"Doorsteppers' desease"
Jun 25th, 2006 at 9:22pm

Hi people!
Sometimes I'm dreaming in English, despite my native language is German. Last night I dreamt this:

I was in a kind of semi-public building, from the feeling it could be a building for research or a hospital. I was in a room. Someone looked into the room at me and said: "We didn't know you are so ill." I replied: "Oh, I know, but they didn't tell me any details. So what do I have?"

The person: "You have the doorsteppers' desease", and immediately I saw a man in a door, this picture meant a doorman you have at discos and clubs, I don't know what came first and which has priority, the odd word "doorstepper" or the picture of the doorman.

Then, as a sort of explanation, I saw a visual of me playing a role and being ironic and funny as I often do. Then there was this visual of the doorman again, he was saying: "All under control", and I got an info, like "See, that's what they're always saying, but it isn't so."

Hi ,
Does this have to do with your post about burning out your center?
It would be in English because our worrisome responses came to you in English and caused this dream?
You would be the doorstepper, stepping thru from one reality to the other side.
But by your activity and attitude you showed  that you are in high spirits and are OK.
Well, my interpretation may not be accurate but I like its outcome!  Smiley

Thanks Bets! Yes that's the happy interpretation. The unhappy would be that I am the doorman who says or even beliefs "all under control" but my belief wouldn't be true.
Yes I was a bit concerned about my health. Dreaming and thinking in English language surely has to do with this board, as well as Bruce's books and RAM's voice on the HemiSync recordings.

Hi spooky
Had to smile thinking about "Doorsteppers disease"
that would have the medical associations hopping up and down and they would be bringing in the "men in white coats"
the name just seems to have a good sounding name and it intrigues me.
regards to all

Hi Cathy, so if this term is sounding well it should be used, maybe for people who get problems from being too curious or such...

hi Spooky. when I interpret dreams I like to take the words apart; so here goes:

door = to leave or enter a room, a point of entrance or departing.

stepping = pointing to levels; one rises a step or descends a step

disease = when one is at ease, one is relaxed and assumed healthy.
when putting dis in front of ease, we associate we are not at ease; from the word disease we can generate and imagine we are more ill than we really are.

from all of this we have your helpers telling you what you have. you may be ill at ease to always be stepping through doors and yet never arriving? just a thought about how many doors the average person walks through in a life time.

I love the term 'doorsteppers' disease.'  There's something about it that just makes me feel like getting up and dancing or something. LOL

I too forgot to mention how much I enjoyed that unique word doorsteppers like stepping on doors instead of going through them? I also thought about Spooky as highstepping. thats a real word.

Hi!
>>>stepping through doors and yet never arriving?<<< I just resonate with this!

Hmm Mairlyn, yes the term has some rhythm in it! So in the end I invented a new English term. Would be glad I could add something to the English language!
