i would like to share the writings of Silver Birch if i may;

Guidance from Silver Birch

The teacher cannot teach until he has learned the lessons himself through the only way that the lessons can be learned. The road to spiritual attainment is not an easy one.  Were it easy, it would not be attainment.  Were it easy, it would not be worth having.  To give service you have to be ready to serve.  And to be ready you yourself must undergo those experiences which will touch your soul, unfold your spirit and put your psychic gifts on the highest possible spiritual level.

There are many with psychic gifts, but there are not so many with psychic gifts expressed in any spiritual heights.  We are concerned only with those who wish to use the gifts of the spirit, not just the gifts of the astral body, not the extension of the physical senses for experiement.  There are many people who want to change your world, who do not wish to change themselves.  And there are many people who want to change other people, but all development and all reform must start with the individual soul.

Until you yourself have unfolded your spiritual gifts and expressed them and utilised them in service, you are not fit to reform anyone else.  Man must regenerate himself.  He must find himself.  He must change his own heart, his own mind, his own outlook, so that the spirit which is divine finds the fullest expression.  I do not care what religious label or political label is worn.  I do not think that is important.  If that helps, that is all right.  But what is important is that lives should be lived in the full, divine light, in the rich radiance, in the nobility and dignity which are the gifts of the Great Spirit as part of the heritage of every child.

Love cannot be measured; love cannot be weighed; love cannot be dissected with any instrument: but love exists. Love is the greatest power in the universe.  Love is the fulfilling of the law.  The whole universe exists because of love. This love is the motivating power of love and is responsible for breaking down the barriers between the two worlds of matter and spirit.   There is no problem so great that you do not possess the power to solve it, no burden so heavy that you do not possess the power to carry it.  Give yourself the power of love.  The kingdom of heaven is within.

Hi Augoeideian and all,
Silver Birch says the spiritual way isn't an easy way. Some might say "nah, then I don't chose it, I don't wanna hear this >you must work hard< stuff everyday, I do work hard and it yet doesn't work!"
I have found out, in my life, there was nothing really easy. When I imagine I would start now without compromises an "easy living", it wouldn't work, this easyness would feel quite heavy after some time I guess. So, I tell everyone spiritual development isn't harder than the so called "easy living"- or I just delude myself.
The other thing is, don't take the reverse-conclusion: "What is hard, must be spiritual beneficial". I have no counter evidence, but I don't either see positive evidence for that.
I would say, if you want the bliss and the adventure of taking consciously a spiritual path, you must live with the consequences too, with expanded awareness you see more, but not only angels on clouds.
Say Augo, does Silver Birch tell something about outerly signs of spiritual development, like "serving the poor", "is not wearing the expensiest cloths", "not sitting hours reading on internet boards", "has a spiritual teacher", "gave his/her property away" etc. ? (I haven't read Silver Birch)

Hi all, Janice hello, Marilyn hope you are well, Cathy thanks for the kind words, CA - hows your back hope not causing you too much pain (i had a back operation last year - a disc was pushing on my scatic nerve ow ow surgery was the only solution and i am glad i had it although the days before are scary just thinking about it but after the op the pain was completely gone - i can only imagine how mediastreamer felt having an heart operation) Juditha and Deena heya and Spooky hi hows it going .. is Germany getting back to normal after the world cup, that was quite an event and your country must be very proud in being such good hosts.  (SA has the cup in 2010 gulp hope we ready!)

Silver Birch .. Silver Birch is an entity who talks through a medium (Anne Dooley) although i am not sure if he currently still does - this particular book is from 1966 and i have not seen any since (maybe a google should be done lol)  Silver Birch says that he is from an old North American Indian
group and is dedicated in service.  His service is communications through mediums and his words are fill of love and encourgement - the impression is a very gentle soul.

His work is similiar to the Seth books, Michael books, Lazarius books and Hilarion dialouge. And Edgar Cayce as well.

His main message and area of service is : the path of a medium channelling a spirit while on earth, and in fact how little true mediums are found to contect with.  So the part where he says:

"We are concerned only with those who wish to use the gifts of the spirit, not just the gifts of the astral body, not the extension of the physical senses for experiment .... is that lives should be lived in the full, divine light, in the rich radiance, in the nobility and dignity which are the gifts of the Great Spirit as part of the heritage of every child." ... Is in relation to chanelling.

I hear what you say about the 'hard' path Spooky - good comments.  Within a spirit awakening to attainment there is a burning of internal fire that takes place; a transforming of the base metal into gold through heat.  It is fact that the only way this transformation takes place is through challenges and dare i say hardship.  If it was through joy and love only there would be no measure to say this is pure love and joy.  As you rightly said Spooky.

I do believe though when one who is going through fire the attainment of love and joy is the prize.
Another sign of burning in internal heat is crying; crying releases salt and the salt is the dross of a base metal life.  An interesting subject salt;  an analogy is Alice in Wonderland (Lewis Carrol- a adapt in spiritual matters).  She cried and cried pools of tears that enabled her to swim towards a table to reach the key to the door.  Lots of other analogies in Fire and Salt.  I believe these 'emotions' do literally change a persons physical metabolism; for the better or higher.

If a person who is spiritually ready (this by simply saying/praying I am ready and I knock upon the door) these things will happen in a natural way (some more or less) and here it is the art of discernment in life is part of the attainment in understanding all the little things that happens to one self in a day has meaning.  (i think DocM's post in C1 is a good example of this awareness)

Of course; this is one path as there are many and this might resonant to some and not to others who might be on a different path of attainment (attainment being spiritual growth)

Spooky, your questions about serving the poor, and not sitting on the internet, giving property away .. no Silver Birch does not talk about this.  He says the first sign of spiritual enlightment is psychic abilities the next sign is overall spiritual awareness.

Your questions are valid though; serving and helping the poor is always good and always needed especially children who suffer the most (i think) Sitting on the internet well ... theres a time to do this and a time to do that i think.  Giving property away .. mm only if you can and would like to although that is rare nowdays i would think.

We must also realise that we do choose our current lives before we enter our lives - alot of spiritual works have said this time and time again.  This is not to say the beggar must not be helped for the very act of helping someone down and out is love.  The perspective is a beggar has choosen that life and you will find that he most probably is an old soul wanting extreme fire in his soul. So when he looks at us he looks at the way we interact with him - do we treat him like an equal, do we give him money and feel an ease of our own conscious, do we invite him home to supper .. each person will respond to the beggar with his own persepective hardly knowing that the beggar reads the persons heart far more than say a 'church minister' (but nothing against a church minister who is on his own individual path) .. it is an extremely tough subject this and the persepective must not be oh you choose that life so i am not going to help you .. no that is incorrect and especially in third world countries with aids and dire proverty .. can we say - you choose that life while there is balant suffering happening.

An open heart, projection of love and support and helping where one can i think is the way.

And with OVER POPULATION being our biggest problem it is hard understanding suffering in this context.

i've rattled on long enough, thanks for reading my persepectives and look forward to anything you might want to say.

Caryn

Ps:  Wherefore art our friend Kyo?

Look for Silver Birch. The spirit of Silver Birch is currently communicating through gifted materialisation medium David Thompson. See audio clips on Victor Zammit's website:
