Question about earthbound spirits.

Hello everyone.....I was just wondering...say a spirit is earthbound....a ghost....and say they are earthbound and have an attachment to a particular person.....they love this person and they have unfinished business........what does the earthbound spirit do with its free time.....surely they are not always clinging to this one person......dont they get bored?! Do they visit others or take little breaks.....me and my friend are "dying" to know the awnser to this! Thanks! Wink

Those poor souls are why it's good to learn to do retrievals!
Guess their schedules depend on other aspects. If they're compulsively repeating one short scene (that perhaps their beloved sometimes picks up on) then they could be in a type of hell with little consciousness left for anything else. If they're sitting on a stump somewhere just waiting for their partner and no one else stops by, they're at a different level. Their schedules are self-imposed by the limits of their consciousness.
Retrieval visits don't last long enough for the retriever to get a full timeline, as far as I know.

Thank -you.....tried to do some of my own retrievals for this soul.....but no luck so far.

I am wondering how it is that his consciousness is limited and perhaps his guides cannot reach him........Why is it that a mediun I had visited who channelled him had no problem making contact with him and he seemed fully aware that he had not crossed over yet. He knew his situation and he wasnt in denial; he just stated he wasnt ready to officially cross over yet. Could it be that (in some cases) a soul who can be in their own private "hell"......but its there choice and they will cross over on their own time when ready? He also admitted to dropping by his friends place for visits occasionally.....so there does seem to be some variety to his routine. This psychic was definatly not a fraud.....she got everything right..............

Yes baby_duck, I think this is possible. There are people who want to stay side by side with the "physicals" and they're aware that they aren't physical.

Also, I once came in a higher astral level across a jail- on this level a jail wasn't to expect. I was told some people go into this jail with free will, just to think about the bad (their own judgement) things they've done, and the surrounding, the jail, was chosen consciously as a reminder for themselves. They could leave whenever they wanted to.

Of course earthbound spirits aren't always clinging to one person.

Are you clinging to one person right now, and never leaving them in a room alone?

Of course not.

You are walking around, looking outside, talking to other people, traveling, etc.

It's going to be the same way with spirits.

Some people have this belief that earthbound spirits are sitting on a chair/couch in their living room, watching their loved ones. While this is possible, spirits would also be doing other fun stuff.

Spooky......thanks.......I guess a spirit has free will and they are free to move on when they choose to do so..........and no one can force them.......

Ryan.......I found your response made alot of sense to me.........dead people are just like us.........w/o bodies.......................your comment put everything into perspective for me ..........thanks.......................I do have one more question:

How does one know for sure when their loved one has officially crossed over????

I have heard that one cannot make contact with a deceased loved one in a dream until they had officially crossed over. In other words if a loved one was a ghost and not a spirit from the otherside......you would not be able to make contact with them in a dream untill they had crossed over. Are there any other methods of knowing when this happens? (He is very close to doing so, if he hasnt allready done so...) Thanks! Kiss

Dreams are the closest encounters we have with the Other Side because it's in this unconscious state that our own spirit, or astral, bodies are able to go to the other realm and meet with other spirits.

Whoever said you can't meet loves ones in the dream state is a liar. Dreams are spirits way of communicating with people directly, being as the spirits themselves look lucid/trasparent when people see them.

My grandpa sometimes told me about his mother, about 20 years ago when she died, came to my grandpa in a dream. He said it was just as real as him and I talking. My grandpa astral projected, but didn't know it.

What I had been told was that "ghosts" or earthbound spirits cant communicate through dreams;however, spirits......those that are in heaven cant in fact communicate through dreams..........your grandpa's mother had probably crossed over (meaning he was a spirit and not a ghost). That is........if this theory is correct.......if a spirit chooses not to acknowledge the white light at end of tunnel and not cross over for whatever reason...they are a ghost.
