Just wanted to mention that no one has posted in the book forums below for over 3 weeks. If anyone has any questions at all regarding Bruce's books and Robert Monroe's books, please use those forums as that's what they're here for. Otherwise, well, they take up space so if they're not used, they 'might' be deleted. And that would be sad.

I hope you were joking about being deleted.  What's the rush?  Hopefully all the new people we have here lately are doing their reading and will post stuff soon.  I know of a few who have ordered books.

I would love to add to the book forum but have been busy writing the last few weeks.

Hi Mair...

I plan on plumping up all those threads but it shore do look suspicious, you're right on, when nobody wants to talk about what's in those books of Bruce's...I sure do...not that I have all the answers, but I like to follow his line of thought and Monroe's too..I have to reorder Monroe's books...love to re read a book..always blow myself away with what I missed Shocked  maybe if we just ask folks to read the books they will? and yes Vicky, I noticed a few people did make comments that they have the books now and I'm so glad about that!  I know...theres so many books to read, all of them good stuff to assimilate..seems like with the shift in consciousness (changing times, folks) there is not enough time in a day to read a book or even sniff a darn flower! Huh

but maybe its just me...about all the good books and the confusion which one?
follow your heart I always say because your heart will not betray you nor lead u astray...me...I was born sorta one pointed..once I find a good author I'm there forever to back them up. I can't expect this to be everyone's way, nor expression but still, I hate being all alone on the book forum...feels like I am just talking to myself..can feel a little silly after awhile.. Tongue   we must have done a PE as you certainly express my sentiments well sis!  I have only gratitude for this forum though. I feel so sappy sometimes about it..
well, talk soon I'm sure. alysia

Greetings,
I think about the Book Forum alot too, especially these past few weeks when I was on the road and couldn't get to a computer.
One idea I've thought about and discarded was to copy threads from AK, etc that had to do with a book, and retitle the copy for the appropriate book forum.--? but I don't know that that would make the Book Forum more active, only more inclusive as a record of book interest.
Another possibility is to index the early book forum discussion questions that are grouped together, in hopes the index would make those more accessible, but that gets tricky as one question can cover several topics, part of its vitality and fun to see how it developes, but difficult to index. I've tried some on paper at home.  Results end up the same as above--the new index additions give the appearance of activity but don't necessarily make people more interested in it .
Undecided I'm still thinking on it but don't have answers as yet.

Vicky, I wasn't joking, just stating an obvious fact that if something isn't used, it's discarded. I'm not saying Bruce would delete it, I don't know. I hope not, just would like to see it get used when people read the books.

Marilyn--- I've been off the post for some time.  Where is the book forum?  What are we discussing now?

Hi,

identcat, you have to click the "Conversation Board" button (not the "Forums" button) then the book forum should show up.

Well, or maybe in the future the book forum will have some adds, maybe with Alysias and Vickys books....?!

I appreciate that you all care about this, especially Bets.

also, on my mac its different maybe..I click the "home" button and all the forums are shown, the book forums below the regular forums but if I click conversation board I only get the regular forums. that might explain why some of us don't see the book forums if we're used to going straight to conversations.
I should pass this on to administration maybe.

Bets, thats a good idea, we could dig some in the archives for book talk, or related to something in the books, paste it up give credit to the originator and discourse on the subject. Smiley  I've seen this done once in awhile; usually with a good for and against argument about something with a couple thousand hits! usually it's forgotten after its been beaten to a bloody pulp, ever notice that?  but its never been about a topic complimentary to this boards purpose...so should look for the needle in the haystack I suppose.  you have a point human nature has a way of taking a thread and running away with it and its fun to watch to see where it ends up. I dont see anything wrong with that. always someone comes along and gets everyone back to the topic before it gets buried.
ok, I'm off to live my life as soon as I find it (supposed to be funny) and see if I can think of something to add to the book forum.
right now I'm reading The Shift compiled by Tate; channelled material with Elias as the star. "a time of change" on the cover. sometimes I like to take a thought and compare it to another author's thought, add my own spice for flavor and start putting that down on paper. I might do that.
Spooky thanks for thinking of me..I'm doing alittle blush now..u will get my book in the mail someday from me... Smiley

Greetings,  Smiley
What do you think of those 2 'old' posts on Bruce's book 5?
I reviewed pp 83--73 of the 'Afterlife Knowledge' forum and found only 2 threads that directly referred to our book forum books. I posted them as 'retrieved' (should have said re-posted?), so now we'll see what those folks who wrote several years ago think of having their thoughts from back then back out again (alysia, you're on one.)  Smiley
Perhaps the format of re-posted entries should be changed?
Do the still active members who's thoughts are being brought out need to be recontacted for permission? (If so I don't know if I'd have the time to do it.)
Does it seem like 'cheating' to be reposting old posts?
I also looked thru "Archives' Index, but it only had one page of thread titles that I could find, none seemingly relevant.
Another thing I noticed was that there were more stuck soul retrievals listed back then. Since comments have been made that the retrievals section needs activity too since it's supposed to be our main reason for being, do you all suggest that I bring those up for reposts too?
This all took abit over an hour, which is about what I can spend on it in a day.
Now that you see it, what do you think?

I think people need to be made aware of the Book Forum which is why I started this. I'm amazed to see that people don't even know where this is. I always click Conversation Board and ALL forums show up.

Bets, maybe links to the old posts. Then there doesn't have to be room taken up on the board with reposting them. Just an idea.

Marilyn, excellent idea to add links to pertinent posts..then we wouldn't be repeating whats already here! love it! Bets, since it was your idea....maybe you could add a few links if you desire. Grin
I like the way you try to organize things btw..we haven't had anyone take this much interest except for one fellow and he took off..we all need time to build what we would like to see here and unfortunately life calls us into other directions...
I will read the two old posts today.  we should consider when posting here, what we post is made public to the www, therefore there should not be objections as it's already been posted and gives the poster a chance to perhaps clarify or add to the former thoughts for us if they desire and the intention is to share and evolve here into all we could be and to learn from each other. I know some of my posts I'd enjoy the chance to look over and add to them. good heavens Bets, whats this about cheating? sometimes in life we have to take a couple steps back in order to take one step forward Cheesy  thru the years the retrievals section has always been sparse to my perception, its not really a problem as I see it except that thats why we're here to bring attention to the act of retrieval to the fore. retrievals are nothing new btw, they were reported in some very old books here and there. they are simply acts of love, is why they are not new..its just that here we have a teacher who guides us step by step (Bruce's books). my opinion. and hope some smarty doesn't ask me what love is. thats your own definition and everybody knows what love is in their heart of hearts. thanks Bets, I like what you do, I like what you are!  and Mair is a great teacher leading us down this road too. hugs, alysia

Links! Yay!
Thanks, Mair and alysia!
So I would just give the page number and title and maybe who started it? All the links on one thread "Oldies But Goodies' or separate ao they can see the titles?
Sory to do this housekeeping out in public but maybe it's educational for people to see that it takes some effort, plus anyone's ideas are welcome to help form this!
Links!  Smiley

or put archive link to this topic? oldies but goodies reminds me of 50's music Cheesy which btw, in my next life, which nobody here is interested in I'm sure, I'm going back to the 50's and sing on the street corner with my buddies Smiley we do harmonies and sing for free.

speaking about housekeeping..had me own business..learned to appreciate that I clean other people's toilets..became proud of it Cheesy now I spend about 90% of my time still going after the dirt!! aint no shame there either! love you all! alysia
