Me and Deanna told by medium when we will die
May 16th, 2006 at 6:25pm

Hi I and Deanna went for a private reading with steven a medium from the spiritualist church we go to. He was spot on with everything he gave to us from our dad,and he put it all on tape for us. When the sitting finished, he told me and Deanna that we were both going to die in our 80s and which ever one dies first, the other one wont be very long after,so when we are in our 80s we will be waiting and thinking we are going to die. What do you think about this.Love and God bless juditha

The future is changeable. Anything a legitimate medium can tell you in advance is probability, not set in stone. A lot of free will can effect what she told you in the meantime.

When your higher self has determined that you are finished here, then you will leave.

Be very careful about predictions, Juditha, because they play on the subconscious creative mind, much as do curses and strong beliefs.

In other realms, such as the afterlife, our thoughts can create things immediately.  You'll find this in Bruce's description of Focus 27 on this site.  On earth, it is important to understand the laws of the mind, and how our thoughts interact with our reality.  It is not your stated thoughts that will necessarily come to pass, but your deepest beliefs, be they aspirations to greatness or fears.  Thus in the Bible do we hear Job say "that which I feared has come upon me."

One way I learned to use our own creative power of the mind was to meditate, and while deeply relaxed, I would impress suggestions onto my subconscious mind.  During meditation, much of the chatter and worries are simply not there.  So this is the perfect time to plant a suggestion for positive change on the subconsicous.

What we call the subconscious mind, is as Carl Jung the famed psychologist, described as a "shared or collective" mind.  It is the interface between our individual thoughts and the universe (including the afterlife).  This is why communication through dreams from a deceased relative may be so powerful.

The subconscious mind is a pure creative force.  It does not reason, it does not question.  It is not "us" so much as a part of the universe we all tap into.  If you give your subconscious good, noble and pure thoughts, you are bound to see these qualities manifest in your real life.  Likewise, if people allow their worst beliefs and thoughts to be repeated over and over, they will take seed, and their real lives will show the fruit of the negative thoughts.

Thus, as Dave on this board has said, we are all co-creators with God, only on the physical plane where we all reside, we must learn these laws of mind, and learn them well.

Now, to get back to the prediction of your death.  If you empower another to make a prediction, and allow that thought to settle into your subconscious, it can become a reality.  This is the power of the subconscious, but it can be used in a negative way.  I see nothing wrong with living well into your 80s by the way.  However, Rob is correct;  the future is unwritten.  It is unwise to have others make predictions, impress their views onto your subconscious and thereby give those views/thoughts power.

My two cents.

Matthew

Is being selective about what it told to you really the way to go?

If they trust this medium and that was told to them then how can they pick and choose .

I'd also not be so rash to just ignore the prediction. The medium didn't say theyre gonna die next week, he said in their 80's thats a good innings for anyone Wink

This reminds me of a Zen story of a man who falls off a very steep cliff and is holding on, at an impossible angle by a flimsy group of strawberry plants.  He looks up, and there is literally no way possible to climb up or be rescued.  He has two choices.  Either he can hold on to the plant until slowly he loses his grip, or he can take option number two.

The man smiles.  He picks the single juicy strawberry from the plant, puts it in his mouth, and bites down.  He then lets go.  The last thought in his mind before he dies is how delicious that strawberry tasted.

The point here is that the medium states that they will live into their 80s, and one will die, the other will follow.  This is actually how many siblings go.  However the prediction value of this may play so much on the mind that Deanna/Juditha may worry about it and have anxiety from it.  The man in the Zen story knew he was going to die no matter what.  He chose to live his last second, as he bit into the strawberry, and was only aware of the moment, of its juicy flavor.  He did not choose to hold on for another 30 minutes and then slip away screaming.

This is what I do not like about future predictions, and why I believe as creative entities we should not voluntarily give permission for another to dictate our fate.

In my experience, the future is written in pencil... it can be changed if you decide to change it.

Hey DocM, I like the notions that you have been elaborating on. It makes a lot of sense to me to think that what one lets "fester/be nurtured in their subconscious will eventually hold some weight to it in the "here and now"... Maybe while sleeping that's when the subconscious airingly "releases"; hence, wild/weird dreams sometimes. I also liked that "Zen story" that you included... I for one would grab that strawberry! Maybe if I had some time I would dip it in the "sugar petals" branching off of its "watermelon" stem! Grin

Hi DocM I and Deanna both talk about this now in some conversations and even say to friends and that ,that we are here till our 80s ,its like it is there planted in our minds now and the thought we have is, that its far away at the moment and we know it will hit home when we are in our 80s,so your right Doc M it is in our subconious now, feels like we know somerthing is waiting for us.Love and god bless juditha

Predictions are only predictions *for the path you are on now*.  So, (just for instance), it may be that if you have a habit of letting your cholesterol, say, creep up into dangerous numbers, and let that continue, then yes, that being your current path, you'll die in your eighties (pretty durn good for someone with bad choloesteral...;>)

Step over onto another path, however, and all bets are off.  Of course, if that new path includes an incredibly healthy diet, but a new passion for driving fast or sky-diving... Wink

Well my philosophy is : It has already happened therefore it is.

Keeping in my theory that we are travelling backwards in the already happened part; colouring it in so to say.  That means there is a record of what has already happened in the past and the future.

And Juditha seems to know some genuine Mediums.

Free will?  I always choose not to rely on predictions as there are always changes and I don't believe that everything is set in stone. However I see how close Juditha and Deanna are and how lost one would be without the other.

Namaste,
Mairlyn
