Through the glass!
Jun 19th, 2006 at 5:17am

My first 'outside the house' OBE experience!

My OBE experience has, up to now,  been quite limited.  I have experienced walking and floating
around my bedroom and kitchen on about four occassions but have never been conscious of how
i got there or going back into my body.

During the early hours of Saturday morning; i consciously experienced my first proper OBE.
I had woken up and went downstairs made a cup of tea and settled in my lounge to read.
I had a pile of my books next to me and was going through them - i read extracts of Guidance from
Silver Birch - and coincidentially on this board i had read the name Charles Tart and knew i had
seen that name elsewhere; and realised that one of my books 'Psychics, Prophets & Mystics' by Jon Klimo foward to the book was written by Charles Tart.

So i was reading this book and reading the extracts of the 'Seth' 'Michael' and 'Lazarus' writings when i drifted into sleep.  I then had this vision or image that came as clear as daylight to me.

I was at work; and my office was fill of clear, blue water and in this water was three pools of blood.
I was standing in the water.  The next moment i heard a loud, loud alarm sounding in my ears.
This alarm sounded like a fire engine truck's siren blasting and clanging (my ears are still ringing a
bit with this sound) then i felt the intense spinning sensation (it as always been at this stage i have
hesitated and it has stopped) but i was conscious of what was happening and i said to myself
'yes, lets go'.  My spirit came out of my body and took a forward dive - i physically felt as if i was diving into, though it was into the space just below the couch, i felt i was diving into 'somewhere' but i came up again in the same space and glided right through my lounge window.

This moment was incredible for me; i went straight through the glass into the garden.  And i was delighted! I floated up above two tall trees i have in my garden and raised my arms and spread out on my back and said 'Glory to God in the Highest!' .. here i noticed my voice had no projection and these words were said inside me although it was not my thoughts it was my voice.

Then i thought okay where should i go; then i thought my body should be okay .. i hope i don't get 'stuck' going back.  Immediately i fell down into a large bush in the garden.  i even removed a twig from my hair.  then i heard 'lets go now' and a speed so powerful lifted me up out of the bush and the next thing i was floating gently into my body. i was delighted! Still am.

In reflection; i realise it is important to have a destination planned beforehand.
Dont think about your body - it is fine.  Also, i realise i must fine tune my spiritual 'motor skills' as i was not as graceful (as i try to be) in normal life.  i was a bit clumsy and wobbly.

So i am planning my next destination will be;  i live on the edge of a large botantical garden that has three large dams in it and is the most beautiful place where i walk often.  It is here where i will go to practice my spiritual body movement and it is here that i will ask to meet my guide.  Next .. the Moon, Venus .. the Aksahic Hall of Records (this is what Rudolf Steiner did) so i may confirm some points i have been pondering.

After this experience i feel fill of courage.  Courage to take on the trials in my physical life and courage to explore the spiritual realms.  And if Molta had asked his question 'how do you know' i would have answered with this single experience.

i also, have a theory of how to OBE and it ties in with Arcane literature that has a veil on this subject. i am in the process of working out this theory in my mind.

Glory Glory

i was also wondering, the other members here who have OBE experience where is your planned destination? And i understand your postings better now.

And if other members are still to OBE - where would you go first of all?

Hooray! Good for you, Aug..!
Congratulations on the OBE!
That botanical center sounds wonderful; you must be inspired every time you see it. You were wise to practice first too, getting used to being free of the physical. Your agenda for future flights sounds well planned!
Could I suggest another step now that you are free?--If you pray to help someone in particular, you will set your intent toward the Godhead and exit thru the top of your head, soar up to another level (with your Helper?) and meet that person with Helper way up there (unless they are quite ill, which maybe you should avoid awhile.). The communion of souls is wonderful! It may not happen at first but in the meantime your prayers are certainly not wasted.
BMoen's experiences are thru the third eye.  He doesn't advocate OBEs. The higher you can exit the finer an energy you are attuned with, which will do you well for that final passing over. (Tibetan info.)
Much happiness with this!

Hi Bets  Smiley

Thanks so much for your encouragement; i do feel reborn!
And thank you for your advice; it does make a lot of sense.

i am helping a person who is handicap and has had as series of operations
on his back and legs (he is actually in theatre now again as we speak)(may he be comforted
and blessed with a successful operation to take away his pain)

i will pray for him as you suggested and ask my Helper to help him .. maybe meet with
him beyond his pain?

Thank you again, your message came just in time.

My love
Caryn

Hi! I found all my obes to be highly useful in my spiritual journey although like Bruce, I never learned to control or induce them, however, there are a few people out there who are adepts at it. I love reading about them Caryn.

These experiences you feel more than you thought you were before in the sense it feels like in obe you have a body with you.. The real value I found in obes or dual consciousness or phasing, or retrieving or healing; is the sense yes, I AM more than I thought I was. I am a spirit on a journey who thought I was limited to that mound of flesh with its concerns of temperature, and fuel and comfort, etc. it only happens for me these days when I intend to deliver a message or a service from PUL. I see our higher selves as enacting these experiences..as once you have one, you never forget it; even if you only had one. and so I see your higher self as gifting you Caryn and I'm thrilled as I can relate.

I very much want to go to the moon or another planet should I be able to set a strong enough intention. A friend of mine visited hell. that was pretty interesting. maybe I can get him to come post it. When obe I have a sense that I'm really where I think I am, to have identification with a body, which exists in a certain location. whereas on the spiritual side of the viewpoint, location, time and space are illusions. I only think I'm here! lol! even if it's just an astral body of astral material. still, obes are profound as beginning stages to learn we are not just bodies. I believe one must graduate to phasing as Monroe did eventually. the obe comes first. or even the imagination first. I believe this because Monroe obed first and later developed the phasing or I assume he was "just there." which is what I think phasing is. maybe that was a merge between the two halves of the brain, or the conscious and subconscious merge I've been studying. its like swimming inside your body if you get my drift, where all the hidden thoughts are. its a tailor made journey for your eyes only, but we have to share..its like being in love...it makes you sing.
to understand me though, you'd have to think that all is allusion and nothing was real here. I'd say maybe 10% of our total being is here. I'm actually having a latte in the sky now at my stand.

once Caryn, I put my hand thru the wall in astral..what fun! the wall was not real. its only real in C1. or should I say, it's not a solid wall; just a bunch of particles and atoms and whatever floating in space. wait, it's light. made of light, and so are we. we are projections from...we are thoughts of god. knock knock whos home? just somebody that thinks they are limited, separated and not like god. heck, I'm a habit I can't break!

oh, I know where I wanna go more than the moon..I want to hear some choir sing..I think I know these people! they say once you get on the other side, like in NDE, you just don't want to be here anymore. I'd say that was one intense journey then. Next PE Caryn, I hope to see you there! hugs, alysia

That was a great story Augoeideian!

Chuckles wrote:

With regards to choirs singing, one of my relatives whom had a NDE as a result of a head injury reported hearing the most unimaginably beautiful angelic music... He said that he heard choirs singing... He said that it sounded kind of like one of the songs off of the album "Enigma". Altough, he said that it was harmonious on an unimaginable level; very soothing, comforting, and peaceful.

I'm looking forward to hearing that someday.

Caryn said:  So i was reading this book and reading the extracts of the 'Seth' 'Michael' and 'Lazarus' writings when i drifted into sleep.  I then had this vision or image that came as clear as daylight to me.
____

the reason I bring this up, of what u were doing just before the obe Caryn, is because the same thing happened to me shortly after reading a book where I had been concentrating on whether I could do a retrieval or not; a question of capability was up for me. I really wanted to be of service this way, just wasn't sure I could. but without reading the book (Monroe's) I never would even have been curious to try. I think the mind can get so focused on self questions that if it's meant to be, and the reasons are right, we go obe and have a mind blowing revelation is the only way I can describe some of our adventures. so I think your experience is related to some deep thinking process you were doing, which does not in any way lesson the beauty and realness of it.
_____

Cosmic, one time I "almost" heard the choir. I was checking out 9/11, in C1, using the imagination to get me started. just watching folks transit between the two planes..when I caught a faint sound of a choir, like an ocean wave, not an off note in the bunch..I got nostalgic..I've been in choirs..its nice...but this one was making me too emotional so I came back to C1 before I received the full sound..ooouuuuuu.  someday I'll hear them again.
thanks for telling us about what your relative heard. there is a lot of comfort on the other side truly. Chuckles

Speaking of what Caryn wrote:

"So i was reading this book and reading the extracts of the 'Seth' 'Michael' and 'Lazarus' writings when i drifted into sleep.  I then had this vision or image that came as clear as daylight to me."

Yesterday, while at work, I was sitting in my chair and began to feel drowsy... I closed my eyes for a brief period of time and saw an image appear in my mind. It wasn't a sleeping image, but rather, a clear unquestionable image. It was a visual of a bright crisp sun surrounded by majestic greyish/white clouds that were very wispy and magical-like... I'm still not sure what this was or what it means, but it was very calming and very picture-esque.

Hi Alysia and CA and everyone Smiley

Thanks for the postings.  CA that was quite a image / vision that you saw - deserves a painting!
I enjoy reading your postings Alysia and find what you say very inspirational.
Putting your hand through the wall must have been fun!

i wonder what your friend thought about hell and did he have a guide with him?
It makes me think about the Dweller of the Threshold - very nicely portrayed in harry potters philosophers stone book, or movie - the three headed dog that guards the entrance to the philosophers stone.  The dog (cant recall his name off hand) is there for a reason.  The reason being; to protect the characters in the story from themselves.  They could get past him because they knew how; in this case they played music and he went to sleep.

i have read The Dweller of the Threshold protects spirits that are not ready to enter further realms - for their own good.  From what i understand one of the biggest tasks is to meet with our Dweller as a sort of test in readiness to go further.  It is further said that the Dweller is ourselves - we meet ourselves and hopefully like what we see - if not we are not ready.

What do you think about this Alysia?

i do think reading spiritual literature helps the spirit loosen itself and the spirit guidance books like Silver Birch and Seth .. did it for me although before that i was reading literature on the number 17 as well. Also i reckon being 'full up' with sleep helps - i dont think a tired mind and body is relaxed enough to be free.  (roll on holidays!)  Also i have a theory, that i mentioned, but its not developed or thought through enough to share just yet but once i have collected it i wouldnt mind your opinion on it.  lol

i like the sound of the choir! it is said our universe was created by God sounding one note and this is the reason it is called the Music of the Spheres.

i must say i am hesitant to include the Dweller part that i have written because i think it comes across as 'all very serious' and with the bit of freedom that i experienced and reading your experiences Alysia .. i just wonder about this Dweller.

i will look out for the next PE  Smiley

hi there...yes, Caryn, it was fun. I noted the texture of the wall, my hand was real, but this is where I began to understand that everything is made of light.

I'm going to talk to Bob about posting again his visit to hell, which was a state of consciousness of a person who was in prison basically. I'm sure if he gets time he will give us a run down. I believe he did have a guide with him.

Dweller of the threshold is a mysterious term and I like it but don't relate good to mystery...all my guides are ordinary blokes who make me laugh. I have come across in experience people who surround themselves with guardians, which turn out to be members of their disc, or close friends/affiliations from eons of time; these I usually explain what I'm doing there and if they like my intentions, they let me see the person or go and get him/her. on the other hand, I think you might be talking about higher self to be the gatekeeper perhaps. I totally believe higher self watches out for your best interest and won't let you out of body if it's harmful to you. higher self knows more than C1 consciousness. I didn't read Harry Potter but I think it's a wonderful book...especially since a segment of Christianity objected to it...then i knew it was good!!! I apologize to any Christians if I offend, but there are hidden messages in our universe and Harry Potter tries to import the mystery and the wonder of our world.  would be glad to hear your theory or anyone's theory Caryn, I think we all have a few of those!  I promise not to tromple on it!

The dweller...now u turning my wheels...once I met my higher self, maybe more than once. the only difference between your higher self and your C1 self is one has given up attitude, desire, selfishness and C1 is just learning about all that.
this my opinion and not the opinion of the management Cheesy

hugs, alysia

Hey Chuckles, I think that you're right about finding universal hidden meaning/magic within given movies... Beings movies are derived from the creative powers of said individuals, I find it relevant to elaborate on the imaginative qualities therin. Afterall, we are the essence of God's movie; the essence of our own movie. As you have elluded to in a previous post, we are all qualified actors. Maybe movies help to expand on all of our creative/imaginative capabilities.

I have found some great imaginative works in the Lord of the Rings trilogy... It's these types of creative juices that adds the colorful brilliance to our current state of "Earthened" physicality. It also opens the floodgates of imagination to people that may have otherwise been creatively restricted to this etheric flow of wonderment.

Great observation.

I had a lot of spontaneous OBE's back in my pre-teen days.  They faded out in my late teens and early 20's.

Started working on them again to bring them back. Tried for several weeks to no avail.   One night, it finally happened.
I was in the Air Force stationed at Grissom AFB in Indiana living in the barracks.   Woke up and found myself standing by my bed.  Saw a man lying in it. Bent over to try to get a closer look at him.   He looks familiar.  What is he doing in my bed ?  That man looks like me, then it finally dawned on me, that I was OBE.... Man.. This was so cool !!  Finally made it.  This was around two AM.  Heard a couple of airman come staggering down  the hallway drunk.  I went through the concrete wall and felt a mild tingling sensation as I passed through the wall.   Wonder if they can see me ?   Tried to get their attention.  Nothing.  O.K.   If I am invisible, I'll turn the light amd surprise them. The hallway lights were by the door to my room.

Hand went through the light switches.  Stood right next to them and waved, even tried to yell. No voice.  One of them hit his door pretty hard trying to get into his room.   The noise woke my physical body up.  Felt a strong pull, and suddenly I was  in it.   Got up in the physical this time Smiley   Poured both of them into bed before they could wake anybody else up.

I was so excited about that experience, that I stayed up all night writing down all of the details.  Was also extremely happy and releived that I could have OBE's  again.        Love Bob  Smiley

Hello all and hi Bob

Bob what a wonderful story - thinking that person looks familiar, oh its me! it must have been quite unusual to be invisible infront of your colleagues - i think if they did catch a glimpse of your astral light they would have sobered up pretty quick!  Wink  Also not having a voice - that is a strange sensation hey - i have read it is because sound does not travel in 'out of space' although here i think it is also relevant to 'inner space' !  Also an interesting remark that you could not switch on the light; goes to show that material things actually do not exist ! As Alysia was saying pure atoms.

Thanks for the posting Bob.

i wrote this yesterday in reply but as i was posting there seemed to be a timeout gateway error (lol gatekeeper!) at the point i quickly copied my post and was able to save it - phew! and i could not log back in yesterday but i see now i have been logged in since then .. ah i love life isn't it great!!

well here we go my yesterdays post!

Morning,

Fluffy!  Of course thanks Cricket .. such a cute name for such a ferocious looking animal  Wink

Thanks for the reply Alysia, yes we know when an religious element criticises certain 'stories' we on the right track! i feel sad for them though; they cannot see the magic that in turn relates to freedom.
Lord of the Rings is another brilliant 'story' - Gandalf my hero!  These two stories came out at more or less the same time which makes me think we are being nutured as harry & the rings compliment one another.

It would be very interesting if Bob may write his experiences.  Prison seems to be quite a magically place (although on the surface it certainly does not look like it)  i have read quite a few people who have transformed and transfigured themselves while in prison.  It must be the isolation factor as well as the reaching rock bottom that makes them search inward for meaning and it seems that they find it.  i think of Nelson Mandela for example; 28 years in prison. He was enlightened before he went in as well!

i think i would prefer another more romantic place though than prison for enlightment!

Alysia i appreciate your comments of the Dweller, yes a gatekeeper - that is nice.  Our higher self, you right, and like you said i think it is a part of our higher self, our C1 self right.  i wonder if it is our Ego manifesting our total self todate.

i see the new board forums on Bruce's work - it looks great and i will be reading through with great interest.  Thanks guys.

Have a great day!

Just a further thought - we should say to that Randi guy who wants to offer money for proof - we should say to him - prove to us that material things exists!!
