That's so interesting George...thanks for your thoughts on the sinking ship this week. I am following this story along with many others, I imagine. It does appear that the rescue was chaotic and that a number of things may have happened during the process, especially considering that very few people had time to consider taking any valuables.
I think that the mother was reported to say that she and one of the children barely got out of their cabin and that the other two were following them.
It will be interesting to see if the divers find them, and where they were. I suppose it would be hard to know exactly what transpired because....suppose the father stopped to try to take something of value? Suppose someone interrupted them as they were trying to escape?
Of course, these thoughts may seem uncaring....but I find it compelling that out of a ship of so many survivors, only two were not accounted for. I have never heard of this type of scenario. It always seems that many die in these kinds of wrecks.
