     DEPARTURES and  ARRIVALS
Jul 11th, 2006 at 11:39pm

This was an old post a long time ago.  Several people have asked me to dig it up and repost it.

I was a Medical technologist/Microbiologist for many years before retiring from the field two years ago to launch stardust video productions.

This was posted on Bruce’s board a little over three years ago. Felt that I needed to share it with you all because there will be a chapter in my book  about hospital ghost’s.

Hospitals have always served as terminal to the physical.  Arrivals (Births) and Death’s (Departures) have enjoyed a lot of neat experiences meeting the arrivals and assisting the departing.

Two of them stand out.

                                        ARRIVAL's

One evening had to go to the Nursery to draw blood from three new babies.  Some days I can see lights (aura’s) around them. Some days I can’t depending on how tired or busy I have been.  On days that I am super tired from long hours under pressure. I see the lights clearly.    On this particular evening, was at the end of a killer 18-hour non-stop shift. The auras were bright.  Three infants had dim lights.  They turned out to be the three that I had to draw blood from via heel-stick.    Stuck the 1st infant.  Since the baby was pretty ill, had trouble obtaining blood.   Had to stick it again.  Heard a loud voice “ Quit Hurting That Baby “ Stopped, looked around, knowing that an angry mother was watching me through the window.  Looked around, no one there.   “Am I losing it?  “   Went back to work on the baby. Same message. Quit hurting that baby!   It was very loud and emphatic.

Looked around again. Finally realized that it was a strong telepathic message.    Looked at the crib behind. There was a black female infant looking directly at me.  I flashed a thought to her.  “Did you say that?  “  She said yes. Told her that the baby was ill, that the doctor needed these blood tests.  She said I will help you. Went back to the baby.  Got the blood that I needed without any problems.  Flashed back to her that I have two more babies to draw.  She knew which ones they were.  As soon as I said that, the other two with the dim lights lit up.    Drew them without any problem.    On the way out, figured this little girl may be a star child.  I stopped by her and thanked her for her help, and by the way, welcome to your new incarnation!   I was rewarded with a big intelligent loving smile!

                                                        Departure's

Used to work a lot of night shift’s.  Seven nights on followed with seven nights off.   It seems that a lot of patients who were just barely hanging on to life in ICU did not pass over until my seven nights started.   Took a lot of them to the other side as soon as they passed away.  One that that really stands out.  Went to ICU for another Code Blue (Cardiac arrest) This patient was a DNR (Do not resuscitate)

Quadriplegic terminal diabetic.    They had the crash cart out with us standing by in case the next of kin changed their mind about his status.     While I was standing there with my lab tray, saw a soft bright light float upward from the body.   As the light took on his human shape, he stood upright staring at his remains.  Heard him say to his-self, “I am sure glad that is over”.    He turned around and stared at me, asked me if I was god.   At the same time, a bright light appeared near the ceiling.  Told him that I am not god, pointed to the light in the ceiling that was getting brighter.  He looked at it, floated into it and disappeared along with the light.

Bob, it must have been quite an experience to be a Medic and psychically sensitive.
Hospitals have always given me the sense of another world .. i  like your description .. Arrivals and Departures ..  in a way they are like airports!

To encounter an old soul baby must have been so profound. And the chap who had just left his body .. lol glad that's all over and asking if you were god.. that is so sweet!

Thanks for these insights.

Bob-

Great story, thanks.

Reminds me of a guy who wrote a book based on a very powerful NDE he had while on the phone.  Bolt of lightening hit, and the nails in his shoes were actually stuck in the floor from the shock.

He is now either running a group of hospices or is doing hospice work, in order to reassure those who are nearing death that there is nothing to fear.

I wish I could recall his name or name of book, he's been on tv several times but not lately.

I also wish more doctors and nurses would write stories about their own experiences.  I'm sure there's a gold mine there.  I've read Dr. Melvin Morse's books about children and death, they are inspirational but I'm sure there are other equally powerful stories if they could only be culled into a book or two.

I agree with Rog - I'd love to hear more stories from Doctors and Nurses.

By the way Rog, Dannion Brinkley is the name your looking for.  Check out his website below:

Thanks for a great story, Bob,

Rick
