I need some insight....
Feb 1st, 2007 at 4:06pm

I have had an interesting couple of months. I set out seeking answers and now I feel as though my awareness has exploded all over me (in the best possible way) and I have discovered the more questions I have answered the more questions I have. What a beautiful cycle.

Anyway, here is question one.

I have this thing, I don't know what to call it cause I don't know what it is but I can describe it. When I am around running water you know dishes, laundry..my mind becomes quiet and in my minds eye I see a briliant bright pulsating light. But more than a light. It feels alive. The colors are a mixure of bright oranges, some golden yellow and bright white. I can't really tell where one color leaves off and the other begins because it seems to keep changing...pulsating. It is breathtakingly beautiful and gives me a complete warm loving feeling inside.

It has been happening for years, but now it is more frequent. And until recently it was off in the distance. Now it comes in close and moves away again several times and then it is gone. But the feelling stays with me. I can't tell if it moves toward me or if I more toward it, I have no sense of motion...but plenty of awe.

Can any one give me some insight please?

Thank you,  Stacy

Daiseymae:

I can't say for certain what your experiences are about, but orange and yellow are the colors of the 2nd and 3rd chakras. Amongst other things, they have to do with will/volition.  If they mix with white light, this could indicate moments when your will merges with the light of God and/or your higher self.  Do you get the pleasant feeling in your abdominal area? This is where the 2nd and 3rd chakras exist.

Regarding flowing water, it could be that flowing water reminds you of the light energy that runs inbetween your 2nd and third chakras. When I receive messages from my spirit guidance, sometimes I'm shown flowing water as a symbol for light energy.

recoverer,

Thank you for your input, you have given me a lot to think about. I don't know much about chakras, but now I intend to find out. Is there a chakara in the chest heart area? I was wondering about this last week because I had a very emotional feeling take me over by surprise and after some deep emotional tears were spent my chest area was hot and an "explosion" of sorts seemed to happen and I felt lilke I "bloomed". Chakras are associated with flowers right? That is exactly what it felt like..like I was the flower blooming.

The pleasant feeling are hard to localize because my whole body is pulsing and afterwords I am shaking all over and have to sit because I am dizzy..like I am not quite all the way back yet. Not at all unpleasant. And then questions are answered (it's like I had the answer all along just could not find it before) but this brings more questions and I have to know more!

You also hit on another point that I was not going to bring up yet but I will give a few details.  I have been asking God (even though in my soul I know he is true) to give me a personal sign.  Something that I could not deny, and I asked for over a year. I got my answer a few days ago. I will go into detail at a later date. It is changing me in ways that I do not even understand yet but I feel it happening. Does that make any sense?

I was a sad lost soul not that long ago but I feel that I am finding my way back. It is so nice to have a hand along the way. Thank you.     Stacy

You're welcome Daiseymay:

There are various viewpoints about chakras. The simplest start with six chakras. There is one in the heart area. It is symbolized with the color green. I feel "lots" of activity in this chakra. Sometimes it expands so it encompases my entire chest area. Sometimes I'll experience like explosions within it when blocks are cleared.

It sounds like you might've had a kundalini awakening, which is an awakening of spirit energy. Eventually it'll work its way to your throat chakra which has to do with communication.  Next it will work its way to your third eye chakra which is inbetween your eyes and extends to the back of your head. Next it will find its way to your crown chakra which is at the top of your head, and will connect you to God, your higher self,  and other divine forces. Because you've seen white light it might already be activated. The manner in which it unfolds isn't precisely the same for all people.

It is good that you asked God for help. Far better than relying on the numerous kundalini gurus that exist. When my kundalini awakening process started I didn't want to rely on the gurus that exist, because I had found how so many of them can't be trusted. So I prayed to God and my higher self instead, and asked for help.

The kundalini unfoldment process can be rather difficult at times. It is important to have divine guidance and live your life in the spirit of love as you go through the process.  I had this experience early on. One night while laying in bed with my eyes closed, I saw a life size image of like a heavy metal rocker dude. I could see kundalini moving through him. He said "I use my kundalini for the sake of evil. Next I saw a life size demonic image of myself.  Next I saw the face of Jesus Christ. The message was clear. If one goes through the kundalini unfoldment process, it is important that they do so in the spirit of Christ consciousness. So don't be afraid to pray to Jesus for help, because he is available to provide help. I don't know how you feel about him, but I've had experiences and have received messages which show that who/what he is isn't limited by some of the fundamentalist ideas people try to define him by.

Eventhough kundalini can connect you to the World of spirit, it is also a creative energy that can be used in many ways. If you engage in activities that cause your energy to go down,  your kundalini will manifest in such a way.

Whatever you do, don't try to force the energy past blocks, which are limiting psychological issues and ideas that get stuck within our spirit body. If you allow the energy to be taken care of by divine guidance, it will work on the blocks in a manner that goes beyond what you can find in a book. You'll need to do your part by finding resolution for and letting go of the limiting psychological issues you run accross.

There are various ways in which you can find these issues. One thing I did early on is divide my life into stages, and within each stage made a list of the issues that troubled me.  After doing so, I tried to find as much closure on the issues as I could.

Another thing I've done is pay attention to my dreams. I've found that I receive divine guidance through dreams. Psychological issues I didn't know about were pointed out in such a way. So were perspectives with which I could look at the issues. It helps to keep a dream journal near your bed, because it'll enable you to make some notes right away so you won't forget.

Another thing I do is ask questions while meditating or laying in bed awake. Often I'll receive answers in the form of symbolic visual images, often moving, or short waking dreams.  This imagery is accompanied with thought packages that provide an explanation.  Sometimes I just receive thoughts.

As you go through this process your subconscious mind gets revealed to you.  You might discover things you weren't allowing yourself to see. You'll be surprised at some of the things your mind has created. What it has created isn't simply a matter of what you consciously told it to create, sometimes it'll create according to things you've witnessed during your life but didn't engage in. Some of these things might be unpleasant. You migh also find that there are issues you are angry about unconsciously, but not consciously. Our childish-ego based mind can be quite a rascal.

Many years ago..back in the early 80's, a friend's mother made a statement that has just "stuck" with me all these years and I think of it when I am taking a bath or at the beach, or like you, in everyday activities around water.

She said "You are closer to God when you are near water."

I don't even know why she said it..but the phrase has struck me that I feel closer to All when I am near water.  I have better insights into things bothering me while contemplating them by water..and nothing is more relaxing to me than water..followed by the desert..

Shirley:

I also like the desert.  It touches me more than a forrest.

I had this experience the other day. First I was shown a desert that wasn't completely flat--it had some variations in its terrain. I like how this made me feel. Next I was shown country side like land with foothills and a minimal amount of foilage, which I also like, but I found that it took away from the feeling I had when looking at the desert scene.

I believe that the vastness and heat of a desert remind us of the vast light of our prime source/God.  This might be why some people like laying down at the beach all day. The simplicity of landscape, the vastness of the ocean, the continuous sound the waves make, and the sun that shines down upon them.

Interesting enough, I didn't like it when the desert scene was made completely flat, because even the prime source has some variation.

I also like the feeling I get when I stand on a plateu on a warm day and look at the vast scene before me.

Hi Daisemae-
I agree with Recoverer, you are developing kundalini. Among other things, this tends to bring emotional volatility, lots of emotion! People who force the experience with drugs or who do pranayama and are unprepared tend to get a "psychedelic trip" than can be uncomfortable.  This is rare with well prepared people. My usual advice is to dedicate yourself to God, since that's the direction you're going anyhow, and keep in mind that no matter how things look at any specific moment, God has found you worthy, and you can have faith in it that all is well.
Enjoy!

recoverer,

WOW...thank you. You have made this whole process much easier to understand and deal with...thank you just doesn't cover it. I am giving myself the time I need to drink in all this new information before forming any questions or conclusions. I do have one nagging question though...does everyone go through this before they pass on to the afterlife or is there a significant meaning behind this. Don't worry about shocking me I feel very open and unshockable at this point. I could not have said that a very short time ago. I am one big SMILE!

dave_a_mbs,

Thank you Dave, It is so important to get a second opinion to confirm and banish denial. I have no intention to force the "happenings" with drugs or hype. After reading recoverer's guidelines I realized I have been taking the correct steps naturaly. What a confidence builder that was. It helps me to trust myself and my "visions" if that is what they are.
It was very helpful to see it in print, it helped me sort things out in my mind.

And yes this is a very emotional time, I am glad you pointed that out as I was not sure where all that was comming from. When I read your last sentence I burst into tears...the best possible kind...and I thank you for that.

Daiseymae:

You're welcome. It isn't necessary for everybody to have a kundalini awakening before they pass over. Not at all.  What's most important is to grow in love.

I don't know why it has happened for you. Not all reasons are exactly the same.

Stacy, still thinking of you dear heart, but just had to respond to Shirley briefly about the water..she reminded me of like a very lucid dream or obe recently. I think I was trying to tell myself something. I'm actually going to be moving soon. in the dream I walked out my side door which leads into a fenced in yard. it was very real, I opened the door and steped into a new landscape like I was in the twilight zone...I found myself on a cliff, some rocks and below me was a lake which winded around to the side. it was so calm and peaceful looking and I was filled with awe that I was there. always wanted to live by a lake Shirley!
lots of people, that have property near water charge upwards of $50k more just for the view, so wish me luck. I'm not rich!

I lived in the desert 3 years, cant say I'd go back there although the sunsets are wicked.

Stacy, those love vibes are changing your overall vibrational tone, eventually you'll even out your emotional body and reach a total clarity..your mind will be like a placid lake. I think basically we all develop in similar ways and the body changes too.
love, alysia

Great posts everyone! I see many unwavering truths in what has been written.

(Regarding the soothing, calming, connecting effects of water.) I too have experienced a universal connection with water; ever since I can remember. It has an amazing quality to it that feels like something familiar and meaningful. I can spend hours next to the ocean or by a stream and feel the connection to something ultimately profound. It is a cleanser of the mind. It allows for graceful contemplation and seems to open awareness into deeper meanings and truths.

Sunrises and sunsets are another great connective force as well.

Far as I can tell, Stacey, we either do it the "easy way" and get to enjoy the trip - what you're doing - or we get it all at once when the body falls off along with all the inhibitions. But I haven't been there to look recently, and won't go back for another look for another few years (I hope).

I got the thing turned on with drugs a long time ago (about as useful as sticking a finger into a light socket!) and my personal take on water was that a cold shower was about the only thing that kept me sane.

What you are experiencing is the way it's supposed to be.

If you want a scorecard, or landmarks, Swami Sivananda did a book on the experiences associated with raising kundalini. It will tell you that you're doing just fine.
