This retrieval is reported just to remind newbies that retrieving is a on-going occurence. This one was done with mind alert but body resting, not sleeping about May 6th.

The smell of cigarette smoke alerted me that some entitity was near but it had been awhile since any soul just dropped in, and I hadn't driven by the cemetery where I sometimes find 'hitch-hikers' that I take home and send off. So I started with a greeting and then  some 'yes-no' questions to get conversation going, since they are usually not used to talking with a person.

His name rhymed with an old friend so we got abit mixed up in the misunderstood sound-alike for awhile, but he was a stranger, and was surprised that I offered to send him to heaven. 'Heaven?! he sputtered. It turns out that he was agnostic/atheist, so I apologized for using a 'loaded' term, and said I was suggesting a place full of Light and Love where he would plenty of loved ones to talk to, as a contrast to just popping in on strangers as he was doing now.

He was mentally clearer in thought than any had been for awhile, maybe because he had left the physical just in 2005. So he decided he'd rather go there than stay here, I pointed to an area SW of us where many see the Light develop, and soon he had quickly lifted off.

I really didn't learn anything new from this experience. His last name, although unusual and previously unknown to me, is still in the phone book. Just wanted you to know retrievals do go on in a 'regular' way.

Usually I can't hear retrievees well. They frequently seem to mumble and also 'loop' or repeat their thoughts. I attribute their usual vagueness to (besides my hearing problem) shyness, gruffness with strangers, not having spoken to anyone for a long time, traumatization if they'd died violently, evasiveness due to the nature of what some did to get themselves stuck, etc.

This fellow wasn't loud, even seemed to be holding back abit. He was forthright, knew what he wanted to say, usually answered in complete well-formed sentences. He was eager to communicate.

When I taught art, teachers had some mini-psych workshops (I bet the pros hate to hear that! )  on what to watch for in our students' speech and manner, relative to whatever dangerous activity was prevalent at the time. Maybe I apply some of that to listening to these stuck souls.
Relative to most of my retrievees, James had been there a  shorter  time, and that might have made him clearer, but now that I've been thinking about this in response to your question, I think it has alot to do with who they were in life.
Each one is different.
When I tried writing fiction for awhile, my characters sounded too much alike. Not so with these souls.
