I tried to google "fly hunnies," but just got a few myspace references to "hot chicks," so I assume that this is the meaning.  Do we have rap and hip hop to thank for this expression?  I think that flies are attracted to honey so, I guess it makes sense.  I'm not sure I'd want to grow up with today's music scene/culture. 

Anyway, my thoughts are these:  Once you believe that there is a soul, a spirit, and that consciousness continues, then you are duty bound to explore yourself (search your soul, as they say), to live more than a mindless careless or selfish individual.  For when individuality is seen as an illusion, then pleasing ourselves despite the consequences does not make sense anymore.  Meditation may help.  The Gateway series may help, but you do work within their parameters of energy balloons and focus levels (a belief system unto itself which tries to shake up your preconceived belief systems). 

If you believe that you are a consciousness and continue after death, then harming another being, entangling yourself in the push-pull interactions of karma (false duality), is counterproductive.  This is where the teachings of Jesus and similar philosophies (including the universal golden rule) come in to play.  Many ponder how we could "offer or turn the other cheek" when slapped on one cheek by an angry person.  Or how we can judge not, less we be judged (by our own spirit).  I am not a christian by faith, but many of these teachings are priceless and in tune with new age/spiritual philosophy.

As to 2012 - the way I think about it - fuggedaboutit, as they say in New York.  We are not on a deadline.  Our main purpose on this earth is to express ourselves and learn about love, forgiveness and our interconnectedness.  If I were to use 2012 as some sort of deadline, it would imply that missing that deadline, people might be "left behind."  Ridiculous.  Those dying right now, good people and bad, all have their spiritual journies and they died prior to this date.

If one works on a deadline, then one is pressured and may be acting out of haste rather than expressing love in a natural way.  If you talk the talk but don't walk the walk, then when you enter into spirit, any false pretenses melt away.  Your true inner nature and tendencies are open to you and God - there is no hiding away in privacy or secret deception in spirit.

So I say - go on your spiritual quests.  Live well, love well, explore your mind, thoughts, and learn everyday.  2012?  It will come and go, we are in no rush.  Our consciousness/spirit is immortal.

I'm not implying that 2012 is a deadline. I believe its more of a time of change. If this worldwide shift of consiousness does occur, I cant see anyone getting left behind so to speak. I just think that doing things that Ive listed will help the change to be smooth and easy. Someone so tied down by belief systems and only interested in material possesions and not living a life with love for themselves and others will have a harder time adjusting to the changes and may even reject the changes... If they even occur. Thats what Im saying.

Yeah I agree with you that it doesn't need to be deadline. From most of what I've read and listened to about 2012, it is about a change in consciousness and a new spiritual age. The date is from the Mayan Calendar which I understand is extremely accurate, spiritually knowledgeable and specific in its cycles. I think the change or shift can be positive or negative depending on your perspective.

I've also read the idea about a re-programming of our DNA, and in the future everyone will have their telepathic abilities opened up even in the physical body. Some psychics say we all have these intuitive abilities but wouldn't it be great if everyone could do these things and it was our primary state of consciousness even while on earth (although its a little bit hard to imagine what this would be like). Some may perceive 2012 as a scary thing but let me tell you this 'If you fear then what it is you fear will project more fear back to you'.

So if it is a positive shift that leads towards world peace, proving of spirituality to all and a break down of the divisions of religion and politics, then it would be a wonderful thing. I can believe in this but I don't like to believe in 2012 as the end of the world as some others talk about. It could simply be an end of the way things are now and a change to a different way of experiencing reality in the physical realm.

The evidence that something significant is going to happen to 2012 is impressive and hard to ignore. I'm still sceptical about some of the arguments put forward but the overwhelming interest in the subject within several different spiritual belief systems gives the concept more weight as a whole. But I want to think it will be positive if I myself have a positive outlook. Those who have a negative outlook are likely to have a negative experience. Simple cause and effect theory really.

I have heard that in Focus 27, thought is transmitted sometimes in thought balls or packages filled with information.  Many spiritualists also claim that there is no secrecy because we wear our thoughts on our sleeves for all to see.  Thus, people present their "inner selves" as Swedenborg called it, where the "outer nature," the mask we all wear on earth fades away.  This is why, Swedenborg thought that after a brief time, the person's inner nature would lead them inexorably to heaven or a self created hell; the trappings of our masks of civility are gone, and the spirit will do what it is attracted to.

I'm not sure reading each others' minds will happen - in some ways it might interfere with the purpose of being incarnate on earth.  Who could keep a poker face, afterall, if all thoughts were known?  It would solve a lot of problems, but I am not sure if this is part of the quantum shift in consciousness.

I recently saw a special on Public Broadcasting TV regarding years 2007 through 2011.  According to the studies, the Myan calanders coincide with the Egyptian calanders and during the 2007 through 2011 time frame, many upheaveles will ravage the earth. It will be up to the very few who KNOW spirit to be the positive energy that saves the planet from certain destruction.  There also have been many profits who have also "seen" the same time period as a dooms-day for the inhabitants of Earth.  Those profits say the same about the faithful to the spirit/soul seakers and the  "afterlife" beings who will be the safe keepers of our planet.  Count me in----- I will fight with all my spirit to bring positive changes to our planet earth.
My new mantra I say faithfully: We are willing to receive a pure uncondtional love peace treaty for this planet, Earth. 
I say it over and over.  When any small peace accord comes about, I say thank you.

Just on this positive and negative thing. These are subjective terms and although in my heart I do not wish for an armageddon like scenario, I do read in places that there will probably be more tsunamis and earthquakes and other natural disasters as a part of this consciousness shift and moving into a 'New Age'. The Asian Tsunami in 2004 is part of this shift.

My wisdom tells me that before peace arrives in a world like ours there probably will be some chaos. As I've stated before I believe that we live in a mass universe of consciousness and so too the planet is a living being in itself it has been mistreated with all the air pollution and the human population has become too big to be supported under the way of living of the past century or so, which is for alot of people about exploiting the natural resources to the maximum extent possible. Unfortunately some of us will have to face the consequences for this. No matter what happens talking to people about the afterlife gives me comfort and assurance that if this life doesn't go the way I want it to, I get a new chance to experience existence in the world of spirit and I also have the choice of re-incarnation. 'The more study, gaining of knowledge and experience on the afterlife the better' is another one of my mottos.
