I definitely would say 'Hello' and see what happens. Let us know what does happen. Wink

George, don't you have an answering machine or voicemail?

Tell them you don't accept calls after 9 pm but you would be glad if they would leave you a message.

Dude, that's harsh....

What if George wins the lottery or something great like that? I used to never answer my phone (sort of a phobia)...but a friend of mine watched this insane behavior of mine (I was in my 20's) and said....hey, it Could be something Good!

She had a point!

Of course, I still didn't pick up my phone much.  Controlling b&**ch that I was....

I guess I just figured it was bound to be someone wanting something.

Guess that's why I didn't have too many friends back then....but there was no internet in the 80's. Back then I didn't even have an answering machine. So you either answered and were trapped on the line with someone you didn't want to speak to, or you didn't answer.  Those were your choices.

Nothing like today. Gee...I got a new cellphone and it's kind of silly how many things it does and yet it's still called a phone.

Well, I'm glad I got over my telephone phobia....got over the one about getting on the freeway too.  But I still avoid that.

Who needs it?  I've always hated rushing around anyway.....I didn't even have a car until I was 34, and it was a gift.  I'm still driving it, 13 years later....a few miles a day....like a little old lady.

But then, when I'm a little old lady, maybe I'll be whizzing around in some kind of hot rod.  It's just possible that my second childhood has already begun anyway. I can feel it in my bones......

George,

Possibly the ringing phone is a symbollic attempt by spiritual beings to connect with you or put you on the line.  Please do say hello and play along with their methods.

For what it's worth, George, I have also heard my phone mentally and have answered it. The voice at the other end is never clear but I have learned of the death of a friend on such a phone call and a couple of other less serious messages regarding friends and family. The information I got in those calls was helpful in preparing for the 'real' news when it came. It might also inspire you to call back the person you were talking about for an important visit.

So instead of ignoring it, answer it by saying hello, and try to get awake enough that you can concentrate in case your line has static on it too.

Love, Bets

Good advice, Bets and Mairlyn,

Didn't mean to pull the thread off track but the humor in it was too hard to resist.

I'm very curious....who can it be, George?

George:

Sometimes I'm too tired to wake up and write notes from a dream I just had. When this happens my guidance will do all kinds of things to get me to wake up so I'll take notes. A phone ringing could be a way.

Yes, please answer the phone George.

I notice that this line (thread) seems to have a lot of static on it. Hopefully the psychic connection will be better.

George,

When I'm out to dinner with friends, I occasionally like to embarrass them by asking a stranger a question like, "Does the noise in the back of my head bother you?"   Lips Sealed  Seriously, George, that sort of thing never happens to me while I am falling asleep.  But when I'm lingering in the threshold between sleeping and awakening, I too have had experiences of a loud ringing or knocking.  Swedenborg developed his astral skills through exploration of ths hypnagogic state between awakening and sleeping.  I've wondered if thse "noises" had some symbolic significance.  Do you think astral adepts from this site are trying to razz me in the morning?  Good Grief!

George, see my thread on linn's forun:
"A possible explanation for some of my voices and visions"
It is near the bottom of the first page of "Expressions of the Soul".

http://www.spiritlinnusa.com/linns_forum/viewtopic.php?t=2151

This offers a non-spiritual explanation. But I think in your case, considering your talents, I would look for a spiritual explanation.
Some spirits can actually make a real physical phone ring.
So it would not be beyond their ability to make a mental phone ring.

George,

I wasn't kidding you when I suggested that you say hello when it rings.
Just imagine mentally saying hello if you don't want to wake anyone nearby.
Then see if a voice wants to talk to you.
Have you tried that yet?
