Pratekeya:
All I can say is what worked for me. I started to see images (mostly moving) while meditating. I didn't understand what they meant at first. I'd see all kinds of things. People looking at me, people having conversations with each other (I'd hear them too), automobile accidents, automobile races, bicycle races, bicycle accidents, beautiful landscapes, sometimes with a bunch of people occupying them. Sometimes I'd see life size people walking right up to me. It was really puzzling.
Then one day I had a series of dreams which led to me realize that my higher self/and or friends from the spirit World were communicating with me. From then on whenever I'd see things while meditating, I would be shown symbolic message from my friends in the spirit World. Eventually things evolved to the point where they would show me things by having me take part in an experience (through a non-physical body).
Later on I realized that when I had experiences such as out of body experiences in the past, my spirit friends were helping me even though I didn't realize this. It seems like the same thing happened with Robert Monroe. For years he was helped by his I-there without realizing it.
So perhaps it is a matter of being open to what your spiritual friends have to share with you. You might pray to God or speak to your higher self, whichever approach feels right for you, and let them know that you're interested in seeing things. I'm certain they already know, but perhaps they're waiting for your okay. One thing though. Quite often things progress in a manner you don't expect, and sometimes it takes time for things to be preparred energetically. Also, things can progress only so far if you're not willing to let go of limiting ideas and emotional attachments. I'm still bogged down by some. Argh!

I've read through Bruce's first four books. I've got the workbook and his CD, and am working my way through the workbook (with the help of the CD). I'm not sure if I've got the feeling / placing intent thing down or not. I'm trying the affrimation, and following the sequential steps in the workbook. But I'm at the point where I'm looking for images in the darkness. I don't seem to see anything. I wish I did.
Any suggestions?
