets have offered some good advice.  I don't think I can add to it, but you are in my thoughts.  The idea of taking a rest is a good one.  Sometimes we all need a little holiday. Love - Rob

Juditha, I don't know about your nun. But one thing I do know is that God ALWAYS answers prayers. Sometimes the answer is NO. Did you ever think of that? I always pray for the healing of someone to be healed ACCORDING TO THEIR HIGHEST GOOD. If it is in a person's life plan to suffer, then all the praying in the world won't heal them unless it's for their highest good. Wink

sometimes we try too hard Juditha. You're still a work in progress as are we all. like the others say. Ask the god of your being what to do, when and how. And Mair's right, I tried to heal someone who didn't want to be healed once. it wasn't in their plan.

Some of the things you've said here prove you are capable of being helpful to others. you've given us readings. I liked mine! say, anytime you want to give me another reading my ears are open. love, alysia

In addition to all the other excellent advice, you might look at the picture from a slightly greater perspective. Often we make errors when we are doing something that doesn't work - in that case, what seems to be a lot of mistakes can turn out to be a somewhat rude lesson in modesty, a hint to look deeper in seeing and understanding, or a reflection of some other issue that needs attention and has somehow gotten swept under the rug.

My personal experience is that if you are willing to treat such events as examples of God's loving presence in your life (which can be hard at times) usually gives back something greater than whatever the prior loss of hassle was. It also pulls us out of the "I screwed up" modality, and into the "How may I better serve?" modality, which is a lot easier to live with.

A spiritualist minister I knew used to emphasize this in a little poem -
"Whenever you're tired or lonely or sick, do something nice for somebody quick."
