breaking barriers out of C1
May 18th, 2006 at 4:13pm

We are here learning to break down barriers between physical matters at C1 and the higher focus levels, right? Retrievals are supposed to be a major theme but many other topics come up, right? I am not a Spiritualist, but, thanks to juditha and this website, I'm learning to go beyond many boundaries.

For example, my Protestant upbringing did not suggest any intermediaries for prayer--no saints, ancestors, etc. It was Jesus or God, no one less for more personal dilemnas (sp?)--and no answers either.
So with all this spiritual contact being shown here, I tried asking for help from an ancestor, with a 40 yr old personal problem we'd had between us. Within a week I was shown the answer and today the answer arrived physically at my doorstep.  (My grandmother's gift to me, a quilt, was ruined and she blamed me for not cherishing it, etc. For the last 30 years I've searched for a similar one but never found anything like the original until a week after discussing this with my Grandmother's spirit and asking for her help.) I now have the sense that the breach between my grandmother and me is healed, and I have a physical object as proof to me. To me this is a miracle.

I realize it's not scientific or philosophic proof, but it sure seems like contact to me. Perhaps just asking our own family's spirits for personal forgiveness and clarifications is the intent we need to show our desire to work with them on various levels.

Hi Bets Its great your learning to go beyond your bounderies, spirit will always listen to you ,they pick up all your thoughts you send to them ,thats what happened with your grandmother , she helped you with this ,as she cant help physically, but she can send thoughts for you to guide you, she will always try and help you that way, because were she is in spirit there is unconditional love. Love and god bless you juditha

Hi Betson,

Your post is one of those posts of personal experience that tend to stop my analytical mind in its tracks. One can perceive in the writing the joy you engaged with upon receipt of the quilt, and the cognizance of 'healing' taken from its arrival.
ADCs tend to have this effect, and perhaps it is because I can be too analytical that I am not cognizant of any that I might have in my own life - I am bereft of personal spiritual experiences; no oobes, no NDEs, no angels 'trailing clouds of glory' to enlighten me on concepts spiritual.

I write simply to express an nodding of the head. PUL it seems, will embrace you everytime you wrap the quilt around yourself. Enjoy!

Regards

Thank you for your thoughts. They feel like blessings and I am very very happy to receive them.
Elysiumfire, back in the 1950's I read my first book about OBE. It was by a convict who fell into the practice as an escape from his hellish life.  We read the book in church youth camp and felt very liberal and forgiving that we could excuse this fellow for delving into the occult, considering his circumstances.  Lips Sealed Undecided Cry
Thank goodness such sanctimonious attitudes have somewhat changed. The author's example gave me an out for my own later problems---So be glad you didn't have to take that route !
Carl Jung says that when we've peaked with our jobs and families we'll start trying to fulfil our spiritual side.
By being at such places as this site you've already started your search!
(I'm relatively new to web discussions--what's an ADC, please?)

Hi Betson,

Marilyn is quite right, ADC is 'After Death Communication'. They can take many forms, one of the commonest is the scent of flowers, or perhaps, a scent strongly linked to the deceased loved one. Sometimes they can occur in dreams - non-lucid and lucid, as a visit, or the remembrance of a scene from life. I think they always hold a clue as to whom the communication is from (if the communicator is not actually seen), but many whom have them, and have become learned to them, know how to perceive them, and respond with a thoughtful 'thankyou'.

I'm not sure if I am on a 'search', more of a 'confirmation' I think, but I've been awaiting confirmation of my acceptance of post-mortem survival for many years. I should think that I will not receive such as as it may spoil the purpose (if any) to my life. As I continue to post (and if you read them), you may gather some inkling as to why.

Best wishes

Mairlyn,
Thank you. Duh!  Doink (hitting myself on head.) I should have been able to figure that out.

Elysiumfire,
I'm looking forward to any more that you share.
