I've been away here and there lately and missed this thread. Deanna and Juditha, it is a confusing task to lift yourself up out of a discouraging view of the world sometimes. I so totally understand.
I suggest that you try very hard to carve out the time in your life you need for healing and restorative activiites for your body and mind. We have to feed the mind with what will sustain us when we are bombarded by an unhealthy amount of negative stimulation.
I use daily meditation for this. Some is guided. Some is just special brainwave music. But all have the purpose of uplifting the habitual thoughts that we sometimes had difficulty replacing and helping the brain find a more balanced state.
Thre is not a day that goes by that I do not do this, and have for several months now. Before that, I might let a day or two or even a week pass. No more.
We are not made to absorb the negative stimulation that we do in our communities and our world.
But, yes, there is always something positive which can be done. A task accomplished gives a person satisfaction. Find tasks that will lead you to a better existence.....identify them by name.....do a little toward these things every day, if only write them down as a map to your future.
But most of all, I say rest. It is really okay to rest as much as you need to do so. Sleep and rest are SO underrated in our societies.
Especially life changes such as divorces can be traumatic. I never expected it to happen to me. It was much more difficult than I imagined.....
and also much more rewarding.
much love to you all today, blink
