Hi, This is my very first post so hopefully I'm on the right board. Undecided

I lost a very dear friend recently and one morning while I was preparing breakfast and I wasn't even thinking about him he said to me, "I'm right here Sweetheart." It was as if he was in a different dimension, sounded like he was talking through layers, on the right side of where I was standing and rather elevated a little .... I'm sure it was him - it was his voice and he always called me Sweetheart.
What does this mean ?

Welcome to this website! You can learn alot here!
'What does this mean?' I can see that it means at least three things. Others could probably add to this list. It means IMO---
your friend cared enough to want to get in touch with you from the other side;
you are able to hear him when you're not too busy (you are 'clairaudiant" just as those who see images are 'clairvoyant')
you are curious enough about it to not dismiss it, so you will probably have more experiences from 'the Afterlife.'

Many of us here now accept those possibilities as 'normal'.

If you'll read Bruce's essays (listed at the top of the index pages) you'll have a better sense of what we're exploring here. We try to help each other find the best way to address our questions, since we all have questions because we're all growing in our understanding.

welcome Judith. same thing happens to me occassionally. a dear friend passed away. I was standing in the kitchen doing something mundane. heard and felt his presence. he said Howdy howdy! just like your friend called you sweetheart, howdy howdy was always my friends greeting when he came over to see me. plus it was his voice. so you see more of us are recognizing we can bust through the veil.

great to have you here. Signs are often very mysterious. I recently went through (and am still struggling with) a very difficult passing of my father, though I have had a number of "extraordinary coincidences" that might be construed as signs. In your case, you got quite a vivid one and I am very, very happy for you.

I think the key thing in your post was when you said "I wasn't even thinking of him". I think that when you were not expecting it, you could receive better. I think that is often the problem with grief and such, in that it kind of clouds our ability to receive signs.

I would take it as a great gift and I am happy for you.

Hi Judith that was a lovely experience for you to be visited by your loving friend,as our loved ones who have passed into spirit ,still come to show us love,i have seen my father since he died and heard him talk to me sometimes and i can feel the love when he is there,your loving friend is in a beautiful place now full of love and peace,but can still come and show you love at times.Love and God bless you.juditha
