th3digitalmind,

Welcome to the board. You may have come here for a reason. I can remember a time when I felt rather like you do now. People could talk to me all day long but I knew if I really wanted to find the truth I had to find it for myself. Now I am not saying that I am finding my answers all by myself..no, no, no. There is a lot of great help and reference here.

What I did when I first came here was start reading the articles and the posts. Form some specific questions, write them down as you run across them. Then post them here and people will jump in when they can share something they think might help. Be patient it may take a day or two but you will be answered by someone.

Start your learning process, read, form questions and enjoy the journey, you will be so glad you did. The best gift you could give to yourself.

Happy Trails, Stacy

Although most of us do not realise it, whilst we are in the body we nightly leave it through the gateway of sleep, which is the same portal as the gateway of death. To die is indeed but to fall asleep for the last time in this incarnation. But, whilst we live, we are still connected with our bodies whilst we sleep by a shining magnetic thread which instantaneously recalls the man to wakefulness if his body is touched. At death this connecting link is broken and so return is no more possible. Does this not recall to memory the words of Ecclesiastes: "or ever the silver cord be loosed." Thus, the world which he now enters is not a wholly unfamiliar world, for he has traversed some of it before, during the sleep of his body.

"Is the dying person conscious of all this?" we may ask. "What about what is called the death struggle?" This is only the physical muscles ceasing to function. The person himself is unaware of it. He is occupied with that unfolding picture of his past life, and this may go on in his consciousness even after his body has ceased to breathe. A dying person should never be disturbed or troubled. Watch his passing with peace and affectionate solicitude. An ancient Tibetan scripture tells us to sit beside him and whisper loving words, for although his ears may not hear, his soul will hear.

Hope this makes you feel better.. Just by realizing how easy it is to fall asleep... Than while we are asleep we go into the spirit world.. That is easy right?? Your subconscious mind does the work for you.. The same goes for the transition from death into the afterlife... By the way you will have your guardian angels a.k.a. spirit guides with you.. They will help you with your transition to the spirit world as well.. Also, your deceased family and friends will be there to greet you! So, you have nothing to worry about..

peace

Start reading some of the material here and then you will be ready for more knowledge. Just my opinion, it's working aces for me.

Relax a bit. Stacy

Visit www.near-death.com! They have plenty of near death experiences for you to read up  on to show you there is an afterlife.. Just read through the site and you will find lots of good information on the afterlife... Also, another good site about the afterlife is www.victorzammit.com! This is the main caption about the site.. NOT BELIEFS BUT PHYSICAL EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE. Those uninformed critics keep misinforming the public by stating that I am a ‘believer.’ That is willfully misleading. I do NOT have the luxury of beliefs. Is this the ONLY way these losers and defeatists critics try to score a cheap point by lying, misleading and misinforming? For the record: I am strictly a lawyer using ‘empirical methodology’ – meaning that I use scientific method to measure paranormal phenomena. I have nothing to do with ‘beliefs.’ I do NOT have the luxury of beliefs. All my work is about empirically elicited paranormal information. I can only accept a particular phenomenon when it can be repeatedly and independently substantiated over time and space.

All of his evidence is from out of body experiences, near death experiences, there is direct experience through apparitions, clairvoyance, clairaudience and deathbed visions. Fourth, there are revelations through other than conscious states of awareness, such as hypnosis, dreams and holotropic states. (The word holotropic is from the Greek holos, meaning “whole,” and trepein, meaning “moving or oriented towards.” It relates to a powerful method of self-exploration, personal transformation, and healing created by Christina and Stanislav Grof, M.D.) Fifth, there are revelations through mediums (mental mediums, trance mediums and materialization mediums) from loved ones who have died. Sixth, there are revelations through electronic voice phenomena (EVP) and instrumental trans-communication (ITC).

Seventh, there are transmissions from spirit teachers of high degree speaking through mediums, channellers and automatic writers.

I hope these site will help you out!

Hi Digital-
A few days back I wanted an answer too, a better one than I had, so I asked for one and wound up being told to go back and restudy  some material in a book on optics - which led to wave mechanics etc ...  And, finally, at the end of all of this I got an interesting thought.

We usually view the world as made up of discrete grains of quantum-like stuff. Like a statue of microscopic sand.  But a number of experiments have demonstrated that virtually everything can also be viewed as the collection of waves that coincide to define them. This too has been demonstrated with electrons, atoms and lots of other stuff that iitially we took to be granular.

Waves vary in;ength fro the Planck length at about 1.5 E(-35) meters to the size of the entire universe, roughly 28,000,000,000 light years. And, because this is a closed system, every wave is a part of every other wave, and thus has an identity that extends effectively infinitely through both time and space.

Each of us is made up of the same set of waves. These waves bring oscillations, like life, followed by non-life, followed by life etc. The fact that the wavelike nature of our attachment to the 3-dimensional world happens to be cyclic as well, suggests that that part of our nature will come and go, as well as every other part of whatever identifies us. Someof these things come and go visibly  and some are not so visible. But in every case, because we are, in at least one way, reducible to a collection of waves, we have at least that one way to claim the certainty of eternal existence.

All of that having been said, I go back to the advice from Daisymae and DaBears - go there and have a look. It's far more useful to see it for yourself than to ask for "proofs" which are not very personal at best.  Bruce's methods are good, and if you get into rescuing stuck souls, you'll also have fuin while acquiringgod karma. And there are lots of other approaches if that isn't enough.

Happy exploring!
dave

Hey, digital,

Take a look around you.  Do you really think that the amazing world that you see just "happened" and that there's no good reason for it?

Take a look in the mirror. Look deep into your own eyes and give yourself some love and a smile. Do you really think this precious person you see is here for no reason and is destined for nothing more than a grave?

You are much much more than this. I promise you. You are part of a masterpiece, part of a beautiful design so intricate that each one of us has only a small piece of understanding of how amazing and beautiful it is.

When you think about what you love, who you love....feel it fully. Feel it so fully that there is no room for fear in your heart. The bigger your love grows, the more sure you will be.

I promise.

love, blink

th3digitalmind,

The true man is the soul, we only have this body of flesh, so we can experience this Earth plane to it's fullest, in the material state. Leaving the body, by way of an obe renforces this. When the soul finds that the flesh body has worn out, and can not be a reliable vehecle, the soul encased in the spirit body, leaves for our true home, the afterlife in the astral worlds. Once you can master the obe experience, you wil never have questions about, or fear the death of the physically body ever again.

Dimensionally Yours,

Rick

Don't be scared of death, because I can assure you there's no such thing. I've astral projected a lot in the mornings, always by accident.

Besides the physical body, we have another body called the astral, etheric, or spirit body.

Your spirit survives physical death, subconsciousness I'm not so sure, but your spirit is eternal.

Did you suffer in any way, before you were born?
You fear "drifting in endless blackness" or something
like that. Funny how a lot of ATHEISTS think that's
what oblivion is.
But would not the "black void" be an afterlife in its own right,
if you were conscious enough of it to perceive "blackness" -
or ANYTHING else? True oblivion is unimaginable,
for human beings... for it is truly NOTHINGNESS. (Not
an easy thing for a mutated chimpanzee to wrap his
brain around, when you think about it.)
No parties to go to, I'll admit. (And no s--t to shovel either.)
But you WON'T suffer for that loss, nor for anything else. (The Buddhists call it Nirvana, I think?)
That being said... even if your worst fears were confirmed
and you were "drifting alone in a black void" -
Would that not STILL be better than "torture in Hell forever"
OR "Gazing from Heaven, watching your spouse/friends/family
members being tortured in Hell forever" (like the fundie Christians
believe will happen?)
AND would not TRUE OBLIVION, be that much better?
(Something to consider, eh..?)

Hi Elite NYC,
I hope that the subconscious mind WOULD die. Would you really
want to have to lug THAT monstrosity along with you in your
post-mortem existence (or even worse, it IS the real you, and your
spirit is just something "tacked" to your subconcious, that drops away
after you die... and you find that all the weaknesses, personality quirks,
and bad habits you fought with your entire life, were ***ALL YOU HAD TO
LOOK FORWARD TO FOR THE REST OF ETERNITY? Because they WERE YOU..?***)
Oblivion's soundin' better every day, lemme tell ya..!

Why fear something that is inevitable?? Everything that lives on the physical plane eventually dies. I also know that out of body projection is possiable because i've done it and after reading this site for over a year now I no longer have any doubt that after death we transend physical form and move on to a new concious existance. Smiley
I suggest that you look into astral projection and start reading some books on the subject, once you have an obe the experience will help make you realize that there is so much more to this whole thing then meets the eye Smiley
