hi there. I wrote this morn, thinking about this board.
_____

awaken me what is, to the majesty of full mystery undone
I linger on the precipice of nothingness
and can bear the weightlessness no more

I lay crushed awaiting the final moment to taste death and feel its safety
not knowing I have forgotten I live in a dream

what beguiling charm would be death which I supposed brought rest
from stark bright light would the rainbow colors come?

I heard the ah drone of the choir. It pulled me there, a bee to honey.
there is another vineyard over yonder and the wind took my sails.
Are you ours said the mutants? may I? said the bee who lived in the dream
whose wings had been caught by tropical sweet smelling wind.

We shall pretend said the hive and overlook your different rumble but do not disturb us, we have work; we promise you can ride with us when the time is right.

will you die soon? said I, buzz, buzz.
no, not quite said the hive, first we must straighten your kinky feeler.
thanks I hummed, but did you not say you would overlook my differences?
and you believed us? haha!
oh, I see! I see! We are making this up!
Give me room said the bee with the torn wing
I shall mend myself by dying and being reborn then.

As you will dear friend and so be it chorused the hive. We did not lie when we said you could come with us. BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!

Terrific, Alysia..it spoke volumes to me..especially:
but did you not say you would overlook my differences?
and you believed us? haha!

I think sometimes..its hard to overlook the differences, huh?

Then again..do we really want to live in a hive mentality? Smiley

My first impression is usually simply, wow..lol...but seriously, poetry is like a siren to me...in a good or the best way that can be...that is a truly beautiful piece of writing, I like it, it makes me kind of have to read it in an "altered state" to truly appreciate it...so it's the kind that makes you feel something...my favorite.

I have been digging through old papers, and files, looking for old pictures, trying to create a photo album, pictures trapped all over the paper messes...and I came across this very tattered piece of paper..and it was a "poem"that I wrote when I was 15 years old. This was amazing in itself, b/c not many things were able to follow me that far, it's saving grace was being forgotten in an important looking stack of papers....and it seems strange to me,familiar but not, now I'm 32, and wouldn't dream of writing anything that resembles this...but for the sake of progress will recount it as something to keep me forever humble, and b/c I enjoy contrasts....eeeekkk

Untitiled thoughts at age 15..."Violated by purple eye shadow and dyed hair, while taken are the thoughts from within
Gone are the secrets held by cotton and lace, unable to buy desires
Fly high....shot down eagle, feathers fall like snowflakes
Glass eyes in mirror, plastic complexion stares hatefully across the rug
Running to the ocean, crawling from the pavement that scrapes
Wide-eyed in the dark, while sleep arrives....NOT
Flames go up to melt the wretched faces, clowns with painted faces to hide the pain
I am a heathen by true nature, savages dance around a fire, dirt collecting in hide blankets
Pieces stay...and some are carried to another soul's destiny
Fairness is not in grasp, systems try to break you into what society does not fear
Out-stretched arms fade with the on coming breeze, when colors taste bleak and lifeless....

Whoa! Undecided  I have a feeling it was unfinished...but thank goodness in a way....but it's great to look back and then continue writing a new chapter..Smiley

Shirley, god no, no hives for the likes of us! Smiley   consensus agreement is the hive. politics is the hive. one time I was (this is off the wall)  companion to a rich old lady. I asked her, say how do u manage to marry a millionaire twice in a row? Be a respector of no man she said. even the president has to use the toilet daily. ahhh, I hope my point is not lost. Tongue
