My prayers to god for an answer
Jul 24th, 2006 at 1:38pm

Hi I pray to god every night for an answer ,and i know he does answer me ,because every time i pray ,i feel at peace within my heart and soul.I am on a path of trying to live in the outside world at the moment ,im seeing councillors and going to the hospital once a week ,in a discussion group of eight people ,who are on that path with me.So beleive in the power of prayer, because our beloved lord is always listening.God knows all and sees all and hears all. Love and god bless you all juditha

Juditha, I do know how powerful prayer is. I've seen miracles happen in The Healing Circle I belong to and also the Prayer and Healing Garden on Linn's Forum.

I wrote to Bruce awhile ago asking if we could have a prayer forum. I hope he is considering it. I believe that it would be very useful here and I feel that it brings more Love and Light to the forum and people on it. Wink

Love, Mairlyn

I also believe that our prayers are answered. Only this morning I prayed out loud in my car for help with a private issue. The answers came this afternoon from someone who echoed all that I have learned and now believe, and the answer was very very (is there a better word for very?) specific.

This person echoed ALL of the lessons I have learned spiritually in the last year.  It was as if she was giving me a refresher course in 30 minutes.  It was mind blowing how specific her words were. It was as if God "himself/herself" was saying, "yes, I hear you, and you ARE on the right path," and "I send you this person to PROVE to you that I hear you."

Our prayers should be fervent, and there is NOTHING wrong with DEMANDING assistance. Say it out loud. You will be heard.

love, blink Smiley

Isn't 'prayer' a personal activity? 'Communal prayer' or 'World Prayer Days', pilgrimages to 'holy places' prayer must all come under Natural Law - if a desired response is to be the outcome, then it must be earned.

Greetings, hiorta,
Could you please paraphrase (  Winkha! sounds like 'prayer-a-phase' Cheesy) oh well, could you please say more about group prayer being part of natural law ?  That sounds interesting but I'm not familiar with the idea.
Thanks, bets

Isn't prayer just a form of meditation?  Focusing good intent and good energy on one aspect of life, or self.  I've never understood people trying to talk to 'god', and 'him' interfering wth our lifes because of this conversation.

Just thinking out loud  Cool

"Focusing good intent and good energy in one aspect of life, or self"
I think that's a beautiful way to describe some prayers Indigio, those that might be gentler and more thoughtful than the "fervent" ones I described. I was just so happy to have someone two inches from my face (in the dentist's chair) answering all of my concerns unexpectedly that I was absolutely euphoric (and not from laughing gas--I don't use it Smiley  )

I feel that we are not alone, that we are loved and cared for in our darkest moments, our most child-like, or even at our most "unloveable" and that prayer is always answered. I don't believe God is a "director" of our lives but my understanding of "God" is that we are part of an amazing expression of creative force, and that this incomprehensible "Creator" cares about "His/Her" creations more than we can know, from our smallest utterances to our greatest longings to our deepest fears....we are beautiful just as we are, precious and loved, and happiest when we remember it.

All the best to you always,

love, blink
