hi there, nice thread Cosmic.. my take on Bruce's thoughts (glad to see u Bruce!) is it's all an interpretation of truth and one must salt the food liberally with our choice of seasoning. I don't think reading necessarily creates real knowledge of who we are or are becoming, but reading makes life interesting.
we sample each other's wares.
the other day I thought I was clever, I assure its just an indulgence. I wrote down that life was like we each had a store in a mall. you enter and make your purchase of facts. you go in another store and purchase a few facts from the next proprietor; then you are gathering facts. one is a religious store, one is a natural earth store. my favorite stores are many, I have a music store and a personal relationship store I visit regularly. a friend of mine has a stock market store, but his is boring to me, but he a friend, even if I don't buy his facts that often. so on and etc and it's exciting to go shopping, maybe find a bargain, some facts cost too much for the budget of time. time is like money in the bank; sooner or later it will get spent. I like 2nd hand stores because some people don't recognize the value of what they throw away so I get a bargain for myself. we pick and choose where we will shop. and this would be like the reading of books...some books you might say "I want my money back!" haha! but another might find much facts in it. thinking on these things I like string theory...reality is determined by the observer. in that case, theres no such thing as a common fact, theres only consensus agreement that its a fact. in other words they said the world was flat and we all believed it one time. so now that I have you chasing your tail, I shall see if I can catch my own! lol!
Cosmic welcome again to afterlifeknowledge store!
you know, if I had known what I know now and not had my memory wiped out upon birth, I wouldn't have had all the experiences I've been thru and I would not be who I am..so I subscribe to Monroe's "probe" idea. we probe here and gather.
heres a tag explains my view a little: Perhaps my best years are gone but I wouldn’t want them back, not with the fire in me now..William Yates
more along the lines of your post thoughts Cosmic, there can be a syncronization of events individually speaking as well as collectively, a speed up which can happen when living in a now moment which precludes thoughts of the past or future; u get the smoother ride versus the bumpy, but only if that's how you want it so that u observe it that way, by observing it you create it because u r always looking for what u think about and focus on. then the now holds as well the future, as it is one thing seeming to be separate, but once u have all your eggs or facts in the basket u make them connect. emotions are a whole 'nother subject! I could rattle on that subject of emotions for a couple centuries...I gotta go to the store..lol...but we are all aliens and didn't know what an emotion was until we came here...are u buying that?? lol...
