Hi Augoeideian and all, Silver Birch says the spiritual way isn't an easy way. Some might say "nah, then I don't chose it, I don't wanna hear this >you must work hard< stuff everyday, I do work hard and it yet doesn't work!" I have found out, in my life, there was nothing really easy. When I imagine I would start now without compromises an "easy living", it wouldn't work, this easyness would feel quite heavy after some time I guess. So, I tell everyone spiritual development isn't harder than the so called "easy living"- or I just delude myself. The other thing is, don't take the reverse-conclusion: "What is hard, must be spiritual beneficial". I have no counter evidence, but I don't either see positive evidence for that. I would say, if you want the bliss and the adventure of taking consciously a spiritual path, you must live with the consequences too, with expanded awareness you see more, but not only angels on clouds. Say Augo, does Silver Birch tell something about outerly signs of spiritual development, like "serving the poor", "is not wearing the expensiest cloths", "not sitting hours reading on internet boards", "has a spiritual teacher", "gave his/her property away" etc. ? (I haven't read Silver Birch)
