The following is by Sarah (Astralpulse.com):

"I know that this topic comes up fairly regularly. It's when you have just separated and you find yourself automatically spinning. And then normally (from what I've read), you spin even more until you feel sick and then that's the end of the experience.

Well, it happened to me for the first time last night. During the night I had an OBE where I started to spin slowly just upon exiting. I remembered all the posts and thought I'd see what, if anything, could be done to stop the spinning.

At first, as I began spinning, I thought to myself, "oooh, I'm spinning". This made the spinning go faster. Thought = reality.

Then as I spun faster, rather than get fearful of the spinning and panicking, I thought I'd like to slow it down. It did. Then I thought it slower and slower until it stopped. I then managed to upright myself and went about having a "normal" OBE.

The key to stopping the spinning is not to think "I'm spinning, I'm spinning!" but to remain calm and mentally slow the spinning down. It works. Well, it did for me."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------

I read this, and it kind of brought up the eeby jeebies with regards to the afterlife and thoughts actually being not as controllable and governable as I once imagined... Especially when considering that they have the most extreme effect on one's surroundings... This quote kind of leads me to wonder if I might in fact have the problem of creating the "Elephant Ice Cream Cone" that I had pondered in my earlier post...

Thoughts?

that was interesting Cosmic anothers viewpoint on the spinning. I always enjoyed the spinning the most of all and wouldn't want to stop it. have you ever been extremely tired and laid down to sleep and u start sinking into a spinning feeling? its most pleasant.

but I can see she wanted to control it and its very positive what she did to think to make it stop. I think we are energy and naturally spin like that when leaving the flesh as this energy. its really our home out there, we just don't remember right now while we have a life in flesh. if we remembered we might not want to come back so quickly. I do believe there are guides monitoring the astral realms and we don't always see them helping us develop our sea legs so to speak. they want us to think we are doing all the work. ever notice when a baby is just beginning to walk, it keeps falling on its butt? we gently pick it up set it on its feet to try to walk again. pretty soon its running all over the house. thats how we are now when going obe, we keep getting help from the guides but we have to learn by ourselves essentially.

hugs, alysia

I truly believe we are part of the same disc here Chuckles... Our curiosity has led all of us to this site. Makes me wonder. Couldn't be more proud to have you all in my disc... in our discs, as we spin endlessly off into eternity chuckling as we go. <<< (What a beautiful image.)

Does anyone know how many bodies we take with us after death? Are we just trimming back the material or do we get taught out of some others too?
The way that relates to this thread is that I've been picturing romantic C1 love as an encounter with at least several chakra motors running.  And each chakra-motor is powering one 'layer' of our being. The more chakra-motors are running, the stronger the feeling of love energy ?  But if we hang up a few layers of our body at the pearly gates coat-and-body rack, then what do we feel love with?
