B-man,
There are so many variables involved. What if you are revived, but stroked out? Couldn't move a muscle? Live like a vegetable for years while they analyze a man from 300 years ago?

-I'd like to think that by that time, medicine would have advanced from
the rather pathetic, glorified-1930's level it is today, so that being "stroked-out" wouldn't be an issue. Of course it would be a risk of such things I was taking, but isn't existence all about taking risks?
Worldly possessions, sex, all manifestations of the physical world have their place initially to explore, then to keep with us but go beyond, as we realize that they are not ends and goals in and among themselves. This is why the rich media stars are so miserable all the time.
******************
-Yeah, poor little rich boys. Pitiful isn't it?

But you must realize that material things are what I live for. Can't
imagine EVER tiring of worldy pleasures, Doc. But if you can, then
you do your thing, and I'll do mine. (And BTW, you wouldn't vote
to BAN cryonics, if the issue ever came up - would you? Some
religious types would, as I understand it. Funeral industry doesn't
like cryonics either - but I never felt the need to support my local
embalmers. They do well enough for themselves, as I'm sure you
can imagine. Not exactly a business that's at risk of running out of
clients..!)
If someone could preserve your spirit/brain in a cyborg, it wouldn't be worth a damn if you didn't pursue love, grace, and forgiveness. Existence solely for the sake of existence (or for fear of death) is always a hollow one.
*****************
Words, words, words. (Sounds like a platitude to me, Doc...)
What if that "cyborg" wasn't the tin can you imagine, but a
souped-up version of the human body - "Homo Excelsior"
if you will? Have some IMAGINATION, dude!!! (You sound
like you've watched too many old 50's sci-fi movies.)
And who is to say what is "hollow", and what isn't?
"Nothing is true; Everything is permitted"
