Meeting in the Afterlife?
Apr 30th, 2006 at 6:50am

When we leave this physical world and our soul/spirit arrives in the Afterlife what happens if, say, our spouse has already died before us but has decided to (re)incarnate before we have died too? Their spirit will now be in a new vehicle, namely a new body.

Does this mean that they are not there to receive us and we cannot meet with them?
I find this hard to perceive, especially when we are told that whatever we desire in the Afterlife is manifested for us.
If our spouse can be thus manifested does this also mean that their spirit can exist simultaneouly in more than one place?

Just wondering, as I also ask myself is this why mediums find it hard sometimes to make a connection with departed loved ones because their spirit has been (re)incarnated?

Your thoughts. please.

Hi Roger I have had the same thoughts about this, I remember when i and my sister were going to the spiritualist church every week.for the first few weeks, we seemed to get a message from dad every time ,then all of a sudden the messages just stopped coming, for weeks on end . So one week i asked the medium why we were not hearing from dad anymore, and i told the medium ,that i was worried he had reincarnated and we had lost him forever. The medium just said that they have work to do in the spirit world and they are sometimes busy, and said that they will not come through if they dont want to.I have had messages from dad since then. God bless juditha

Roger, I feel that in the case where one partner has already reincarnated, that an aspect of them will appear to greet the other partner. Remember that we are multidimensional beings and do so much more than we ourselves are aware of doing.

Marilyn,

I can resonate with what you say. Sometimes it is difficult to expand the mindset beyond it`s capabilities in the physical.
Your reply is exactly what I was hoping for.

Roger, this brings to mind a few years ago when I was doing partnered explorations with Gordon Phinn.  We went to TMI There to see if we could meet with Bob Monroe. Gordon sat at one end of a long table with an aspect of Bob and I sat at the other end of the table with another aspect of Bob.  Bob told Gordon that at that time, he could split himself into 12 aspects (and was going for more as he learned more) and that he was consciously aware of what each of the 12 aspects were doing and what they were saying. This made a big impression on both of us since I had called for Gordon to meet me at 'my place' a few times and an aspect of him always arrived even though Gordon wasn't consciously aware of it. He said he was busy driving a school bus. LOL

We are SO much more than we think we are. Wink

Hello Roger,

I actually just posted on this most complex topic in my last post under the topic of "personalities"... It's a story about a woman's experience with her grandmother, after her grandmother had passed on into the spirit world. It has to do with the multidimensionality of our spirits, and the complexity of our "ultimate reality" as beings of awareness/oneness with all.

Give it a quick read... you may find it useful. It does relate to your question quite a bit. Smiley

I understand from watching *The Magnus tapes* Colin Fry's Spirit Guide talking to the sitters that Whist he was answering their questions through Colin  that he was also in the afterlife talking to his wife there at the same time?? He said we can do many things at the same time...How Wonderful!

I suppose it's kind of like a guy I went out with years ago, who could play six games of chess (and win!) at the same time, and carry on at least part of a conversation with a seventh party, to boot.

It gets mind numbing to think about dividing your essence up.  And me, I lose my car keys every now and then, imagine if I leave my essence behind and can't find it!  Oh, the agony.  And my spiritual wife will give me an I told you so!

I'd like to think that we are multidimensional, of course God is multidimensional, and we all are one with the lord.

If anything we can imagine can be, who knows?  Still this is all conjecture.
