The Spiritual Importance Of Music
Mar 12th, 2007 at 11:02pm

Greetings to all on this board.   Smiley

I'm back with a greatly improved mind and understanding about myself as well as all the rest of my perceptions.
I have finally achieved a balance; both in equilibrium and yin yang. I am not quite sure yet as to whether or not it was the estrogen that I recently took and long sought after, or the slowly eroded right molar that I finally had a dental surgeon remove. All I know is that I felt a part of my brain become active and then I felt a balance I haven't had in my whole life. I could hold a good balance on my left leg before, but not on the right leg. Now I can balance easily on both legs. I think the brain change is the cause of my equilibrium correction. I gave the estrogen pills to my wife to hold for me so I could in time determine as to which reason caused the improvement of my brain.

This also seems to have boosted my mental abilities to where I can figure things out better. I just saw a movie called "Tenacious D - The Pick Of Destiny" which is about a rebel child musician seeking a supernatural pick to fame and fortune. While watching the movie, I came to realize that their are two types of music. Either music is spiritual, good, and uplifting, or music is negative, demonic sounding or destructive. These two forms of music fuel the energy toward good or evil by the power that it sends outwards. I think that if positive rather than negative music were played it would improve the world situation.

Their are two forces that God emanates, which are light and sound. The sound force is probably more persuasive than the light force while in the physical realm. I think that it is necessary to get a good foundation in sound force before trying to achieve the frequencies of light.

I wonder what sound is like without ears? I assume that the soul interprets sound the same as we do. Light appears the same whether through physical or spiritual eyes, so must it be with sound.

Sincerely,
Ralph

thats great Ralph! Smiley  I remember your name, but not your former posts.  I think the shift is here upon all of us and you're getting aid that way too, from the energies all around us. I'm relunctant to give any credit to estrogen and/or testosterone as that is pertaining to the body, however you'll have to keep us informed about that.
one thing I too share in common with you these days is the right/left brain balance, I can stand on either leg perfectly balanced also, this is new to me and reminds me of a movie I saw, a kung fu movie of attaining that balance in the body/brain feature. as a dancer, I can't begin to tell u how nice it is to have balance so perfectly. I was just thinking about this very thing the other day and was surprised you mention it, almost like you mention it for me.

I also listen to new age sky channel, only has positive sounds and have become addicted to this music in a good way. its an international channel u can get thru I-tunes or your own computer. I attribute this music to causing me to see another life I lived all thru the feelings and I love who I was then.
i don't know which is the priority; light or sound, but I know in the spiritual levels sound has it's vibratory color and is related to light very closely. so I'd say they are both important equally.

best wishes, I feel your excitement! yay!!!! Smiley

Hello Laffingrain.

Thanks for the nice response.  Smiley
There is something else that happened to me which was truly wonderful. Several days ago I saw what many near death people describe as a white tunnel. I have sleep apnea, and maybe I stopped breathing in my sleep a little too long. I suddenly awoke and saw a white mist all through the bedroom. Above me and off a few feet I saw a tunnel, with a fine white mist swirling into it. I knew I was wide awake by the but the vision persisted for about a minute longer, then slowly faded away. Believing the tunnel exists is one thing, but to experience it is quite awesome.

I have had a mental block in achieving out of body projection. I feel that the block is now removed, so I should be capable of achieving explorations now. I'm looking forward to future opportunities in meditation. I'll write about anything interesting when it happens.

Sincerely,
Ralph

Hi Ralph,
that's good, new things happen, a new way to live, I love it.

I wonder where blues music is on your either-or scale? It's not the really etheric kind of tunes, that's for sure... And then, there are some pieces of music which cause me absolute strong emotions of nostalghia, a sublime sort of sadness; you know it's not bad or evil or destructive, but as well, it's not really always helpful for becoming serene and clear. The most spiritual music to me is a rather calm Sitar/Tanpura combination, but more so, or added, tree's hiss in a steady soft wind; I like for example the pink noise in the TMI Gateway recordings. So, in the end, most spiritual for me seems to be a sound which isn't music anymore, maybe containing all possible music if you so want, as music for me is always something which is stimulating particular emotions, even when it's calm music and I'm staying calm, it's never totally "neutral", and I feel I need more detachment from emotions and "things" and ego.

I have (nearly) always a piece of music on my mind, without ear-input. But I haven't been so far in a really vivid nonphysical concert, don't know how that is. I've heard the visual and the acoustic is melting there.

I can very good stand on my left as well as on my right leg, but only with eyes opened! Ever tried with eyes closed?

One time I too saw white mist in my bedroom, when I opened my eyes after a powerful heart-love-exercise, it lasted some minutes.

Hi Ralph, nice to see you around again.  This is Justin, i've changed my screen name here.  Interesting post, and i'm a big fan of music too.

I kind of agree with the above, but i also agree with a lot of what Spooky said as well.   It's a pretty complex thing, and as far as vibrational patterns, it's all relative.   What is healing and uplifiting to some, might be inharmony and destructive to another and vice versa, because none of us are consciously operating purely from White Light consciousness (all patterns blended and merged) and so, having an energy/consciousness made up of many different and varying frequency patterns, which can be translated and perceived as color or sound, well there are so many different combinations, harmonies, and inharmonies possible and all different depending on the individual though there may be averages.

I once read about a great explanation of "evil" in a book called, The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Supposedly written by someone who could tap into the Akashic dimension or known as Focus 15 by TMI'ers.

In this book, Yeshua gives an explanation of "evil", saying that there are many different notes and vibrations in the Universe, which by themselves are inherently good and harmonious in nature, but sometimes when you mix certain combinations you get a strong inharmony, and its that inharmony which could be called "evil" if one must use that term.

The same with music, but also relatively speaking according to our own specific and unique vibrational patterns.   So are so many combinations and possible mixes..  But yes, i do agree that some music is almost a channeling of the very slow vibrating and dark nonphysical consciousness states.   Rosalind McKnight's guides talk about this as well in her second book, Soul Journeys, that some music is straight from these very lack of light consciousnesses.

There is such a thing as harmony and inharmony, both in the relative and absolute sense, and that's why these things are so complex and hard to understand, because it has both a relative side to it, and an absolute, objective side to it as well.   You have to have a perfectly balanced and merged yin/yang-feminine/masculine consciousness to fully and perfectly percieve, understand, and appreciate this.

More so, what i would say, is that when Source started to create from itself, it "moved" within itself.   Vibration is movement, and because all is contained within One Field, movement or vibration throws off an emanation, or rather it "affects" all other energies within that One field, and vice versa all other energies affects that individual and unique vibrational pattern as well.

Sound and color are "outer" manifestations of this vibration of energy, this movement and resonation of individual parts within a Whole.    I believe that in our system, everything cycles in terms of 7, including sound and color.    What i think the difference between sound and color is, is that they are in different octaves than each other, though indicating a similar thing.   Sound and color parallel each other in other words, just that sound is a slower vibratory expression of vibration.  Different notes can be correlated with different colors and vice versa.

Sound and color strongly influence and affect the Soul, because the Soul itself is made up of that which sound and color are the manifestations of!  We are music and light in active/passive combination expressions, but light and music are in a sense the "projections" and emanations of the inner actual vibratory patterns.

Interesting thoughts.  Probably similar, but different and with much, much more overall "range" i would guess.  Either way, both are a means of feeling, experiencing other vibratory patterns than our own, and translating that which is pure info into some kind of understandable sense.

The physical is a pattern of consciousness, its like a distorted reflection of consciousness which is more "real" in essence.    A good analogy is that physical is to nonphysical, what looking at a stick in water as opposed to it being out of water.   When you look through the water, the image gets somewhat skewed and out of place, not quite the right proportions, etc.

To me, physical is like that, its a distorted image reflection of the real, its a projected pattern taken and densified from the nonphysical.    So, reasoning from that perspective, its reasonable to assume that our physical senses, especially our hearing and sight, are connected to and in a sense based on our nonphysical senses?    Similar, but not quite the same in actual application and experience.  Physical by its very nature, is limited, whereas nonphysical is infinite.

Anywas, music rocks, but like Spooky, more and more i'm seeking to attune to that White Light state, and not so much to the individual patterns and frequencies as contained within that One field.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!   Smiley

I have some Irish spirit in me.
I just got home recently from 13 hour and 160 mile workday of driving wheelchair bound people through some of the worst weather that no one wants to drive in.

I was just thinking of saying today that probably it's not the music in and of itself rather than the listener that experiences a positive or negative feeling from it. I think the word used for inharmonious music is discordant.

I also love blues music. As for the wind; I made a recording last autumn of the wind with metallic chimes on a windy day that came out really good. It makes some spectacular patterns on a color organ screen display that I purchased called G-Force. Here's a link to their website http://www.soundspectrum.com/g-force/. With the proper music, it creates good patterns for meditation.

Something else I use for meditation that links light with sound is my electronic brainwave synchronizer. I have several audiostrobe discs that I bought which drive the lights in a specific way according to the music on the disc. This is the device I have http://www.iproducts.ws/orion.htm and this is where I got the audiostrobe discs http://www.audiostrobe.com/englishX/frameset.php
My favorite is called "Space Distortion 1" which uses binaural beats like The Monroe Institute.

Twenty five years ago, I used to follow the teachings of Eckankar, which is also known nowadays as a light and sound religion. Since then I learned that Paul Twitchell plagiarized the teachings of Sant Mat, or Surat Shabd Yoga.

Sincerely,
Ralph
