How do *you* know? (Read 4988 times)

My own personal spiritual growth, theres a reason for everything in our lives. When we process and grow through our own journey, we are allowed glimpse confirmations that there is so much more. The key is to work at a soul level, grow through your own pain .The lessons you have agreed to confront and overcome, then there will be no more questions for you. then you will be-able to have direct contact with the higher powers that be, so to speak. Its all about focusing on yourself and not avoiding the lessons that are placed before you.

Then you will not have to question for you will know. Really, know one can tell you for you have to experience these things for yourself, thats where inner knowing comes from.

Love is the key

When one talks about the Afterlife it is serious business not to be taken lightly;
people's minds, hearts and souls are special and cannot be messed around with.

Your question is a good one Molta and as i make statements on the Afterlife i think you
deserve an answer from me. I gather my reasoning here;

My Intuition has always been developed from an early age; right from when i was born
you could say. This Intuition, which i rely upon and trust, gives me my knowing or another
term - appropriate form. Intuition is not uncommon, especially with females. (It is said
the female soul does not incarnate as deeply into matter as the male spirit - although
a sign of the spiritual dawning happening in our era is male spirits are not incarnating
so deeply either)

So firstly Intuition is one of my corner stones. Along with this is i have always felt my Ego to
be on the 'outside' of me - although not 100% on the outside but most of it on the outside.
This is what happens in the development of a child. Up to the age of about 7 years
(the change of teeth) a child's Ego is on the outside of them. This is why they perceive
far more than what adults do. After the age of 7 a dramatic happening takes place
and the Ego enters the body and this is when some of the original perceived magic
disappears. Somehow i feel my Ego has never completely entered my body and
remains in touch with the astral world around us. This also is not uncommon amongst
psychics and mediums (although i would say i am psychically sensitive - as most people
are - i have never felt an attraction to mediumship)

At the age of 8 i had a spiritual experience that involved two angels; this experience has never
left me. From the age of 12 i started my passion for Astrology and it has never stopped.
I believe Astrology is the key to the Afterlife. And from this age on i have had nightly
visits from 'Shinning People' not in spirit form but a light that fills my whole room but i sense
it is in a form of a person - she sings and i'm filled with love. I have had intense dreams
and some of them have been prophetical. I have animal guides that accompany me
in further intense dreams. I see malefic spirits that haunt me at night and i see these spirits
attached to people during the day.

I have a natural love for Christ which has deepened so much over the years. I have had an
emotional upsetting life, when i was young and even up to now (father and husband abuse
to be frank)(i refuse to carry it as baggage) These moments, in the pits of despair, Christ
has come to me and comforted me. His coming is a sense of knowing He is there and
immediately i am calmed and my heart is lightened. I asked Him to come from a early age.

Then about 10 years ago (aged 30) i felt i was loosing everything, my faith, my intuition, my
sanity and i prayed .. i prayed and i said 'God, please make me a better person'
It was a profound moment that i felt happening.

Since then my path went deeper into spiritual knowledge; i discovered esotericism.
(Dictionary meaning esoteric : restricted to or intended for an enlightened or initiated minority;
difficult to understand; not openly admitted; private)

This is a world i immediately resonated too and my astrology studies tied in much to my delight.
In the canny way that the world works; it was not as if i went to look for esoteric literature (at the stage i did not know it even existed) it came to me out of the blue - a stranger - who came and left.

i live my life as an recluse (not because i want too that is just the way, maybe because i have a shy character) although i do work (i own my own small company) i have always from young until now been on my own 80% of the time. My time outside work is spent studying esoteric spiritualism and astrology. For the past 10 years i have dedicated my life to studying this work and it is only now that i have come out to share, on this site only, what i have learnt (and Spitfires sort of .. lol)

i have over 100 esoteric books and i say right now that they all say the same thing. (although a few i dismiss) There is a thread that is not lost and it is confirmed time and time again. And i just know it is True.

Also, magic happens in my life .. not a huge amount but little moments that are filled with meaning.
Wishes that come true, things that are lost are found, a tiny gift that appears from nowhere.
A extraordinary sensation of nature transforming happens now and then and a sense of high vibration ley lines.

My birthchart, my numerology .. but i wont go into that.

Now i have written this im not sure whether i should post it - it is um .. my life. And it may not interest anyone! But i think your question deserves an answer and with all the above Molta, do i feel justified? i cannot doubt myself i have come too far to doubt it all.

Greetings Molta,
I'd agree with LightR-on and Augoeideian that for me it's a process. There were some dramatic highlights along the way when a protective guidance led me aside and initiated a dialogue, some personal empowerment after de-demonizing a student, my first retrieval, other milestones --- but there was also the terror from some memories that wouldn't allow me to believe in anything better or anything a church would promise. That terror had to be eroded and it's eroded fast here at this site.
Everyone's 'journey' is different tho. Do you feel stuck without one outstanding experience to propel you into such a belief?

Hi Molta,

I would have to say that I had some doubt to begin with, but with so many trips to the afterlife, I quit doubting and KNEW that what I was experiencing was real. There is a knowing that comes with experience. My first doubts were because it was so easy to do that I thought I might be making it up. I was also so open to the fact that there is an afterlife and that was because my guidance was working with me, encouraging me because this is one of the reasons I am here on the earth plane now. Plus I had read Bruce's first 3 books and they made so much sense to me that I KNEW I had to learn how to do retrievals. Wink

so I have some new words I just made up. the jist of my journey is this: when you u get so far down that u can't see the bottom and you give up in despair..theres something in the darkness that reaches down to you and lifts you so high that you know you will live forever; maybe not in the same form or body, but as a part of this thing that saved you and rocked you back into what peace is.

thats all I can say on the subject now. but it also taught me to love others the way I love myself..or move in that direction. peace, alysia

You know,I was a little weary about an afterlife untill I had some experiences that left no dout in my mind about life after death.I want to ask you a question.Did you every have someone who hated you,and has sense past over?If you did have such a person,give him or her compleat love and forgiveness.I had a forman who hated me.He would go out of his way to make to get something on me.nobody where I worked liked this man.Some years ago he died.After having a near death experience,I became very spiritual.After this I gave the forman total love and forgiveness,and just forgot about it.Then one day while watching tv,I felt the pressure of a hand on my shoulder,and at the same I saw a light in the corner of my eye,When I looked over at the light,I saw the face of the forman.His face was solid and he was smiling,as if to say,thank you for forgiving me.He even showed his boddon teath.Love George.

Wow! I truly enjoyed reading all of your stories.

My story is quite similar to Chuckles':

Along with this, I have had/heard/witnessed numerous unexplainable spiritual experiences that have helped to solidify everything that had been building up inside of me. Sort of like adding water to concrete mix. I had all of the ingredients, but it took the final few sprinkles to make it something solid and tangible.

I liked what you wrote Augoeideian:

It seems to me that this is about the right age when the *magicalness* of reality starts to fade into that esoteric ringing/buzz heard silently within the ears. It's hard for me to feel that magic again, although there have been times... I have noticed that it takes a lot more work now to drown out the Ego than it did when I was little. I tend to feel that as we become older and older that original magic starts to come back again. Maybe that's because the Ego just plain gets worn out after so many years of service. Maybe the patterns/exhuaustion of the Ego just wears one out after awhile as well. Hence, the Ego disintegrates and the magic returns.

What aug is saying, and reading CA's last post, this rings bells with me . So... what happens @ the age of seven? Language solidifies in one's personal atmosphere; that's what creates the impression that magic fades. About or around the age of seven, we start identifiying more with words (concepts) than *direct* experience (that place where magic still lives) Perhaps when us mystics grow old ( and if we pay attention) a shift happens, we're bound no longer by concepts (once again) and live once more in the Real World.. except this time we have experience we didn't have before the 'fall'.

I just want to add that my story is quite dramatic true to my 'silent' dramatic life but
not everybody has to experience one single thing too know the knowness.

We must not dismiss our Ego - our Ego is the conscious of our soul - it is what thinks in 'me'
When pass through into the realms it is our Ego that tells us - I am here.

It is our Ego which re-embodies in new physical, etheric and astral bodies in progressing earth lives. The Ego is our seat of control over our will. And is likened too The Goddess of Beauty - Venus.
Indeed, it is our Soul's Conscious.

So we must not suppress our Ego we must rather strive to (keep it) enlighten it or change it; for the better to evolve to higher stages of being. In ennobling and spiritulising our Ego it becomes master in our soul's life.

i think misconception has come about because of the name : Ego and terminology such as egotistic. Although these terms are correct in they are refering to the Ego at base level, the ego that has not been purified or has not manifested from an unrefined state.

Striving in spiritual knowledge, enlightment and attainment transforms the Ego into a Spirit-Man. and this is done through the physical body translating our cells.

So we must realise the Ego has to come into the body at this age of 7 it is a natural process that leads to the unfoldment of our spiritual body. We must cherish our Ego's, our Ego's are old and have been with us from the start and will always be with us. We must not let our Ego become distant from our soul because then it is lost and randomly searches for love and meaning outside without looking inside.

As Tim said; he replied without thinking and what he wrote was true and fulfilling. Here is the Ego being master of the soul without stopping to let a unrefined Ego control his words, thoughts and actions. (sorry Tim use you as an example but it is a good one to say - trust your immediate reaction)

and George, your spirit of forgiveness is the true Ego holding hands with the soul.

I have always instinctivly had faith in the afterlife. It used to be a blind faith and I have had my moments of skeptisim. My B/F had passed away and I had a few experiences. I went to a medium and I only had to tell her his name and our relationship. She got his mannerisms, his personality and even voice inflectons on the dot. She shared info that I was not even aware of but was later confirmed through a mutual friend. I felt his presence many times. I am a mental health worker and at many times I started wondering wether or not I should be on the other side of the fence. I have managed to maintain a job, friendships and a somewhat balanced life so I highly suspect that I havent comepletly lost the plot. I had once read his diary outloud (he passed away in our apartment) and I started to see a smoky cloud. I wasnt sure if it was just my imagination. It started to take on the shape of a swirling grey cloud, other times an orb like shape. I cannot will myself to see this vision although I have tried. It only happens occassionally. When it does it is the coolest thing! Once I had tried to "release him" in a cerimonial manner..........my friend called me. I didnt awnser my phone.......but it did pick up (although I wasnt aware and I hadnt said hello). I was "talking to him", but I was essentially alone. My friend heard me talking to myself and crying and then he heard a male voice repeat over and over "Robyn, I love you" ( its sounded like the male voice was far away). My friend had stayed on the line for over 50 minutes before the line went dead. Remeber he is my friend and he would have no motive to mess with my head or make things up beacuase that would be a sick joke. He is very honest. When outside sources confirm my suspicions (psychics and friend) then I cannot purely write these experiences off as grief induced hallucinations. I have had other more subtle experiences that I will not bother to mention cause I am sure that you catch my drift. It is very inspiring to hear that others have experienced similiar things. Now I have a full blown obsession with the afterlife and I hope to have many more encounters in the future. Hope you do too!

Baby Duck..(really like your name and bet your B/F gave it to you! for personal reasons I like it as I opened my heart by falling in love with a real duck..haha! I'll spare you the details. Cheesy

so anyhoo, moving right along here, I'm glad you work in the mental health area and receiving such experiences with our greater reality as you are in a great position to pass on what you are experiencing and this will help the shift in consciousness move. I have heard conversations in my head going on seemingly separate from my brain/C1 consciousness and I've met a few here on this board who relate the same thing happened to them. it's like its another dimension where another me lives its life and the me who is here lives her life not remembering this other life where I live and work and have my relationships there. but sometimes theres that bleed thru. that momentary remembrance of being someone else. so I believe your experience is genuine and that the verification you received from your friend is probably blowing his socks off too and now he knows what you are going through on an experiencial level which is the best kind of knowing. so thanks for your example here; its really exciting to read your story. sets the tone for my whole day!

for my story regarding conversation on other levels; I am working with a music teacher on the other side, although he's more than just a music teacher; he's actually an icon to many. One day I noticed he had a new song out and the words in it I objected to as I misinterpreted them. In my mind I was so close to this person in spirit I told him he must never give up or give in and write words that could be misinterpreted the way I had done to his..I got over emotional and didn't mean to harangue so long. that night I went to sleep and woke up in another dimension and we were talking but there was no visuals and it was not like a dream with images or symbols, just the auditory factors of tone, inflection, voice modality but I was getting a bleed thru of our furthered connections and how I am truly connected to this person whom teachs me certain aspects of the music industry; actually I chose him as my teacher about 20 years ago. but its closer than just teacher/student relationship, but not just adoration, not like that. so I couldn't decipher the words correctly in the conversation; the brain was not understanding, but I was aware it was he. he had picked up I was worried about he might change his style to his detriment and was explaining, no, he hadn't changed it in the way I thought. I was being soothed my ruffled feathers (duck feathers) I just kept saying to him.."whoa dude, are u really here talking to me?" blow me down." he was acting like we did this all the time and was casual about it, so he definetely has a handle on obes and picks up the thoughts of others. I came to accept it that we meet out there after about 20 such episodes, each one helping me to know myself better..and god only knows if I'm doing anything for him!! probably not, but maybe I just don't remember all the details, and only see the specifics of what I need to learn right now, but the student always need the teacher as we all have specific connections to one another so I'm not so blown away by these conversations taking place anymore.the people you associate with tend to change your self image and its a creative process I've finally accepted.
